ICICI Bank worst banking i've ever experienced!

I have been dealing with ICICI bank for the last 8-9 months with my salary account in HCL Technologies Limited, and credit card account (). So far I was very happy with ICICI bank. But today you people shattered all of my myths. If you see my credit card statements then, you will be able to find that how much I do transect on my card. I had cash back on my card before the month of December, when I purchased a product online (From Times Internet). This was never informed to me that you are drawing this offer back for internet transaction after December. You people keep on sending me a millions of e-mails and messages on my cell, about various offers and all other things, but you never did told this thing, also when I have availed this facility before. This is all your fault and lack of communication. If you talk about the monthly statements via normal mail, then I don’t check them as I do all the transactions on the internet.

Now my concern is that I did make two transaction last month which were very big one, one was the Air Deccan and the other was Dell Computers India Pvt. Limited. I had a choice from other banks which were providing me a very good cash back about Rs. 1000.00 against the dell transaction and Rs. 500.00 against the air Deccan, but I did not opted for the same and said that ICICI bank is going to offer me 2% cash back at least on the same. But to my surprise, you neither offered me any cash back and the rewards points was so bad, that one cannot imagine. I was not expecting this thing from you, that you are going to withdraw this offer without informing to the customers. This is not at all my fault, this is all your fault that you never informed this to me via e-mail, not via sms and nor any call. Else you people keep on sending thousands of messages and all that stuff to me.

So please tell me who is at all effected, ICICI bank? I am sure and I have make up my mind not to use the ICICI bank card in future for even a single transaction. You will be very soon listening from me to close this ICICI bank credit card and I am going to publish it on the intranet site of my office, so that all 30,000 people in HCL Family should see it and never use ICICI bank Credit card again. This is the worst experience any bank has shown...

Icici Bank is worst bank

Why hcl provinding only icici accounts to employees?

they try to get the feedbank from employees on banks and thenonly they know which bank is better.

here ICICI bank imposing transaction declain charges on every customer.

its around 28 rupees for every transaction decline.

if we try 4 times to withdraw, they cahrges 112 rs for the same transcatcion.

if any one ask this, they told we cant do anything .we cant give back.

Some times they alos debited duplicatestatement charges
55rs unnecessary.

every one keep watch on their staements through internet, then only they can find .
otherwise they loot our money.

Choosing icici Salary account go through HDFC and some otherbanks,

thats better.

Pls take care about icici accounts.

In my case they totally debited 300rs for transaction declain cahrges for two times.

Just anybody have pblm with icici, just go through banks obdusmen and raise a complaint.

thats better to control the cheating of banks.

Dear Sir,

I would like to lodge my complaint in strong words against Mr. Sunil Kumar Verma Team Leader (Mo- [protected]) and Mr. Deeraj Sethi working as City Manager ( Mo. [protected]) both the notorious perosn are working for icici search office at Jhandewalan vedeocon town delhi. Mr. Sunil kumar has printed my telephone no on his company's visiting cards and take rupees for a number of person in the name of bribe to sort out problems like as making international credit card. that matter come to my notice after receiving a phone call from Mr. Uma shanker ( ph- 011-[protected]) he stated that Mr. sunil kumar has taken Rs. 10500/- in the name of making a icici bank's international credit card . A long time has been passed neither the credit card been issued nor he returned my money. besides that he told to me that he has printed my telephone no ([protected])at his company's visiting card. I brought that matter in the notice of Mr. Dheerah deth (City Manager Icici Home search ) office at vedeocon tower delhi but he refused to here my complaint.

it is my request to you please look in to the matter and take hard and strong action against mr Sunil Kumar and MR.Dheerah sethi

After reading all of your experiences I notice that its not only me who is having the trouble with this Bank. They make false promises and on top of that they are scared to logde a compliant in the Customer Service cell. I tried to open a Demat Account with this stupid Bank since October-2007 and every time they reject the form stating that one of my signature is not matching I have send the form not less that 5 times even spending money form my pocket for the DHL courier but seems they dont like my Name and Signature the response is the Same. More over on top of that they never have the courtesy to explain to their customer that what we have to do in such case. I happen to call their Mumbai Office and the Representative told me that the validity of the Form expires after 3 months.. ITS A NEWS FOR ME ATLEAST... HAHAHA.. I asked them then why it is njot informed to me earlier? He dont have any answer for that.. I think we all Indians should join together and Ban this bank from our country atleast so that poor customers dont get in the Grip of these no reliable substances.

ICICI BANK IS A SORT OF A GROU OF PEOPLE SITTING THERE TO MAKE US FOOL. THERE CUSTOMER CARE IS WORST IN ITS CLASS. UNFORTUNATELY I ,ALSO, HAVE A S/A ([protected]) AS WELL AS DEMAT ACCOUNT WITH THIS WORST BANK . THESE DAYS THE HAVE SUSPENDED MY ACCOUNT DUE TO NON-SUBMISSION OF SOME DOCUMENT WHICH WERE LOOSED BY THIS HIGHLY SECURED BANK DURING MUMBAI FLOOD. THOUGH I SUBMITTED THESE DOCUMENTS THRICE ( BY GOING AT BANK IN KANPUR WHICH IS 125 KM FROM MY PLACE) BUT ACCOUNT STILL SUSPENDED, DISPLAYING THE SAME MESSAGE. I SEND SEVERAL MAILS TO IT'S OFFICIAL BUT OF NO RESULT. NOW I AM FEDUP OF THIS BANK AND I NEVER WOULD LIKE TO RECOMEND ANY ONE TO GO WITH THESE BLOOD SUCKERS. EVEN I AM THINKING TO SAY THEM GOOD-BYE. I have a credit card of ICICI Bank . card no. is [protected] xxxx xxxx. When I was applying for the card, it was clarified the ICICI bank personal - card division that there is the offer of cash back of rs. 250/- on purchase made within a period of 30 days. Till now the offer is continuing, that appears from the advt. in the web. But I don't understand why the credit card statement has been sent to me, asking me to pay off the amount of rs. 225/- (The amount of purchase made by me within 30 days ). I fail to understand, why this type of things happens, & people in general misguided. I have received the statement & require to pay the amount of Rs. 225/- purchased within a period of 30 days.

I applied for a Demat Account from Hyderabad Habsiguda Branch. The irony starts as follows:

1. no person in habsiguda branch knows about Demat Services.
2. no person in habsiguda branch speaks English!
3. it took total 6 months to get an account opened
4. they are not aware of the charges , fees, formalities.

ICICI bank is only keen in making customers and recruiting people. they are not interested in customer satisfaction or employee training which is clearly reflected from the lack of kn knowledge of the employees.

Moreover bank is charging too much as brokerage whereas other services are offering at a much cheaper rates.

ICICI is a big cheat and keen in exploiting the customers as well as harassing them. Personal interaction is worse than any government bank.

ICICI Bank customer harassment!

My settlement was done in july 2005, verbally by the credit card division executives. Immediately i paid 20% of the settled amount. But till today bank has not posted me my settlement letter. Rather they are sending every month statement bill putting all the penalties.

I have also the agreed settled amount in many installments. But the bank is telling that no settlement was done, & i have to pay full amount. Now bank has given me notice & making rough phone calls. On 14 march ms. Neha (+[protected]) talked to me in a very vulgar way on my mobile.

I think icici credit card division is totally not responding to customer needs. I am surprised how they are growing.

I have been an ICICI customer since August 2007, when I signed up for a Personal Loan.

I have encountered inadequacy of service which I had not previously considered possible, as well as ignorance and stupidity of monolithic proportions. Please allow me to provide specific details, so that you can either pursue your professional prerogative, and seek to rectify these difficulties - or more likely (I suspect) so that you can have some entertaining reading material as you while away the working day smoking B&H and drinking vendor-coffee on the bog in your office.

My initial query was cancelled without warning or notice, resulting in my spending an entire Saturday sitting on my fat ### waiting to reach you. I spent a further 57 minutes listening to your infuriating hold music, and the even more annoying Scottish robot woman telling me to look at your helpful website... how? I alleviated the boredom to some small degree by playing with my testi*les for a few minutes - an activity at which you are no-doubt both familiar and highly adept.

I am still waiting for my information. I have made 9 telephone calls on my mobile to your no-help line this week, and have been unhelpfully transferred to a variety of disinterested individuals, who are it seems also highly skilled bollock jugglers.

I have been informed that a telephone line is available (and someone will call me back), that no telephone line is available (and someone will call me back), that I will be transferred to someone who knows whether or not a telephone line is available (and then been cut off), that I will be transferred to someone who knows whether or not a telephone line is available (and then been redirected to an answer machine informing me that your office is closed), that I will be transferred to someone who knows whether or not a telephone line is available (and then been redirected to the irritating Scottish robot woman... and several other variations on this theme.

Doubtless you are no-longer reading this letter, as you have at least a thousand other dissatisfied customers to ignore, and also another one of those crucially important testicle-moments to attend to. Frankly I don't care; it's far more satisfying as a customer to voice my frustrations in print than to shout them at your unending hold music. Forgive me, therefore, if I continue.

I thought HUTCH were [censored], that they had attained the holy piss-pot of god-awful customer relations, that no-one, anywhere, ever, could be more disinterested, less helpful or more obstructive to delivering service to their customers. That's why I chose ICICI, and because, well, there isn't anyone else is there?

How surprised I therefore was, when I discovered to my considerable dissatisfaction and disappointment what a useless shower of ### you truly are. You are sputum-filled pieces of distended rectum - incompetents of the highest order. HUTCH - wankers though they are - shine like brilliant beacons of success, in the filthy puss-filled mire of your seemingly limitless inadequacy.

Well don't worry their loan department is worse than the Credit card department. No one will give you an answer. If you go to the Bank[Jayanagar 9th Block Bangalore ] the lady in charge of loans will only help you if you want a loan but for any other queries she will ask you to call Customer services.
They are no good either cause they just want finish their call.

Therefore I WILL NEVER DEAL WITH ICICI EVER AGAIN.

I have a car loan # LADEL0001168845 for which I paid regular payments for 59 months and for one month payment was not taken from my bank account or it might have bounched. I kept extra money in my account for them to take it again. Now I came to know for amount of 5382 I am being charged 4112 as penalty for something I am not ever aware of. I had money sitting in my bank account but it was not taken. I am very frustrated with kind of charges being put on my account.

I did not get any email and nor any notice. This is really on part of bank to treat good customer like this.

valid from 05/00 to 05/07 new card I have received latest card which card I have is not valid Receiving the monthally bills regularly I put the cheque on 7th August in the sky box at petrol pump opposite Siddhi Vinayak at Prabhadevi but that is not reflected in subsequent bills and I was charged Rs.350/- as late fee charges as such no body has proofs that the cheque is dropped in the drop box so without my mistake I am fined I want justice

ICICI Bank auto debit without intimation

I have heard from many but when I personally get experienced I am really shocked..! yes, I am talking about ICICI credit cards. There are lots of hidden charges, interest rates, and other fess, which they dont tell us before getting the card. I was forced to take the card from the ICICI credit card executive. When I used that card I got a call from the customer service from Mubai stating that my purchase will be converted to EMI and interest rate is very low as 0.8%, that was a Dewali offer. I agreed for that adn my monthly EMI was Rs. 1650/- but later after two months it went to 2000, then later 4000, when I asked there was no proper response from them and I said I wont pay any more EMI better preclose my payment. I ready to pay the remaining amount, but the manager was so cruel that he imposed all the fines and tax that my actually balance was only 8,000 odd but he asked me to pay 14,000/- I said I cant pay that amount and I didnt pay any more EMI. That amount multiplied after 7 months and now the outstanding shows Rs. 35,000/-. Can you imagine? My actual credit limit was Rs. 21,000/-. The people who are willing to pay promptly they feel its waste to continue with ICICI. The service is very poor. I had Rs. 8700/- in my account and I had applied for personal loan in CITI finance and the amount was sanctioned and was credited in my account. The amount was Rs. 17,650/-, which I kept for my parents medical allowance. Before I could take teh amount, my balance was zero '0' Rs.17650 + Rs.8700/- was auto debited from my account. Do they have hearts? Why do people like us from middle class apply for loans. ICICI bank didnt have a courtesy to inform or ask before autodebiting. They took as if its their own money. This has to be taken as an serious issue.

They also send me an ICICI lombard insurance which I didnt apply for and asked to cancel, they to agreed but no steps taken instead my amount was debited each and every time.
I don't no why this is happening. Without my consent how they have deducted and charged from my credit card.

I wrote several letters and emails to them, but i think, if this is the way to run ICICI bank credit card division than this is one of worse experience i have. I also emailed to ICICI customer care regarding the same and urge them to stop the credit card from immediate effect.

Its not great to grow big but WHAT MATTERS IS to show consumers that they really mean to service in spite of growing big. I only hope ICICI wakes up sometime to deliver service PROMISED to people for them to really rely on their motto " hum hein na.."

WILL I GET MY MONEY BACK? OR IT SHOULD BE CONSIDERED AS THEFT?

Even I experienced the same problem.
Even though I payed my creditcard bill by Cash at the counter, they charged me this auto debit amount .
Why do they care about the money I have in my account if I am able to pay their bill?

ICICI group is a gathering of inefficiencies and false promises. I am also a sufferer of their banking and demand accounts. Luckily I have not received my credit card even after one month of applying!

I totally agree with you. I had a credit card due of 20,000 but I paid the minimum amount due on the last date online but the bank auto debited the entire amount from my salary account which I have saved for my sister's marriage. The customer care didnt gave any satisfactory answer for two days as the money was debited from my savings account but was not reflected in the credit card account.

Then they said that auto debit facility is by default on and its companies policy not to tel this to the customer and that is why they have debited the money.

Even after paying 1000 as minimum payment they debited the entire amount from my account. I think the bank is just to make money without giving a damn what happens to the customer.

Bank must make the customer aware of the auto debit facility.

ICICI Bank icici lombard executives from chennai are disturbing me

ICICI Lombard executives from Chennai are disturbing me in all ways, recently I received 5 to 6 calls from ICICI Lombard executives, they where telling only one thing that Mumbai credit Card office has been selected me as the privileged customer and I am going to get 20 laks of General Insurance and 25 Laks of Accident policy or some insurance free of cost. All the time when they used to call me I used to tell them only one thing, I am not interested. Now the situation came that without my permission they have credit Rs. 5266 from my credit card. I have filed the complaint to the customer care and blocked the amount.

I would like you to answer me one thing, "How can ICICI Lombard can access my credit card without my permission?" and How can ICICI Credit people can credit Rs. 5266/- for ICICI Lombard without my permission?

I agree with you guys.. ICICI Bank are the real ###ing bloody ###. I received a call from lombard and got an healthcare policy. A month later i requested the customer care to canel the policy for which i wasnt interested to continue, they had sent me a cancellation letter and with the number syaing all transactions closed. But, still i am receiving call from the bloody ICICI ###ing ### to pay the oustanding amount for the policy. They are real ###...If anyone knows the route to keep full stop from these ###, please let me know.

Hai, nearly 2 months back i get an health policy from icici lombord but after that i am not interested to continue a policy, . so i informed to the customer care to cancel the policy but that person told me to informed about the cancellation to the persons who are in the cancellation department and they informed me a toll free number to call. After that when i tried the cancellation departement they asked me a policy number but that person in the policy department didn't informed me any policy number so again i called to that icici lombord policy departement and i asked my policy number but they not responsed about that. They not informed me any policy number still now but they take approximately 250rs from my credit card, . Now what can i do. when i called to cancellation department they told me they couldn't get my details in the system. i have the credit card in icici more than 4 years but they informed me they dont have any details about me in their system. After that they accept my complaint and they gave me a cancellation request number and informed me that they will cancell the policy within 11 working days but toady its take more than 11 days but still they not canncelled the policy... that cancellation request number is 3100822. Now i want to cancel my policy.. no body can response me in the icici lombord department... they really cheat the customers. Lets tell me how can i cancel the policy...

hi, i have same problem, but i am not to understand if i have icici credit card then why icici lombard can issue the policy,
and the big commody is this, the policy is get created on some unknown person, whom i dont know, when i request to cancel it they cancel it and refund the money in my credit card... but soon after 5 day they took entire 2 yr policy money at once, like 24*410 ...
and i am doing conversation with then they are not replying about taken money.
they are just moving me here and there.

and right now i am out of india so i am not able to call then like 30-50 minute on call, like hold and other...

See how bad the attitude of ICICI... ICICI is becoming the POOR bank... ALL THE FRAUDS ARE WORKING IN ICICI

Hi, I am Saravanan D - Working in TCS, Chennai. I m using the ICICI AMERICAN EXPRESS credit card. On August 25-2008 I got a SMS like, I have made a transaction of 11, 203 Rs. at ICICI LOMBORD.

But, I havent done any transaction. I just want to file a case against ICICI LOMBORD. My Online credit card account is also now showing the details for the same transaction.

Now.. i dont want to continue in ICICI.. I m going to close my savings account in ICICI and planned to dispose all the ICICI Credit Cards...

I will initmate this to all the TCS Employees in and around Chennai. I contacted the ICICI Lombard person Balakrishnan [protected]), he is telling me that my voice was recorded during the call by their executive. He is asking me to come in person to their office.

I also faced the same problem just yesterday, ICICI Executive Named Rani called me and explained me about the policy and at the conclusion i told them that i am not intresting in this policy, she told me very rudely that at first you accepted so we are holding 13500/- from my creditcard account. here the main matter is i Just applied for credit Card and yet I have not received and i dont know the Number of that, she told me the number and insisted me to told as i have credit card with me, what is the drama.

How to control them, how can we take action on them, to whom we had to complaint.

It is very natural that you guys got into this trouble. ICICI has this regular way of cheating their customers. These ICICI people are real ###. Their Mumbai Office lured me into Credit card, and the lombard (Chennai) people soon started nagging me. They told that I need only to pay just INR 401/- per month for Health card, to which I agreed. They never told me it would be debited as a lump some amount for two years! Then they debited two years' (24X 401/-) rupees from my ICICI credit card (even before the Credit card was delivered to me). Damn..!

Its almost two months they sent me the credit card, but I have never received it. They just have a customer care number that works by Voice Response System.

ICICI Bank dispute of closing current account!

We at ISE Cards India Limited is opened a current account at ICICI Bank Limited, Hazratganj Branch, Lucknow India since many years. We have opened account with the request of a branch manager mr. shahnawaz, he was told that time that after three month ICICI Gomti Nagar branch will open than automatically your account will be transfered, many years has been gone, several personal request and many representatives came and taken our request and requested us to send us a fax, which we sent on dated. 1st march-2005, requested again to transfer it or closed down our account, but they are sending statement of account regularly and with add on charges, ICICI bank is cheating us and moral harassment.

ICICI Bank wrong late fee charges

I have a salary account with ICICI Bank. I would like to inform that my salary or funds transfer on the 7th or 8th day of every month and requisition of the same is sent by our company on 5th or 6th day of the month.

Also, there are some ECS transactions which held through my salary account on the 7th, 8th or 9th day of the month.

In Feb 2007, our company sent salary transfer request to bank on 6th Feb, 2007 as it normally does. But due to some technical problems in banks system the funds could not be transferred by the morning of Feb 08, 2007. I had been checking my funds transfer status during whole night of Feb 07 in the office.

On Feb 11, when I checked my account statement on net I found there were to penalties of Rs. 224/- due to ECS return as the funds were not transferred by the morning of Feb 08.

I mean to say the bank had funds transfer request with it but they did not transfer it due to system error or whatever, they had ECS transaction request also, but they preferred ESC transaction first.

Due to insufficient funds they levied ESC return charges to my account that too without my information (please note this is a salary account with a so called largest pvt bank in India).

If the funds transfer request was pending with them and they were not able to transfer funds due to their system error they can not levy charges on ECS return. Because it's their fault.

I hope my complaint will be listened by authorities.

ICICI Bank false assurance of complimentary benefit!

I had purchased ICICI Lombard Car Insurance thru their Andheri; Mumbai (India) office in December'06 and had paid Rs.16250.00 as annual premium. On buying this policy from ICICI Lombard, I was assured of a complimentary Free Redemption Coupons of 3M of worth Rs.12000.00 and was told by ICICI Lombard's sales executive - Ms. Swati, that on availing the services, i don't have to pay any charges at all.

I was around to see that when I received the coupons (which they didn't deliver until 3 reminders were given); they were at 50% redemption only and NOT 100% redemption! When i took up this matter with Ms. Swati and her senior female officers; they flatly refused that such false commitment was given by Ms. Swati!

since there is no written assurance from her, now she & her colleagues are taking undue advantage and are jeopardizing my benefit of 100% redeeming the 3M coupons!

Two days back, when i told them that i wish to cancel the policy now due to this episode; I was told by Ms. Simaran that she will refund entire amount and today i.e. after 2 days, her senior Ms. Supriya is singing a different song by saying that if the policy is canceled; ICICI Lombard will deduct a sum of Rs.3000.00 as penalty!

This is an absolute breach of trust.

I agree with u that ICICI Lombard is a cheater company that has no regard for customer issues.

I purchased a policy online and I filed a claim after wards for my vehicle. For 2 months now their surveyors and customer care people are harrassing me by saying that my policy is not valid or that my policy has been bought online so it is not appearing on their system.
I will advise all to NEVER buy any policy from them and atleast not ONLINE.

ICICI Bank malpractice!

ICICI bank without my knowledge and for no reason debited Rs 19000/- and no one is responding to my complaint.

Worst Bank to bank with... Experienced by most of the customers!

Besides the malpractices... the bank will force you maintain a 'said minimum balance' - quoting which they would deduct huge sums every quarter... to explain ( FACTUAL DATA - as it stand now - February 2007 ) - if you keep Rs 4999 in your account ( ie..., less than Rs 5000 , the said minimum balance ) and leave it for 1 year - they would deduct Rs 842 per three months - so by the end of 1 year your 4999 would have got reduced to about 1500 and by 18 months - your account would show negative balance ----- Its a fact which one experiences post opening the account with ICICI Bank...

So here is a bank where your money does not grow but rather diminishes over time. I am putting this on blog / sites for others to read and be cautious while dealing with this ICICI Bank... The ads shown on television are just an eye wash and they do not mean any such thing as "Hum Hain Na"... Wish they soon become "Hum Thae Na"

In nutshell -

1. ICICI bank is the worst bank to bank with
2. ICICI bank has pathetic customer service and
3. They have enough and more "tricky fine prints in their documentation " - which by design would never be told / explained to the customers - and which are used to fool customers and make easy money..

You are right ICICI bank is the worst bank and customer service is more worst than the bank. I was in UAE and i lost my debit card and for 15 days these customer care exec. gave me information in installments and on 20th day i recieved the card. I had to borrow money and could get to eat. CC execs kept on toggeling some said yes some said no but no exact information.Disgusting.No one should ever get an account with this so call bank.

Have been facing lot of problem with SO CALLED ‘HUM HAIN NAA: PROBLEM create karne ke liye’ bank for last 4-5 years. This is one of the WORST Bank in India as far as customer’s faith is concerned. I can list most of the problems I faced but the list is long, so not including each one here.

How many of know that ICICI & HDFC (two) bank collected Rupees 150 Crore penalty/fine from customers just not to maintaining the minimum average quarterly balance. This tells a good example of how these banks particularly ICICI cheat customer.

On Jan-07-2007, Supreme Court of India issued warning to ICICI for not following legal procedure to recover loan.

In past few months 2-3 person died in ICICI premise. Those people were brutally harassed/killed by ICICI recovery agents.

1. Have you filed a police complaint?

2. Do you want to harass icici bank's few managers and have a bit of time and a little money to spend then file a private criminal complaint, else if you have money to spend & no time ask the police to do it after filing the complaint.

3. Go through the 4 step complaints process as on the icici website and inform the Banking Ombudsman.

If you have a huge complaint, then attach it to a shorter, crisper one as it will be read faster.

Teach these guys a lesson the right way, screaming is one of them, not enough though.

ICICI Bank icici bank cheating customers

I have Opened my ICICI Bank Account / DMAT Account with ICICI Bank and ICICI Direct Account vide Form No. [protected] and Opened same time and given same instruction for all the accounts i.e., I have opted for that all statements etc will be sent to my domestic address and through email and yearly charges for the same is Rs. 450/-. But wrongly I have received one invoice for high amount for my DMAT Account No IN302902-[protected] and for the wrong Invoicing I have informed ICICI Bank immediately on receipt of Invoice but more than two months has passed and writing several emails to ICICI Bank but they did not responded nor credited my account with the wrong charges deducted. Beware of ICICI Bank Limited!

I have an ICICI demat account from 2003. I had changed jobs twice from then and during my last shift had forgotten to change the address. While transacting online i had forgotten my password as it needs to be changed every 15 days and so made a request for new password. A week later i realized the password had gone to the old address and returned. I subsequently went to the ICICI branch in Koramangala and put in a request for change of address with documents. After 15 days and on repeated follow up i was informed that the request MAY have been rejected! I again gave another request for change of address. The funny part is that the S/B account attached to the demat account has the new address. I was asked to provide identity proof. My PAN card has my name as L.G. MURLI. This was the same PAN card given to ICICI for demat account opening. The demat account name is Latteri Gopalan Murali. Just an expansion of my initials. Also since the PAN card was applied and procured in the north my name; murali' was spelled as 'Murli'.

Now ICICI says they cannot accept this as i.d. proof. What do i do to get my account unlocked? In the meantime i am unable to trade for the last one month and have suffered financial losses!

Ya chandra you are correct..now a days icici is not caring about customers..because now they entered into a stage where there is no fear about the future of icici.

For me also they deducted the money due to the non-ICICI atm transaction failure. And now it takes 11 days to get the money back...Will see shall i get or not...i have to sit with crossing fingers.

ICICI Bank misleading information

On continuous follow-up of ICICI Bank I have recently gone in for two balance transfers of Rs.33,000 and Rs.22,000 for paying off outstandings against two of my citibank credit cards.

I was assured by the customer service representative that the amount will not attract any interest for 3 months and there will not be any processing fees.

To my surprise, I find that ICICI has charged Rs.500 and Rs.440 - Total Rs.940 as processing fees. On contacting customer service, I find that they are not able to help and refuse to take any corrective action. Stay away from ICICI Bank!

ICICI Bank scamming usa nri customers!

I visited the Bund Garden branch, of the ICICI Bank in Pune to open an account as an NRI needing a Credit Card. The information that is given is only half true and you only discover this after you have parted with your hard earned dollars.

You lose about 8% in the exchange rate as soon as you open the account, considering the best they can offer is about 5.33% per year you have already lost 1 1/2 years interest in a couple of seconds. The minimum amount to open the account is $400. Then you find out that you as an NRI from USA (other country NRI's are exempt)can only invest your account money in Mutual Funds of their choice, with a recurring deposit of Rs.100,000(about $2500)per year for 3 years. You have no say in the matter if their Mutual Fund goes South and you begin losing your Principal, you would still be forced to keep paying $2500 per year for 2 more years. THERE BROCHURE DOES NOT MENTION THIS FACT AT ALL AND IS FRAUDULENT AND MISREPRESENTATIVE OF THE TRUTH. They should be sued on just this point alone.

They have yet another clever scheme/scam where you are led to believe that the funds in the above account can be put in a "Special" High Interest (8.5%)earning vehicle only to learn that you would have to add another $9600 to the above account to avail of this scam (always losing a "measly" 8% in the exchange rate of course).

Now, after all this as if this is not enough already, to get a Credit Card you have to open another Fixed Deposit (CD) account with a minimum balance of Rs.100,000. Within 5 minutes of learning the facts I asked that my application for opening the account be canceled and that my amount be returned to me. NO WAY JOSE! You are now the victim of the ICICI System. You will now have to wait a week so that the account can be ACTIVATED before you can DE-ACTIVATE it.

Can you believe this cr*p!

NRIs in the USA you don't know how good you have it in the US. The service here SUCKS! and the ###s who run this business here try to make you feel that they are doing you, the CUSTOMER, a favor. Things have not improved here in this part of the world no matter what they say in the News. This attitude, the bureaucracy and red tape along with the corruption will keep India in a rut long after all the other developing countries in Asia have left us in their dust.

WAKE UP INDIA!

The officers(?) who subjected me to this unforgettable experience were Ms.Arti and one other who gave me a card bearing the name Yatin Gupta, Branch Manager.

I am ICICI bank credit card holder. Because of some problems i was not able to pay my dues and due to which the bank blocked my money from my savings account, later on i made the payment by cash, and still that blocked money was deducted from my account, now for the return of the money i have called four times to the customer care service number [protected],
1st reply was call in the evening server is down.
2nd reply was call after 1hour server is down.
3rd reply was call in the daytime because the technical support team works in daytime.
4th reply was call on monday server is still down.
Well i m just waiting for my PF to come in my account, after that i will break all the connections with ICICI bank...

I would suggest ICICI to either start taking action on the complaints mention above or close this service. Further Mr. Branch Manager, I would be better if you resign from your post and join some small co-operative bank. you are not worth being part of such a reputed bank of India. Mr. Manager, please go and learn some better banking, and please stop talking in future tense. Groom your team with more fundamental banking concept than camouflaging. Teach them banking and not cheating. Your team should available with all the updates. Please respect your customer.
It is easy to make a customer, it is even more easy to loose your customer, but please note it is very hard to maintain your customer. Try maintaining your customer.

since two months i did not get the statement of transactions. I am regularly sending or transfering the money to icici bank account in india but i did not receive statements.i had received security alert notice about netbanking but i have not operated netbanking yet.please let me knowwhat is the reason that the bank is not sending the statements.

It wasn't credited to his account till 08:00 Am today. Please let us know the status whether it has been deposited in account or not and why it has been delayed.

ICICI Bank forged signature

The UBP form wasn't filled by me and some ICICI executive has done forged signature of mine on the form. I am not sure how did he get my LIC Policy Number. I have written a mail to ICICI bank, but there is no reply so far. Never trust ICICI Bank!

I transferred over $20,000 Can. from ING to ICICI and I knew when it actually left ING. Assuming a 2 day electronic lag I knew when it should have arrived at ICICI. They showed it as arriving over a month later. Repeated calling, waiting on hold listening to their inane self promotion and squelching music, over and over. First they stick to their arrival date, then they back date a little and add a little money to my account. I just got off the phone and told them I will never call them again and they better have the correct amount in my account this week. I will transfer it out, never do business with them again, and tell everyone I know about their idiocy...or if they continue on with their inability to do simple math, I will get a Canadian News team's interest.

ICICI Bank delay of policy

I bought Tata Indica from Deepti Gupta and got the same registered in my wife's name Shailaja Rallapalli. The motor insurance lapses on 21st December 2006. Hence i went to the Icici Lombard office at Punjagutta(Hyderabad,india) on 18th December 2006. Spoke to Mr Siddharth(Manager), gave him the new RC copy on my wife's name,filled an application form to transfer the insurance on to my wife's name, made the payment of Rs 10100 through my HDFC credit card. Iwas promised that the insurance will be sent to my address in 2 days. I waited for 10 days and contacted Mr Siddharth on [protected]. Iwas informed that it was given to the agent Mr Ramesh. Th agent visited my place on 26th December and handed the cover note on my wife's name. After waiting for another 6 days i contacted the agent. I was informed that the policy was issued in the name of the old owner Ms Deepti Gupta. I called the help line and raised a complaint with request # [protected] and was informed that the policy is still in the name of Ms Deepti Gupta. I called up Mr Siddharth who claimed that it is impossible that the policy is still in the name of Deepti Gupta because he already made necessary corrections. Later i was informed by Mr Siddharth that the policy is in the name of Ms Deepti Gupta because the file with transfer application and RC was sent to Mumbai office and the operations department lost it/misplaced it. An agent was sent to my place and i gave 2 more copies of the RC to the agent clearly informing if one is lost the other will again help in speedy delivery of my policy. I again contacted the agent Mr Ramesh, Mr Siddharth and the help line regarding the policy on 10th January 07. Help line associate asked me to get in touch with the local branch. The agent asked me to wait for 1 more day. Mr Siddharth calld me to inform that he is dispatching the policy through DHL couriers on 11th January 07 and asked me to provide another RC copy for Auditing. I was very sure that the policy was not dispatched and asked Mr Siddharth to provide that airway bill # and the couriers telephone number, which Mr Siddharth was reluctant to do so. Later he agreed that he lied regarding the dispatch of the policy. So after paying the amount on 18th december 2006, i am still waiting for my policy even on 12th january. If the concerned authorities are checking this, contact me to hear some words from me.

ICICI Bank home loan - false promises, unprofessional attitude

Here is the interesting story.

- I applied for housing loan (Fixed interest rate) and got an approval for 7.75% (Year 2004). Bank asked me to send the documents that I did. ICICI guy delayed sending the form (that I was suppose to fill for disbursement).
- Bank said as there is already 31 days between approval and disbursal so you need to renegotiate the loan. New interest rate: 8.25%.
- I got the first disbursal (against construction) on 8.25%
- time came for second disbursal and I wanted an additional loan for 2 lacs. I asked the marketing guy whether you can increase the amount. He said yes he can and would be approved on the same interest rate (8.25%)
- Forget the additional amount when I got the disbursement of second installment (Remember fixed interest rate and not the floating); I got a letter from ICICI that new amount is disbursed at 9.5%
- When I called Marketing Guy; he passed my call to their operations guy and he just refused that Fixed rates are on fixed interest rate and did show any inclination of honoring commitment given by his marketing guy.
- My Experience: Last time I tried Corporation bank for my Car loan. Considering my experience I can safely say; Public sector banks are most under rated banks and are not that bad as we think. Private banks: I am not sure about others but ICICI - Sucks- Most aggressive, unreliable, no-commitment bank in India. Their "Hum Hain Na" advertising campaign looks joke to me.
- My Resolution: Close all the relationship I have with ICICI - ASAP.

I availed Rs.7.2 lacs home loan from ICICI during 2005 on fixed interest worked out as 8.16%. My Loan agreement No. is LBBNG00000696229. I requested ICICI for the statement of EMI details for Income Tax purpose. I came to know that ICICI had already sent the statement of final income tax for the financial year and provisional income tax statement for the year [protected]. But, in my case nothing has been sent to me and i am still looking forward for the statement.

Sub: Dubious motives in retail banking

Beware when applying for loans from ICICI Bank. The sales agents do not tell you that the monthly debit cycle will hit your account on the 1st of the month. More often than not as in 99% private companies, the salaries are credited only after the 1st. So not only does ICICI make money on cheque bounce backs, but also ensure they spoil your credit history. If you take this issue up with them, the bank certainly has its pet lawyers and solicitors who promptly send you a court notice forcing you to pay up immediately.

Pathetic- Mr Kamath talks about a global corporation but cant fix these bugs in the home system.

I had taken loan of Rs 8 lac in june 2002. After 2 years additional amount of Rs 6241 added in principal amount. Till today matter is not resolved. All emi i had paid no late fee or late payment or cheque bounced.

I applied for Housing loan.They have taken processing fees without accessing whether they can finance the identified property & they promised that they will finance that.

But at the end of the time they have decided that they will not finanace & even they never intimated me & kept me in dark. When I contacted them they simply told me that they will not finance & reason was not satisfactory.

Consequences : I lost my processing fees of Rs 5612 & the advance payment that i paid in advance to purchase it.

Apart from that now the loan will cost me .50% on 9 lakh rupees.

Stay away from ICICI Bank!

ICICI Bank unprofessional approach delayed property acquisition

I have applied for a home loan through ICICI Bank during Nov'06. I was contacted by one Mr.subramanian for processing my application (he's working for I power - one of ICICI's franchise). He took all the documents including a cheque for a sum of Rs.4590/- towards further processing. And he gave a sanction letter for Rs.8 Lac after 15 day's of receipt of the same.

And the scrutinizing work progressed for more than 45 days and also I was confirmed of the registration process. One fine morning, a week ago I got a call from Mr. SasiKumar (who introduced himself as Credit Manger) with regard to some clarification. I thought it was a final call before registration. To my surprise, that person was opening my file for the first time and asking for all clarification from beginning. Then, he wanted a Title Document for my identified property for 13 years, which was not available. I told him that, then he immediately replied (furiously) me that it is very difficult to process my application further. (I really do not want to narrate the way he spoke to me..it was really embracing for any human).

Having waited for more than 45 days, I got a worst treatment from your bank official saying all this junk. If it was intimated to me much earlier, I.e preliminary documents required for applying loan, I would not have come across all this hurdles. Now, I am running short of time, as I have given only 45 days of time to acquire the property, as I have entered an agreement with the landlord by giving an advance.

This is the second harassment I am facing from ICICI Bank after my personal loan issue (Attached for your info.)

Above all, that particular representative took a cash from me for Notarization etc, he's not returned the same. When I ask for the same he's not even responding. And also I was informed that my processing fee cheque will not be returned to me for the simple fact that I got a written sanction letter, which cost for rs. 4590/-.

I am terribly traumatized by all these. So everyone beware of ICICI Home Loan!

This complaint was posted in Jan 2007. And I had similar experience with ICICI bank in Aug 2011. I guess nothing has changed in ICICI. They tell you there is no fee for application processing. And after all document verification, which took 2 months, they are asking me to pay Rs. 33, 000, which is 0.5% of Rs. 60 lac loan amount. But I have not even decided whether to get a loan or not. And if I had decided to buy a property for Rs 30 lacs only, then I still would have paid Rs 33, 000. If you want peace of mind, DON'T GET LOAN FROM ICICI.

Stop writing template reply to all users.

Do something great that you haven't done before.

Try to set your great benchmark - create healthy relationship with costumers. We all can take to you on top but all above complain are just loosing confidence on you. Simple I won't much trust over loan product. And won't apply for any loan and even not suggest to other as well

I am the seller of a property in Bangalore.

All property documents / details had been provided to buyer before loan sanction.

The buyer insisted that he would proceed with agreement only after he got it cleared through legal / technical team in ICICI. Valuation people came on Feb 25th or so. They apparently gave him the go ahead, after which we signed the sale agreement on March 1st.

The buyer has given EMI cheques and everything was supposedly ready for disbursement, with registration scheduled for April 3rd.

Now they are raising an objection due to horizontal deviation, deviation from plan and lack of setbacks

The property in existence for nearly 10 years now

All construction in the area is similar
ICICI Bank had funded the property in 2004 and loan closed only in Jan 2010.

The loan amount approved is about Rs.20 lakhs, when purchase price is Rs.36.9 lakhs. The buyer is contributing almost 46% (Rs.16.9 lakhs). Properties in the area are sellling for Rs.40-50 lakhs. Considering that, the risk to the bank seems low.

My parents have paid an advance for another home in RT Nagar and were supposed to sign the agreement today (25th) and move this weekend (27th and 28th)

I spent almost $750 to get the PoA attested by the Indian Embassy. They asked for several documents at different points of time, but we gave them everything. They even asked for my PAN Card details, saying it was required for disbursement.

After co-operating with them completely, why are they raising this issue now?

The buyer and his wife are both employed in good companies (Fidelity and Infosys) and their down payment is quite high. Its not as if they are going to default on the loan, even if someone raises an objection later on. I am sure they will deal with it and resolve it.

Did it take them ONE MONTH to realize that there are technical deviations?

If deal falls through, who is going to compensate for all the expenses, incurred by me as well as the buyer?

I fully intend to ensure that the buyer takes up this matter in Consumer Court for compensation, since I would be deducting all my expenses + penalty from the advance payment that he has made.

official that within 4-5 days letter will come for handing over original documents . But almost a month is going to be over no letter has come .
Why ICICI is so unreliable when it has to return or pay to others their due? and very efficient to recover or charge money from the customer?
Will anybody listen to my complaint and take quick action before I am forced to go to media?

ICICI is especially famous (!) for making promises of quick processing and collecting cheques for processing fees. These are then encashed before processing even begins...

Recommend that one issue a stop payment on the cheques provided towards and fees and issue fresh ones if the bank keeps to its commitment on time! The bank cannot blame you if the cheques are returned as the commitments are usually not kept from their side. You can always make the payment again on satisfactory receipt of services.

ICICI Bank response time / false promises

Hello all, I would like to express my concern over the very time consuming procedure I have gone through in applying for a Personal Loan from ICICI. I have applied for a loan from ICICI exactly 3 weeks back, the associates who were supposed to collect the documents were pretty fast in sending their people to collect all the documents on the same day of the application. Regarding who were they : I had received a call from ([protected]) Pooja asking if I wanted a loan. Their branch is located in Thane and that is all I know of them. It took them over 2 weeks to tell me that my loan has been approved, Finally they sent a man on 22nd to pick up 4 signed Cheques addressed to (ICICI Personal Loans) and some documents, on asking them when would I receive the loan amount they confidently said Tuesday 26th Dec 2006, I confirmed from the associate if they were confident and they said yes. Based on the commitment I received I gave a commitment to some vendors from where I was supposed to buy some articles and made a down payment.

Tuesday (26th Dec) arrived and the money was not transferred to my account, I called up the number mentioned above and they said that it will happen on Wednesday 27th Dec 2006 for sure. I Confirmed once again and they said 100% it will be transferred by Wednesday 27th Dec.

Wednesday (27th Dec) : The money was still not transferred and I called up the number again, they asked me to wait another day and that’s exactly what I did.

Thursday (28th Dec) : The money was still not transferred into my account and I called them up to inquire on what's the status of the loan because I had made some commitments to a vendor and I was falling short on my commitment. I called up and spoke to a lady who was trying to tell me to wait 2 more days, I was furious and asked to speak to the manager of that branch, she told me that he was busy in a meeting and I offered to wait, but she disconnected my phone. I called up again and they kept on answering and disconnecting my phone, this happened for at least 5 times before I gave up.
I called up the ICICI call centre to report the issue and after bouncing back between many call handlers I spoke to Vasundhra (Ext 4277 on the help line #) she offered to help me out with my issue and started following up with the required individuals. She told me that she will work on this and get the money into my account latest by Friday evening, I agreed and hung up the phone.

Friday (29th Dec) : Vasundhra called me up and requested me to send an email to both you guys as they needed to verify my official email address, which I did mins after speaking to Vasundhra, hoping the money would be transferred at least by Saturday 30th Dec.

Saturday (30th Dec) : The money was still not transferred and I called up the Thane Branch and they told me that I needed to call up the ICICI call centre. When I asked them to provide me with the file # they were not providing me with the file # and disconnected the phone. If I need to call the ICICI call centre they always ask me for a file # which I am not able to provide because I am not being given one.

To Sum it up in Short :

1) This has been the most frustrating journey for me in my entire career.
2) I have no clue about when the money is getting transferred and I have commitments to meet.

Questions : ?
1) Is this the Kind of Customer Service ICICI Bank believes in providing ?
2) Is the process so tedious and long to receive a loan amount ? If yes then why do you guys state quick approvals as a part of your selling criteria ?
3) Am I every going to receive the loan amount ?
4) If not then what is being done with the 4 cheques that I have given ?

I cannot stand this frustration any longer. Either ICICI Bank do what advertise or don’t do it all.

of loan proposal . No reply and document provided . Loan proposal kept in disposed unethically and unintateraly.

Solicit your intervention for sanctioning the Loan proposal.

Dear sir,

i am Omprakash Singh from Ferozepur (Pb), working as Veterinary Doctor in Nestle India Ltd. Moga (Pb).,, i was applied for the personal loan with icici bank in Bhatinda,, in 1st week of Jan. 08, the concern executive (DAS Associates Ferozepur Mr. Deepak Singla: [protected]) said with in one week you can get the loan
, i am also agreed, 15days back that executive called your loan got approval you should give 18 cheque leafs with sign, i have done all the formalities , after nobody didnt responce, i repeatedly contacted concerned executive but he is just passing the time,, now also he said give me one day you will get the money ,, its 15 days over ,, i dont know what icici peoples doing when i get the loan ,, iff its possible or not,, they will return my cheque or not? otherwise please be ready for litigation.

I am strongly agree. I am the current bakra for home loans for this Faltoo and Bakwaas ICICI Bank. Kamath talks about big things... just fooling the people... the way they providing the services and dealing with customers is hopeless... all are useless... 3rd class bank...cheater... thinking to close my a/c... demat a/c of this Faltoo bank... Be cautious with this bank...

Hi,
I have applied for person loan (Rs. 1,00,000) in ICICI Bank 25 days with all the required documents. After 15 days closing of month my loan is not sanctioned because of closing time as per your employee (Mr.Abhinav Tyagi).

After this he committed me your loan is in progress and cheque will deliver to you within 7 days. But this time he is not picking up phone and not giving response to me. My heartly requested don't commit customer to you will get your loan within 15 Days.

ICICI has beautiful advertisements placed at our cost(money they make on our deposits) but the worst service and rude sales people what is the use of them boasting of the Women in the highest postion when the customers in the lowest position.

ICICI bank mission -Best products and worst customer service.
This is what I feel about ICICI. I really hope that this e-mail will do nothing as I have been to many liers in your customer service department. But still I have copied this message and forwarded it to many managers. As a quality head, you should know that you have got a team of liers. Every time we call up- we get a new answer or our phone is disconnected ot transferred to a department where no one is available. So, we get nice music to listen on hold for 10-20 minutes. But no reply. Coming to the point
I have a ICICI salary account and had a pre -approved loan. It has been sanctioned but I still haven't received the money. This is my loan account number LPTNE00011437576. And this is may salary account number [protected]. Each day I call the sales executive or the phone banking, they say that today you will get the moeny. They also specify a time frame and promise me. This has been a head ache for the last week. IT is really disgusting that I only say "That the service is ###in irritational", also say sorry for the same and your agent from application department - Arun R... hangs the call. You can believe whats my condition. What is the use of moeny if I dont get it on time? If any action is not taken against this and I don't get moeny on time, I will cancel all my services with your bank. I will try to post this message on all the forums. This will be forwarded to to all the possible managers.

A loan sanctioned of 50,000/- from ICICI Bank Personal Loan Department by me [protected]. But the Cheque was not get yet. I ask the bank staff he says that he was send the courier. & Courier said that any courier of my name was not receive.

So I want to know that what is going on.

Self azad contacted by one your staff ms. Geetha cell #: [protected], from icici bank personal loan, 5 south bouge road, 1st street, teynampet, chennai 600018. Office number 044-[protected].

Ms. Geetha told me as pre sanctioned loan was sanctioned to me for rs. 4 lakh. And through her I applied for personal loan of rs. 3 lakh before 10 days. Appl# 6070151. Reference number of the personal loan : [protected].

Mr. Dhana sekar cell no: [protected] came and collected blank cheques and documents signed from me.

After that for the last 7 days both their cell number was inactive. I could not get any positive reply from them. I have inquired the call center daily. No supportive information. They used to tell me that the complained were taken and the reply will be given after 2 days. It is very surprise to say that the 2 days never come.

Every time I call the call center personal loan dept they used to say that my loan is sanctioned and don’t know any further information about the status of my application. Even to day on 19th I made a complaint to the call center service# sr15598320.

Who ever they may concern, kindly tell me the status of my personal loan account.
Why no one is giving any proper reply to me. What happened to my blank cheques? What happened to the signed documents without filling anything on it?
Why the icici staffs refused to give any reply?
Why I did not get any reply from the call center.
Why I did not get any reply from the icici bank to which I made a complaint through internet site?
Is there any grievance section to pass my complaint?

To all public at chennai : if any one who get a call from icici bank personal loan dept saying that pre approved loan is sanctioned to you. Pl. Don't feel happy. It may be a fraud or a trap to catch you and collect blank cheques from you. Pl. Be careful to get written letter from the marketing executives for what ever they collect from you. Don't forget to collect their visiting card. Make sure to call the phone number as per the visiting card before giving any cheques. Confirm their officer's name and phone number. Once they leave your place you can not contact any of their superiors. This information from my experience.

I am sampath,I was contacted by one your staff Mr. Balaji Cell #: [protected], from ICICI BANK Personal loan

Mr. Balaji told me that they are offering 14% interest rate for Accenture employees. Through him I applied for personal loan of Rs. 1 Lakh on 22nd december.

Mr. Dinesh cell No: [protected] came and collected Blank cheques and documents signed from me.

After that till today no information was given to me from them. I have called them 100s of times but they never bother to pick up the phone and answer me.

Long back they once picked up my call and told my loan is approved, they are waiting for a mail confirmation from my ABN AMRO bank. I don't know whom to contact and find the real status of my loan.

Who ever they may concern, kindly tell me the status of my personal loan account.

Why no one is giving any proper reply to me. What happened to my blank cheques? What happened to the signed documents without filling anything on it?
Why the icici staffs refused to give any reply?

ICICI bank cheated me in 2007.
I got a call from ICICI bank last year offering me a loan amount of Rs. 1 lakh.

I got the call from Miss Janet from the phone no 080-[protected].

At that time some of my freinds got loan at 14% interest reducing rate.

She offered me Rs. 1 lakh at 15% interest reducing rate.

After a few day, their representative came to me to get the application signed.

There were so many places to sign for me. I started signing the paper and suddenly saw that the rate of interest was written as 19% on the application form. I told him i am not willing to take the loan if it is more than 15% and asked him to return my papers (company id card xerox, address proof and so on)

He said he will call back and went . Next day, Miss Janet again called me that the rate of interest was changed. I told her to return my papers. She called me again and offered me at 17%. i told her i dont want any loan and requested her to return my papers. She again called me and offered me at 15%. I told her what about the application form where the rate of interest is written as 19%. I told her to bring an new application form. She said it would be taken care of and it would be changed to 15%. I had not even signed at all the required locations of the application form. They didnt even bother to give me the acknowlegement reciept of the application form. The acknowledgement slip should have been torn from the application form and given to me.

I never thought that ICICI would cheat me as I thought ICICI was a big brand.
They even didnt bother to give me my loan ID and a customer copy of the aggrement or application form the reason being that I would come to know that they were actually charging me at 19% instead of 15%.
They deducted the EMIs from my bank account every month automatically.

In may 2008, I happend to call the bank to enquire how many more EMIs I needed to pay.
Just by chance, I asked to reconfirm what the interest rate was. The customer care executive shocked me by telling that it was 19%. Since that day I have been calling them to reduce the amount and have spent a lot on my mobile bill. They gave me my Loan ID (LPNG00009952768) and sent me a xerox copy of the Application form. In the application form they had crossed 19% and changed to 17%. Again 17% was crossed and changed back to 19% again. In the space for EMI aslo they crossed and and changed the EMI amount. They refused to entertain me by saying that my loan was arranged by Agent chosen by ICICI and they have severed ties with the agent. I objected to that by saying that if they had authourised the agent to be their partner and the agent commits fraud, ICICI is responsible. At the time of giving the loan, they only said that they were from ICICI. Evevn now the acknowledgement slip of the application form is blank and i have the xerox copy which they sent to me last month.

They now say that my signatures are there and they cannot change the rate to 15%. There is a signature near the area where 19% was changed to 17% and again changed back to 19%. I told them that the signature was not mine. They said they cannot change the interest rate under any circumstances. I told them I would file a case against the bank. Then aslo they said they wont change the interest rate.

Not even in my wildest dreams, I never thought that ICICI would go so low and cheat their customers.

It not only about money now. I want to teach them a lesson.

Please give me any advice what steps I should take. Sould I consult a lawyer and report to media .

This has reference to our meeting (Dated April 10, 2008) regarding a personal loan (Ref # [protected]) for a sum of Rs. 50, 000/-, which is taking care by your sales manager Mr. Shakeb Iftikhar. I would like to thank you for debiting the amount in my ICICI Salary saving accout bearing # [protected], however I would further like to inform you that you have sanctioned a loan for Rs. 1, 20, 000/- (instead of Rs. 50, 000/-) and transferred the amount Rs. 1, 17, 369/- after deduction of Service charges & other taxes.

As per our discussion, you have confirmed that I can use a sum of Rs.50, 000/- minus service charges & other taxes (approx Rs. 49, 000/-) and you will reverse the balance excess amount (approx Rs. 68, 000/-).

Could you please confirm the exact amount of Instalment and the amount which I can use out of Rs. 1, 17, 369/-.

Shakeb: Please confirm the process suggested by Mr. Shyam and I would like to request you to please resolve the above matter within 1 or 2 days, as this has already been delayed more than 15 days.

Please forward this e-mail to Shakeb in case he has not received the same.

ICICI Bank harassment and inconvenience caused by icici bank!

I have a savings account with Mira Road Branch. My father who passed away on 4th Feb 2001, possessed a credit card of ICICI Bank. On 15-Dec-2006 (approximately 6 years after my father's death) my above account account was debited by Rs. 18,934.

When I contacted ICICI Bank helpline on 15-Dec-2006, savings bank account department asked me to contact credit card department. Credit card department told me that the payment wasn’t reflected in the credit card account, and I was asked to contact them next day.

I called ICICI bank helpline again on 16-Dec-2006 and spoke to a Customer Service Manager Mr Ketan Raul. Ketan gave me phone numbers of Collection Department managers and asked me to contact them (numbers given to me were: 022-[protected] of Bhavin Parekh and 022-[protected] of Pavan Laddha).

After continuously trying the numbers of collection team for two hours after speaking to Ketan Raul (9:30 - 11:30), I was unable to get through. So I contacted Ketan again to ask if there was any other way around to get in touch with Collection team. But Ketan avoided my call twice.

Meanwhile, I spoke to another manager named Priyanka Kokitkar. She assured me that she will get in touch with the collection team and let me know the status by afternoon.

When I didn’t get any call till the evening so I contacted ICICI bank helpline again and spoke to another manager named Piyush Rathore. He refused to take any responsibility. So I had to speak to his manager Mr Amit Shah.

Amit told me all this happened because it was a Saturday and he will get in touch with the collections team on Monday 18-Dec-2006 and give me solution on Monday evening latest. But I didn’t get any call from anyone and I have been trying their numbers all day long continuously.

ICICI bank stole money from my account for the credit card which doesn’t belong to me. Nobody takes any responsibility of their actions, leave alone giving explanation or intimating me before debiting my own account.

This compliant I would like to aware all the consumer applied for the credit card with ICICI Bank. This is the incidence happened with me. And I want to Share with you all.

1. I December 2006 I received the call from ICICI Bank branch stating that I will get the free credit card from there bank because I had home loan from ICICI Bank and I regularly paid all the installment in time. After continuously receiving the call 3/4 days. I agree to fill up the form. Then the caller said the company representative will come and fill up the form & collect the document. But fortunately the representative not turns up to me to fill up the form. Then one day I meet an agent of the ICICI bank dealing with the credit card. I fill up the complete form and submitted all supporting documents.

In supporting document I submitted Electricity Bill for residence proof, pan card Photo ID Proof, My ICICI bank transaction slip for further verification but after submission of the entire document they rejected my application form because of some confidential reason. As per the manager’s explanation.

2. Then in the month of February I again I applied for the credit card in this month also I received the call from the bank itself and this time I am able to meet the company representative. Again I fill up the form this time company representative told me that your all document verification is already done. You received the call from the company itself so you need not to submit all the document but till I have given him all supporting document required ie PAN card Xerox, electricity bill Xerox, and salary slip Xerox. This time also the company rejected my application again for the confidential report. These are the two incidences happened with me. I want told you that both the time I applied after getting the calls from the bank itself. Then also in first application the I am able to know that the bank was not able to cross check the my residential address though I had given my ICICI bank transaction slip (which means that I had the saving account with the ICICI bank. Though the address is same for the application and the saving account.)

With all this thing I am not able to know If the bank is not giving the credit card to the consumer like me then why they harassed the consumer by making the call and saying that They are eligible for the credit card. This I am writing now because again I received the call from bank itself for the free credit card.

One month ago i submit a request of cheque book with a slip provided in cheque book at nehru place branch and they ensure me to send it in 4 to 5 days but still now i can't receive any cheque book... it's very urgent for me so pls take a serious or necessary action in this regard.

Many of the DSA (Direct Selling Agents) call people and claim to be calling from the bank. They say the card is pre-approved with a credit limit of xx lacs etc. etc. These people are not bank employees are just agents. Many people fall for this (I did too) and later complain that if the card was pre-approved, why was it rejected. Well, my card was not rejected but it had a credit limit of 13000 though I was told it would be 3 lacs. I promptly cancelled the card. Another DSA called me a later claiming to be calling from the bank and said there was a pre-approved titanium card in my name. When I asked him for his ICICI Bank employee number and official e-mail address, he hung up.
