I used to purchase Costco boneless skinless chicken thighs and was very satisfied with them. Recently, however, the packaging and product have been changed to include legs as well. I am extremely dissatisfied with this. The meat, especially the leg meat, is extremely sinewy and covered with fat. I am unable to use the meat in large pieces as I intended, and instead have to spend lots of time trimming the fat and sinews, and end up with only small pieces of usable meat and lots of waste. Today, after trimming my 7, 5 lb package of meat, I threw away more than 1 3/4 pounds of gristle, sinew, and fat. I expect to have to do a little trimming, but nothing like this. Please bring back the thigh - only meat. I will not purchase any more of this product, and have told others to be aware also. Thank you.
I completely agree. I have just tried my first pouch of three of this product and it is nowhere near as good quality as the chicken thighs on their own. I will not be purchasing any more. The meat is OK for stir-fry or something like that, but I am disappointed in Costco for putting this poor quality meat out for their Kirkland brand.
I totally agree. I used to buy the organic thighs, but now, I won't be buying those thigh and leg packages - they're real disappointment, and nothing like the thighs-only product.
Agree too! I just opened a pack and I'm so disgusted with them I had to stop and see if anyone else is too. I stopped purchasing them once they were combined but thought I would give them another try and this pack sealed the deal... they're low quality. Two thighs and four tendon ridden legs.
Why did Costco have to ruin a good thing? It really isn't like them to reduce quality. I hope this isn't the start of a cost cutting trend across other items. Chicken Thighs are going back on my traditional grocery store list.

Over the past year I discovered your prepackaged thighs & Legs. I've been very satisfied. However, the last batch that I purchased had quite a few very tiny thighs in the package. None in the package were as big as they usually are. In fact I threw several away because it wouldn't work for the recipe I'm making. They didn't have a whole lot of meat on them. Is there some issue with the source?
