I got the Promise Keepers App in May because I went to PK years ago and I was wondering if they were still active. It was my first time using the App, and I clicked on the Covenant Eyes link thinking it was part of Promise Keepers. I set up a username/password acct for a 30 day trial, but when I realized it was something different and cost money, I closed the app and never downloaded their software. I've never used the service, never downloaded the software on my computer, phone, etc. Then I noticed a $13.99 charge on my credit card statement one month and went back and noticed the same charge for the previous month. I emailed the company and explained. I did that in June and July and each time I got a response saying they would contact their accounting department to take care of it. Today I just got another email saying "Thank you for my recent payment of $13.99". I started to email them again, but figured that was a waste of time. Then I went to the website and read their instructions to cancel and the first think you have to do is login, but I couldn't because I have no idea what my username and password is. Usually you can answer security questions or have that sent but the message said I had to call. My guess is I'll have to listen to a sales pitch if I call. I've already paid around $60 for something I've never used, and I'm still trying to get them to stop charging me. I guess it's legal for them to do this (I don't know actually, maybe it's not) but it's really too bad that this is how they conduct business. Very frustrating.
