A company called Grant Writing Express promises help with getting grant money, sends you a FREE cd then charges you monthly service fees even after you have canceled contract. I see people on here looking for their phone number, well, my lawyer just found it! Here is the actual business running the umbrella companies that are scamming us! http://www.bbb.org/utah/business-reviews/web-designers/clickincome-in-sandy-ut-13002004#ratingdetails

They have over 300 complaints and some of those are not even registered as the company name is not a "true" match. And that's just the people who actually went as far as I have to get these con-artists! And by-the-way, you'd never guess that they have an "F" rating with the BBB! Good luck to all that have suffered this scam!

Ordered a FREE C.D. was told to pay 3.95. Was charged 74.95, caused my bank account to be overdrawn. I wrote them and got no responce.

This sight looked legit. I ordered a free CD-Rom and paid 3.00 for shipping. Now today, over a week later, I have not recieved the free CD-Rom and my Checking account was billed $74.95! This was unothorized. I immediatly contacted my bank and had to cancel my debit card. The phone number they give you just keeps u in a loop. Never once was my call connected with an operator. I am so disapointed that this company ripped me off!

I was also scammed like this. Ordered a cd for $3.95 and was charged $74.95 two weeks later. This caused my checking account to be overdrawn. I filled out a dispute form with my bank. I also left a message to this company that my attorney would be in contact with them. The same day I did this the $74.95 was returned to my checking account. Hope this helps.

I thought I was paying shipping on a free cd ($3.95). I never got the cd, but was charged $74.95 via automatic debit from my debit card. I have tried several times to contact and all I get is a busy buzz!

i did the same thing and they charged my account $74.95. that pisses me off i have read several other places that this is happening to people. why is this website on my space and tons of other places if they are a huge fraud. they will definitely hear from an attorney if they dont give me back my money.

I order a CD for $3.95 which I never received and then they charged my card $74.95 which was unauthorized. I tried calling a toll-free number and all I got was a busy signal. I have contacted my bank to have both these charges reversed.

Never received the CD for 3.95 & then was charged 74.95 for membership which I did not sign up for or request. These scams need to be stopped. They are ripping off hundreds of people. They need to be prosecuted.

Signed up for a free DVD plus $3.95 for shipping. Was billed $74.95 and $29.99 to my debit card. I never agreed to terms that include these amounts so I am fighting the payment through my bank.

Businesses that claim to help you win government grants are SCAMS so stay away from them. The FTC is holding a press conference on March 4 to warn people: http://ftc.gov/opa/2009/03/stimulusscam.shtm

I applied for grant then canceled the same day (2/17/09) and charged $29.95 today without permission. Never received CD.
I am trying to get the refund but can't make contact with anyone.

Totally agree. Same thing happened to me. Charged the fee for the CD but never received. Cancelled same day and still was charged $29.95. Called the number listed and it is a bogus number. It is a number for directory assistance. Do not fall for this!

I purchased this product on the internet. I waited to receive my CD in the mail. It never came. They sent me a download to my email and it was corrupt and unable to be used. I have tried to contact them but their number doesn't work now. I don't know how to get my money back.

My credit card was charged the 3.95 and I never received the product. I attempted to cancel membership before being charged the monthly fee and the company never confirmed receiving my cancellation. I called my credit card company and had my number changed before I could be charged the monthly fee.

Why is this scam still in operation?

I made the mistake of ordering a CD from this "organization" without thorough investigation. I allowed them to charge $3.95 on my credit card and have not yet received the statement from my credit card. One month later, I have not received the CD, but rather a download they emailed me.

When I attempted to go on their site today:

1. There is no email contact;
2. The toll free number is bogus and reverts to toll free information;
3. I discover that their business is located on some island called "Nevis" in the Caribbean.

Now I will need to check my credit cards closely to make sure there is no further fraud.

Please report these people.

Total fraud. 10 days after ordering CD for 3.95 which I never received, a 74.95 unauthorized charge was made to my account. They will keep making charges until you cancel the account. Check our their Caribbean Islands address. "Grant Ventures Today INC., 642 Main Street, Charlestown, Nevis."

I too ordered the FREE CD. I have now been charged $74.95 which I did not authorize and another charge for $29.95 to some magazine subscription. I called the telephone number listed on their web page and got a recorded message in some foreign language and then was disconnected. I also called the second number for the magazine and no one would answer. I then contacted my credit card company, CHASE, and spoke with a guy named Miles. Miles told me there was nothing they could do and would not take the 2 charges off. I had to close my account for fear of more unauthorized charges.

Forget about contacting them other than to officially request they close your "account". They're just snickering at you when you naively ask for your money back. That's not their job. Their job is to ### you, bounce you around, give you a glimmer of hope, then take some more money. To them, you're just another greedy ### who wanted something for nothing, and deserves to get screwed. over and over.

They took us for almost $150. I recouped through our bank, but I'd like to rent a bus, drive around the country picking up all the victims of this scam, and head for 2710 Thomas Ave., Cheyenne, Wyoming, to deprive these sleazy carnival-workers of their rights and body parts.

In the meantime, here's an idea. Contact the Cheyenne/Nevis chambers of commerce. Tell them there's a bunch of "city-fied" ripoffs from Florida hiding at 2710 Thomas Ave, and Cheyenne is becoming known around the country for being home-base for this kind of criminal activity. What would John Wayne think?!

Contact or call the local papers just outside of Cheyenne, as they'd be more likely to want to find some dirt in that town that's "down the road, a might"...

What the heck...Send the governer a letter. Hell, it's just Wyoming. He'll be happy to get a letter even if he "CAIN'T" read it.

btw: Google up Phil Piccolo. He's the fat greaseball behind all this...a one-man internet crime wave.

Two years after they ripped us off for $150, they are e-mailing me telling me that they are going to give me a "deal" and only charge me $74.95 per month, even though we cancelled over 2 years ago. Not to be trusted. They will NOT refund your money when they say they will. The first time they charged us $74.95, we called and they assured us it would not happen again, but the next month, there it was again. That time we called and they hung up on us. We had to cancel our bank card to stop them.
