I prefer to use Sea Salt and have been buying mine from Costco. I see the origins of Kirkland's Sea Salt is "Harvested from the pristine waters off of Brazil's northern coast". I researched the water quality in Brazil and found a good deal of information about this subject and found that extreme water pollution is normal in Brazil. Analysis of water quality in Brazil revealed dangerously high levels of viruses and bacteria from human sewage. Recent studies have found the ocean water along the coastline of Brazil to have high contaminates. Among these contaminates are fecal matter and plastic particles. Has Costco investigated the quality of the Kirkland Sea Salt they offer to consumers?
