This company has no data to offer. After going as far as I could with a free site, I signed up for this and paid $29,95. I cannot even find records on people like my late father for whom I have all relevant dates. What a rip-off, I e-mailed them and tried to cancel my membership and got nothing but an e-mail back promising further useless help.-
RIP OFF !
This site is BS as it does not allow you to do a thing without spending more money on top of what you have already paid. STAY AWAY - it does not even recognize me or my family in there search.
All of you are right about this site. CALL YOUR CREDIT CARD CO. IMMEDIATLY AND FILE A CLAIM. Also cancel your card and get a new one. I did the most simple search and found nothing! I tried looking up myself, with my full name (middle included), phone #, EVERYTHING still nothing. Who ever's running this site needs to be stopped and sued. I now have to wait for 10 days to get a new card! I feel like an idiot and I am!
FOR A CHARGE OF $19.95 I WAS SUPPOSED TO ACCESS, CRIMINAL, PERSONAL RECORDS...WHEN I PUT A NAME IN IT REFERS ME TO ANOTHER AREA...FOR AN ADDITIONAL CHARGE...I HAVE ASKED THEM TO CREDIT MY DISCOVER CARD...AND THEY KEEP SENDING ME UPGRADE EMAILS, WHICH DO NOT WORK.
I was sucked in by the apparent ability to provide info. After two searches I was hit with a requirement for $19.95 to " lift" my two-a-day limit on searches. What a load of carp.
Avoid these idiots. Call your credit card company and stop payment.
I paid 20 bucks for a one year membership for this site. I wanted background info on a person and there was no criteria other than name with which to search. Found absolutely no information. Biggest pile of crap product.
This program just don't work. All the jazz of helping you to track a dead beat is bull. It just sends you to a public site and you get nothing.. For a $39.99 fee gets you ripped off. The email site that you try to access is fake. STAY AWAY
it was suppose to be a one month to take from my account., they have been taking every for 6 months., i tried to email them., they dont have a phone number to call them., they should have someone to take their business off the site., like flagged it for others to not to go on their website.
No support and not having information as stated they did, free sites give the same information. Wasted $39.94 and no way to contact for refund. I can not even get back on to the site to log in, throws me off as not available.
I paid $29.95 and can find nothing for free. If I want to look up someone, I need to pay another fee. This website is useless! I feel cheated, plus I am out almost $30.00. I see others feel the same way! We should be able to get a refund!
I paid for a 1 year access to this website on [protected] and tried every day to get on to the site . I can not enter the page . there's always something wrong with the site so I can't get on it. I have contacted them to return my money and I haven't heard from them.
i paid $43.00 and recieved NOTHING in return.
### this compasny ! They robbed me. i want the people responsible for this arrested
Don't waste your money or time! I sure hope everyone reads this first before even thinking about paying the money. Even a dollar would be too much for the lack of information.
I paid 29.95 for information on court cases. It not only did not show any for the person/persons I was looking for (they are repeat felons), it also led me to other web sites that want more money. I asked for a full refund, and have yet to hear from them.
Put in informaton of parents, born in the 1900s' and came back and said no information found.
This is after I paid the membership fee.
Needs to be a better business bureau for internet companies that promise products, but in the long run, does not have the resources to provide.
Made an initial querie that came back as info available. To access the material required joining for approx $40. After doing so in good faith the supposed info was now non exixtant. This to me was a misleading pile of crap. A scam for a sucker which unfortuneately was me. Buyer beware!
This site is a scam ABSOLUTELY NO INFORMATION IS GIVEN OF ANY KIND. I even tried looking for my phone number and no records were found and my number is listed! DO NOT BUY.
totally agree! Should be banned from the internet. How do these people get by with this kind of crap?
This site has absolutely no information available. I entered basic individual information for a birth and a marriage record. Nothing. I entered just the last name (common name), absolutely no information for anyone with that last name. This site is a rip-off.
My credit card better be credited the amount that I was scammed out of for this
phony service by the end of business on Monday or litigation will commence on
Tuesday. Being an attorney, I will enjoy prosecuting all parties involved.
the same thing happen to me, no access to the records but they took $ 29.95..something ought to be done about these crooks sm tibbits
unable to get any info sold to me
This site is a SCAM. You pay money for a lifetime membership & never get access of any kind. Once you put your bank/credit card info. in the site goes down. When you try to go back into the website, it states address can't be found.
puchased there program and now no website works
i want my money
Just signed up for the unlimited lifetime special. $40.00.Also got the Oops-record area response.Wish I had seen these comments sooner. Now to call my credit card company. Anybody have success getting their $ back?
I just signed up for the Unlimited State Records and then found this site. OOOPs response like all the other complaints. Was anyone successful in removing the charge by complaining to the credit card company?
Payed $39.94 to register in Records.Area.com by credit card. The 'sign-in' site appears, but it only connects to an error page, saying the site is not-available. Cannot even connect to Customer Service to cancel service or be reimbursed.
I just join this company so i could access to some records for my mom, in order to get her in a assiting living. i paid 39.00 dollar on my credit card. please help me get this strighten out. The company won't reply to my correspondance.
Can't even find my mothers marriage or my fathers can't find anyone even local with all the informationwhat a farce want my money back, now and have everyone know this site is a rip off
I signed up for Records Area also was scammed for 39.95 unlimited lifetime membership, used it twice and it couldn't even tell me who I was or where I lived. Total scam. Now it will not recognize my log in or password and there is no one to complain to. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS WORTHLESS PIECE OF CRAP!
They do not provide what they portend to. Contact them with complaints at:

I paid my $ and have put in 5 people searches and have found NOTHING. I tried several searches of people I know info on and still NOTHING. This site is a FRAUD.
Can longer get to website -- do you know what's going on?
I paid 20 bucks for a one year membership from this site. I was trying to do a background check on someone, and had their information, but there was no where on the site to put the criteria. I came up with no information. I asked for a refund and and now being ignored by the company. Big piece of crap.
Takes your money and now site is gone.
This is a fake website and people, have to pay $39.95 to find that out. Now the problem is that when people sign up for this website, they have my name and telephone# and address. I have nothing to do with this company except that I did what they did, except when my bill came it had a telephone number and I called it and got my money back!
So if you sign up for this website CALL [protected]. They are clkbank and they are the ones you need to complain to, I don't why my name is listed on the website as the contact person or owner or whatever, I have no more to do with this website than you that are signing up for it so do not call me anymore about it, I think I blogged the site and left my telephone #, but not my name and address so if you couldn't find any other way to get your money back I would give you the telephone #. But you now you are talking like I am the one that owns the website and trying to rip you off and I have nothing to do with it so now I may not be so receptive to giving you any information, not even thier telephone #.
How can I get my name, #, and address off this website?
Redhibition is a civil action available under Louisiana law against the seller and/or manufacturer of a defective product, similar to the lemon laws more familiar to common law jurisdictions in other U.S. states.[1] Redhibition is one of many laws that are unique to Louisiana among U.S. states because of its tradition in French and Spanish civil law.
Purchased product through internet and it does not work. Have requested refund of charges to Chase Manhattan card. In the event refund is not given, redhibition laws provide for civil action against company.
Redhibition is a civil law claim against the seller and/or manufacturer of a product in which the buyer demands a full refund or a reduction of the purchase price due to a hidden defect that prevents the product from performing the task for which it was purchased. Under redhibition laws, the consumer must prove that the item failed to operate in the intended manner during normal use and that they have given the seller and manufacturer notice and reasonable repair attempts.
The refund request was on 2-27-09. Under redhibition, the seller has 3 days to make the product work as advertised or refund full purchase price.
I'll keep your site posted of developments.
I was scammed as well. I too wish I would have done a few minutes of due-diligence of researching this company before charging $29.95 to my credit card. Here is the recourse that I took for a refund:
a. I purchased their "service" on my American Express card as I do with all on-line orders. AMEX is the best for handling disputed charges. AMEX credits your card immediately, and will attempt to contact recordsarea.com to settle. (very nice).
b. Also, recordsarea.com uses "clickbank.com" as their merchant for handling credit card orders, I also sent them a threatening email demanding a full and immediate refund. They responded within one business day promising a refund. (email sent to: tma@clickbank.com)
