Cancelation of contract
01 September 2022 i received emails of cancelation of account from cartrack with the last debit order done on the 25th August 2022,amount of R653,01.On the 25 September 2022,a debit order of R90,75 was done.Again on the 25 October 2022 debit of same amount which i disputed both debits as unauthorized debit order.On the 27th October 2022 again cartrack proceeded to make a debit order of R180,51 which i disputed it.I received whats up massages from cartrack stating that i ow them.I called Cartrack and explained to them and it was found that they did not cancel the other package which was part of the debit of R653,01 under my account and immediately it was canceled.today the 19th November2022 i receive a phone call from cartrack stating that i ow it some money for a contract which was their fault not to see that not everything was canceled on their system as per my request.
Desired outcome: Cartrack please stop harrasing me emotionally and stop calling me saying i ow them.I have been a loyal customer and followed the right channels of cancelation so i need my name to be cleared from their system.

Hi I am client with car tracker. Around 14:50 I have called controller for location of my car the controller responded that my car is in Kempton Park while I know that I left my car at home when I go to work. Then I report stolen car around 15:00 even now they tell me that my car is parked at Kempton Park I must help them with case number soo I am totally disappointed and I can see that I am not in a good cover because is 1 hour waiting without communication I am the 1 spend my airtime calling about the update

I got accident on June my car was written off and I reported it, and I made arrangements that they take out the device from that car and put it in my current car and they told me it's going to cost me 800 and they debited the money plus the monthly premium, they debited that money for 4months without reinstalling the device
Rejection of recovery warranty payout
My name is Zandile Dube, my husband Albert Dube joined car tracker August 2020, amongst other covers, his car was covered for recovery warranty.
Unfortunately my husband was hijacked August 2022, his car was taken away and never be recovered, of which he communicated with Tracker during the process of investigation,
When he claimed for recovery warranty he was told that he didn't take the recovery warranty, he requested for the voice recording where he was taking the policy he was told that they lost the recording, but where he took the policy he was told that the call is recorded and will be made available in request.
When he made follow up he was told second story that he didn't comply with clause 8 of terms and condition. My husband told car tracker that he did make a call within 3months before the date of hijack, he was then told that that didn't did save his policy.
My husband concerns is that if he didn't comply with the policy terms and condition why his money was always taken from his account?
why car tracker did notify him for the noncompliance? him failing for do device test resulting in tracker failing to recover his car?
car tracker representatives are giving him deferent stories every time he request about the service.
now he reported this matter to Hollopeter, but he is not helped

I have 2 years now with cartrack, and when I started I was paying than my friend driving polo which is a way higher risk than renault, and when I called you explained, that he's been with you guys for long etc, so I felt that it will go lower but instead now, this month 2 years going up, the debit goes up and no contact, nothing or letting me know the reason, and there's 3 or 4 others that need a tracker but the way you are doing things is nonsense, so I'm thinking of getting quotes from other trackers

I am trying to help a pensioner get a tracker so he can insure his new van, I filled in the contact me form and a guy called the said pensioner, he is not very good with understanding so he passed the phone to me, he was so rude I have not ever experienced anything like it before after giving most of the information he requested bank details which the pensioner did not have so we asked the consultant to call back after 3pm today in order for the pensioner to go to the bank for confirmation of his account number he proceeded to scream at me saying I was playing games with him and wasted his Tim! Well if it were up to me I would not want to proceed further, cartrack you need to get staff training because this was unacceptable terrible sales and that's the first impression I got of your company. I am deeply disappointed with Cartrack service since I joined them. I have been with them for the past 23 months and only stayed because of the contract. Cartrack will never communicate. If you go to an area that you have never been to before they don't send a notification to show you that the car is always under surveillance or around the clock monitoring is active.They will never call to ask if you are safe. Cartrack never send notifications of high risk areas. They have just been collecting money from me. Last night I had to use the manual key because the battery for the key was flat. The alarm went off and screamed until it had tears but they never even noticed. So what kind of a vehicle tracking company is this, that makes you aware that they don't exist? Contact [protected], since I call car tracker 3weeks ago, asking for new installation, they said I must pay amount of 600 I did, they debited on my account, so now they don't come, they don't call to come to install New car tracker in my New car, and again they debit 163 every month but no car tracker, and since 2weeks ago waiting for someone to call me to come to install, they always transfer me to schedule department when I'm still in the call, it engaged dropped, so I don't know why they debit money so fast but delay to help me, and my INSURANCE need car tracker certificate, I told them I have and I paid for New installation. Cartrack service is very poor.
Cartrack service is very poor my car tracking unit lost the signal and they didn't even bother contacting me. For more than. Two week it was not tracking until my car got hijacked. The vehicle had only two months of operating before the hijacking. I tried calling their clients service no one could help me i got transferred from one consultant to the other please get your story right.

I am unhappy that cartrack keep on taking money from my account even though i have already settle their outstanding balance. I have received a Cancellation of contract letter. I was advised telephonically when I pay the full amount of R471.90 I won’t owe them anything. They went and debited my account twice as I made arrangements to take half on the 18/07/2022 and the half on the 26/07/2022 which they did, however on the 25/07/2022 they debited my account for my normal instalment R182.30 I reversed it.I called them again to advise about the arrangement and it was deducted, all they did was apologise and said they will cancel the account and the payment of R182.30. I received the Cancellation of contract letter on the 2022/08/15, however I am now being harassed by getting calls, sms, e-mails and even WhatsApp messages from Cartrack on a daily basis demanding I pay the R182.30 and this now 2 months after I finished paid them and closed the account.How many times am I still gone receive threats from them. I don't know what to do anymore I am not going to pay an account that was finished paid and cancelled. Looks like a bunch of incompetent idiots.

i have installed the tracker in my car in which the same month had to became a sangoma had no idea it was gonna happened so quick where i am i am paying and not working i have called the car tracker millions times want a way on how will we handle this matter i am behind with almost R700 which need to be paid i spoke to my brother to pay that amount for me he promise he was gonna pay it but month end September also asked them if they can disconnect the device until i am back to pay my own account when i am back cos my brother cant pay my car installment also the extra 200 every month they refused told me i need to pay 2500 in which i don't have any contract or signed any thing that shows i agreed with that and no one explained that to me because i would have taken it because i know i will be going to become a sangoma anytime soon i cant even pay the arrears how will i pay the 2500 of cancellation fee also i was given an option of downgrade also when i down grade they need the minimum fee of 350 where should i get that 3500 and where is it signed cos i have no agreement paper that states that i reall will appreciates if they can show me the agreement and where i signed coz they cant do that when we want to cancel and the last guy i spoke to he said they can do it when i spoke to him about thats not far he said it was fair and they can in which it was very personal how he answer i will never recommend any one to sign with car tracker they dont give you a solution they only add to your problems and rub salt in to the wound

The recovery warrantee of 150000 its just a scam I have called control room and recovery department they do not have any idea what this is about. I have been trying to call so many times without any help requested for contact details more especially an email where I can log this claim since my car was stolen however nobody knows how I can log this claim. I think they are relying on the SAPS just like every individual who does not have a tracking unit.

My contract of 3 years ended and Car tracker continued to bill me. I called and left message on their website to have it cancelled. The consultant was rude over the phone and when my airtime finished because the call was unnecessarily long, I was not called back. I immediately left a message on their website to be called back for confirmation that my policy was cancelled. They never called back. Cartrack continued to take money from my bank and I informed my bank to stop them and refund me for the unauthorized debit orders, they never refunded me, I decided to give up and leave the matter but I was not happy. My son have a tracker device in his vehicle for 2 years. On the 15th of July 2022 at approxamatly 21H40 he was involved in an accident, and his car was written off. All the airbags came out so the impact was servere. To date I have not received a call from the control room, neither do they pick up any impact at the control room. I canceled my monthly debit order and requested customer service to log a complaint, instead I am haunted daily by accounts department for the payment I reversed. They also said that I should go to the scrap yard and remove the device from the written off vehichle and put it in another car. I paid 2 years for a non existand service, I refuse to pay 1 c more

Carwatch Feature disabled for Motorcycles
28 July 2022. After being with Cartrack for over a year for my motorcycle, without notice the Carwatch feature, the only feature I as a bike owner can really make the most of, is supposedly no longer used for motorcycles because "it's hard to track them".
This comes after a week of me calling in and trying to find out why my alerts don't go through and that if be contacted for a support callout to be arranged, which never happened.
The feature is the most reassuring thing and definitely a big reason I even signed onto the cursed 3 year long contract. I'm now stuck with 19 months on my contract or the option of a R2,650.00 cancellation which is somehow the cheaper option.
It's ridiculous to think a company can just remove a feature at their own discretion, especially for a reason such as not being to track a vehicle when it's the entirety of their services, without notice and offer no sort of relief or alternative, heck even a courtesy notice.
Desired outcome: Formal notice/apologies with cancellation at no charge.
Poor service and taking clients hard earned money
Im getting no service from this company but they so on point when it comes to debiting but can't deliver.
I have called them from last year to notify them about their unit that it is draining my car battery since they installed it and that i cant even see my vehicle on their app as always they promise to send someone and sadly you wait and wait hoping to get help but nothing, someone called me last week saying my unit's warranty has expired would i like to extend it buy paying extra every month.
I asked when will i get help with the no signal problem i have and the answer w as lets test your unit told them im tired of the same process over and over again because i know the answer i will get is no signal found,it doesn't end there now they debiting me more than i was paying from R199 to R218 and can't even get an explanation why.

Car tracker has hired the most incompetent agents ever, today at 15:00 Itumeleng from accounts gave me a call regarding my outstanding account, apparently a debit order was not honored, beginning of the month i was told that they have failed to debit because my debit order change was changed the magtape did not run, i'm surprised today Itumeleng called me trying to make an arrangement with me, i've heard enough of this issue with you cartracker, you are ruining my payment profile, my account is not in arrears, you have failed to debit my account, the agent refused to disclose her name to me, i've asked her more than 10 times eventually told me her name is Itumeleng with less confidence, then asked to speak to a Team leader, who i think they are more competent than agent, ITUMELENG terminated the call, my contact number is [protected]

I took out an account with Cartrack since 2017. I had no problem with the service until 2021 Aug when they called me to offer an upgrade, I was in the verge of selling my car and I was convinced to take up the upgrade in the same month I sold my car. It was advised that they will be cancelling the previous contract to start another one which I agreed to install and they never did because I cancelled a week later because i'm selling my car. Cartrack has been requesting a cancellation fee to be paid of R2600 and I was not clear of that when offered the new contract that is invalid because they never installed the new device and I cancelled within the cancellation period of 30 days by law. Cartrack has been trying to debit my account and now causing a overdraft on my account which is affecting my financial stability and account itself. I would like anyone who has information on how to get the Ombadsman involved to please assist me in exposing their structure that is failing their clients. And also on top of that, they wanted to force me to ask the buyer of my car to carry on the contract on my behalf.

I took the company vehicle to car track in Bellville Capetown on the 07/12/2022 to install a tracking device and when they where done with the installation Bradley the technician said everything was successful installed and the tracking device is working then the next day I then called car track spoke to a call center agent mochacha she tried to check the device to see if it's working she said the tracking device isn't responding its giving the wrong location so she gave me a reference number:1260041 and booked me in for the 07/16/2022 to take the vehicle back to car track and have them sort the issue out I went to car track they tested the vehicle and they also told me that the unit that was installed has an issue so it needs to be replaced so they couldn't help me the then said I should come back on Monday to have a new device installed.. this kind of service is very poor..

On the 15th April 2022 my car stolen which I reported to car track immediately since I m covered with the for stolen and recovery for 3 years but till this date car track can’t find my car or their unit. I fail to understand if they can’t even find their unit what is it that I was paying Cartrack for. Now I am told there is nothing they can do to assist me. I had a recovery warranty with Cartrack for 3 years and apparently the warranty ended in February which I was not aware that its ending, I just saw car track debiting more money than usual and reversed the money since I did not know what was it for and later called car track to seek clarity since there was never a communication/reminder non whatsoever that the warranty will lapse. I am requesting car track to bring back my car since I was paying them to find my car in the event of theft which they failed decimally. Yes I do admit that I defaulted on some premiums but the policy was still active and I was still covered at the time of the unfortunate incident.

Yoh that is what's happenings to me right now, I've paid all my arrears, I've canceled finally but everyday cartrack calls to say I owe them, even their Attorneys call to say I owe them...it's total harassment honestly
