On Dec 19, 2023 I ordered a box of coffee on the McDonald’s App at approximately 6:15am from the 306 S Main Street Farmville, VA location. I arrived and gave my App order code and they said ok drive to window. Arrive and the employee said I don’t have this and had me pull over to drive thru parking space. So eventually another employee comes out and says they don’t have it. She said they have the boxes and she knew how to make the order but the manager said not to make it. So I asked how I at least get my money back and she said I don’t know. So I asked to see the manager. She eventually came out with my refund and told me that they have the coffee boxes but no lid for them. Looking at the picture on the app it looks like a one piece box. So first off, was I lied to?
Is this how McDonald’s operates?
Secondly why was it available on the app for Farmville, VA location if it was unavailable?
And yes I was ordering this for a meeting and I ended up empty handed. Needless to say I’m very disappointed and hope you will fix this unavailable product on the app or train these people how to put together a coffee box.
Claimed loss: Coffee box being taken to a meeting as a gift.
Desired outcome: That what is showing available on the app for a specific location is ACTUALLY available and won’t leave an individual high and dry.
