I went to get 2 bags of ice and to order a dinner for me. I am 82 yrs old. I go here 2x week for this. I went one day and my order was 5.50 and 2nd time. One day apart was 7.85. I said no not correct. The girl took out 1 hush puppy and said 6.75. I told her now I can't eat tonight and she replied. WELL GOOD! I left there with nothing and will not be back. I have been going there 18 years. But not now!

Captain D's - Drive thru service and quality of food and wait time
Drove into Captain D Gardendale alabama 8/8/[protected]@6:19. I was second car in line got to speaker 6:39. Waited patiently and was told to hold. Finally placed order at 6:45. Simple order. 2 piece fish dinner and add on shrimp for $1.99. 10.98 total. Finally got to window 6:50. Cashier took my money and I did not pull away until 7:05. Absolutely crazy ! She handed food out window no sorry you had to wait, or even a thank you. There was 4 cars as far as I could see behind me. Fries were cold, shrimp over cooked and fish was horrible. I fed it to my dogs when I got home.
14 minutes shy of one hour on food that was horrible. .
Desired outcome: Money refunded and get them some help
Captain D's - manager very rude to employee
I called in an order to the Gardendale location. I spoke with a young lady named Robin. She was so nice & professional. After I placed my order & she told me it would be ready in 15 minutes. Then, the manager interrupted her, & was VERY rude & unprofessional. She stated that they could not take any call in orders, for the first two weeks.
She said I would have to come place my order in person.
I have no problem going to the restaurant, to place my order. I however do have a problem with the unproffessionalism, that was displayed by the lady, who is supposed to be running the store. I felt so bad for the girl that answered my call.
It is a shame that a restaurant, that is so popular in our community, has a team of caring, well mannered employees, has to work under someone like that. I imagine you would have an exceptional rating in this location, if the management were a little less rude. Maybe she should pay more attention to the attitude displayed by her employee, & follow their lead.
