I received a gift card for Popeyes. I checked the balance on the card to make sure it was activated, before going into the store. When I ordered and went to pay, the gift card was not reading on their machine. The manager came to the front after about 5 minutes of us trying to get the card to swipe. The manager said gift cards don't work in their store sometimes and she doesn't know what to do about it. After another 5 minutes of trying to swipe our card, we left with no food and no resolution to our issue. I tried to call Popeyes and get someone on the phone, which is impossible. I emailed with a customer service rep for a few days and she gave me an online ONLY coupon that comes with restrictions and the food is more expensive online. I have reached out to follow up on the status of my gift card and cannot get ahold of anyone. I will NOT be eating at Popeyes any more.
Claimed loss: $50
Desired outcome: I would like not only my gift card to be re-issued, but also an additional balance for the stress I've incurred trying to resolve this issue. This was a gift for me and it has only been a hassle and a missed meal.
