The night service for customer orders for the Drive Thru at the McDonalds at 4929 Gattis School Road Hutto, TX 78634 is horrible.
It is Tuesday 12/5/2023 at 7:00 pm CST time and there is no one responding to the two Drive Thru lanes. This is the 5th time within the last couple of months that I've witnesses this at night. Customers were yelling in the speakers and honking the horn over and over again and finally just driving off. I sat there for 10 minutes honking and finally someone responded. She sounded like a young Asian girl. I asked why no one was responding to the Drive Thru and she did not give an answer.
When I drove to the window to pay, I asked the attendant, "Why is no one responding to the Drive Thru lanes." He said the person supposed to be doing that is moping the floor in the back.
When I got to the 2nd window, the food delivery window, there were 5 very young people just standing around doing nothing.; chitty chatting and acting silly. There was one red headed chubby white guy handing out the food. He was the only person doing anything.
I asked him, "Why someone from the back couldn't help take orders since they were doing nothing?" He replied, "There is someone taking orders for the Drive Thru." I said "No there has not been anyone taking orders. I sat there honking for 10 minutes and other customers gave up and drove off. No telling how much money was lost that McDonalds could have made." He was polite but did not really know how to respond.
A young Asian guy with long hair asked what I said to him and when told the Asian guy started laughing at me. I said, "What is so funny about a customer sitting and honking for 10 minutes trying to get someone to take my order?" He just kept laughing and said, "We have other things to do besides take customer orders." They were doing nothing but hanging out acting silly.
I said, "I said have you ever heard the customers come first. If no one can place orders, the company does not make money, and you no longer have a job." He just kept laughing like it was the funniest thing in the world. A person should not be trying to be mopping at a busy time and not taking orders when there are plenty of other people standing around doing nothing that could mop.
Welcome to GenX attitude. Please have some ADULTS working at that location at night. Most of those teenagers and young adults working at night don't want to work. They just want to act silly and chitty chat.

Claimed loss: Wasted time honking trying to get service for 10 minutes while no one was responding to the two Drive Thru lanes.
Desired outcome: Hire Adults not silly teenagers and young adults who don't want to work. This business needs an Adult supervisor at night.
