When i went to hurricane harbor, i signed up for a contest says, “sign up to win your gift" so i wrote down my information dropped it in the box. After 2 weeks i received the exact form from them says i won “something” and the address i got the letter from avc travel, 6321blvd 26 suite 450 north richland hills, tx 76180 and it also says i have to call the silver leaf resorts to claim my prize :d :d :d such as the $$$$ 49, 000, free vacation trip or a luxury car :d :d :d) . I felt like it’s a scam, so i researched about it online, and i found out some negative reviews
1) most of them says it’s a scam
2) few says they won “something. ”
Since i signed up for it, i decided to go there because whether i don’t know if it’s a scam or not so i called them, and then they gave me two options either came on
1) wednesday or thursday morning at 9 am, 12am or 2 pm
2) they also said i cannot reschedule my appointment  
I asked for their for websites, and this is what they gave to me
1) http: / / www. Awardverificationcenter.com / avc - about - us. Htm (I felt like a fake website, but they have some pictures of the winners who won “$49, 000”)
2) http: / / www. Silverleafresorts.com / (Seems like a pretty good website)
I went there at 2 at noon
1) the first thing i did was i filled out a form for an appointment and they asked for my driver’s license and credit card,
2) i waited there for 30mintues
3) i had seen many people waiting and filling out their forms (Almost 15 people, mostly couples)
4) the agent called out my name and took me to a big hall, and i got surprised because i saw more than 70 people there (Oops sales marketing)
5) my agent was talking about her company for a while she asked me to choose one of the 3 options which were the 3 trips to somewhere and all they do is free stay for few days but we have to pay for the airfare and tax which is going to be more than $ 100 i guess
6) when i asked her about the tax she refused to tell me more about it so i said i am not interested in your package so another guy came over and said ” why u don’t want to accept our gifts” blah blah blah
7) when i called them on the phone before i come there they mentioned me about the gift i am going to get which was the complimentary trip and second gift is the scratch off card but when i refused to take the package he did not give me the scratch off card and he was like “since u don’t want our package get out of here”
What i learned
1. It took me 1 hour to get there - - - - worst day in my life
2. Always read the official rules which we would be at the bottom in really tiny letters
3. It is for sales promotion because when i asked a different agent about it he said even if i get the scratch off card it would only give a discount in the trip and nothing else is i am going to get from there - - - - - - - -
4. Don’t give your credit card number, in my case they only asked for my driving license and also they want to see your credit card to make sure that it has the same name which is on the driver’s license
What i received from them
A cup of coffee + bag of popcorn + kit kat = :d :d :d :d

I received the same letter 05/05/2014. I called they scheduled a date for my husband and I and they called me back the day before to say it was an error and that we couldn't come on that date. So anyway when I called back it's never any dates available for us to come. I don't want a tour I want what I won which is the cash! I been on a tour before. SMH!

They're trying to sell you a timeshare. Don't even bother, I went and that's all it is.
