fortunately, i am not a victim of their tireless scams .. but they do call my phone at least 10 times a day, and when they call, they either let it ring half a ring and hang up or ask for an alison .. when i inform them that i am not alison nor do i know an alison they try telling me that they've had his number for this "member" for 4 years .. i've had this number for 10 years so i dont quite get that .. as for the calling and letting it ring half a ring, i've called them back and very nicely asked to be put on the do not call list .. they say it takes up to a week for that request to go through which is fine, i'll wait .. but when i asked why they call and only let it ring once, they say they have no idea why that happens .. so, since today was an ugly rainy day outside and i had nothing to do .. and yes this may make me sound lame .. but i've called them over a 100 times and hung up as soon as they answered .. and when my husband gets home and shows me where the airhorn is, i will then be using that as soon as they answer and will continue to do so until they quit calling me. i will get just as ridiculous and immature as they are ..

Cheaptrips.com scammed me out of my $99.00 for four tickets to anywhere in the world just so long as you book in advance. I never recieved anything from the company and the runaround from the company when I called to get my money back. The best thing to do is to call your bank and dispute the charges that were made to your bank account. That is what I am doing. It may be time consuming to dispute the charges but I think it is worth it.

I knew that the site sounded too good to be true. I'm glad I found this blog. Does anyone know of a legitimate site that does offer discounted trips other than the conventional websites. What about flying as a courier? I heard you can get some super deals.

Just 5 weeks ago I was called by Cheaptrips (as a valued member - lol) telling me for $99 they would send me 4 free tickets for anywhere in the continental US and Canada. Having a trip already in mind within the next 5 weeks, I was intrigued so I asked more questions.. i.e. Q - can I use all the tickets at once or one at a time A - Yes Q - Is there time limitations as to when I can book the flights A - 14 days, but we suggest 30 days for best prices and availability. Q - Is there any restrictions I should know about A - none... I was told it would take a month (yes a month) to get my package, when I told her I was traveling in a month, she said, no worries you will receive the same package in email in a week. The week came and went and when I tried calling the customer service number a recording came on saying we are sorry but are having technical difficulties please use our website (technical difficulties with a phone?) So, I did just that, went on the website and asked why my package had not arrived in email yet, they responded by saying, it must be in your spam filter we sent it over a week ago. I then proceeded to tell them my spam filter is OFF and they responded and told me I must have deleted it... (which obviously I didn't) They FINALLY sent me the "vacation package" in the email and that's when I found to get these 4 free tickets I "had" to use specific hotels for 3 days of my travel booked by specific agencies and I could only use 2 airline tickets at a time AND THEY HAD TO BE BOOKED 90 DAYS in ADVANCE! Nothing like I was told over the phone even with my specific questions asked and answered above... So, bottom line, you can use what they are selling BUT beware there is A LOT OF RED TAPE and LIES behind the curtain - OH which brings me to this letter - I "just" got a call from a local number [protected] (connecticut) from a representative from Cheaptrips asking me if I'm planning on taking any trips anytime soon... ARE YOU KIDDING ME! When I told him what happened to me, HE HUNG UP... SCAM SCAM SCAM!

I, too, was duped by Cheap Trips some years ago and have been contacted by them A LOT in the last year. I had been getting telemarketing calls from a DC area code and finally blocked them from my cell phone. Today, I got a call from a company called Grand Rewards claiming that I had a $3, 000 credit with Cheap Trips. Really, what is this crap? Do crappy, nasty, stealing telemarketing companies like this still exist? Enough already.

I have found this company to be unethical. I have never received any material from them and forgot all about them. All of a sudden I am now receiving phone calls from another company who says they took over CheapTrips and if we don't pay $599. they will have to reinstate us in CheapTrips...I will not pay the $599. We are retired, 74 yrs of age and do not want to be bothered with either company. Guess we will wait and see what happens.

I was scammed by them more then once. I have had several calls trying to get me back. today was by "Dream Vacation" and said I had 3500 $ in my account from Cheaptrips and they want to make up for the "wrong" cheap trips has done. As far as I am concerned, they are just another company or the same people who have changed their name and of course want more money to activate my membership with Dream Vacation. They won't send anything by mail, only by email and showed me their website, which anyone can create, so what? I say any company who has taken over a "scam" company like cheaptrips is also a scam. Don't answer anyone saying they are Dream Vacation [protected])
