Empire flooring will not stand behind their guaranty on the laminate flooring.
18x26 foot room was installed and in a short time the floor buckled and the middle rose up 2". They sent a man with a 'moisture guage' to see if the floor was wet underneath. He ask what we cleaned it with and I showed him the swiffer wet jet 'For Laminate Floors'. That was Empires reason for not fixing the floor. Because we used a wet jet!
I had another flooring cpmpany come to tell me why the floor raised in the middle like that and as soon as they saw it they said it was because it was installed too tight. It needed to 'float' and was not enough space along the edges.
Empire would not do anything they said to stand behind their product!

Very similar situation; installation of LVP in my entire home; 2 bedroom flooring, has buckled and warped, Empire stating not covered; I purchased the extended warranty and Empire is NOT standing by their product. The flooring began buckling within 9 months of installation in the 2 rooms. I AM A VERY DISSATISFIED CUSTOMER AND WILL NOT RECOMMEND EMPIRE TO ANYONE EVER!
My complaint is that same as many of these already posted. Boy do I wish I had read these before using Empire! We purchased new flooring (Laminate) for our den and dining room to the tune of almost 4 Grand thinking if we went with better flooring it would last quite a while. Wrong! Our install was November of 2019 and I called in November of 2020 to talk to someone about the floor already buckling. Now it is so bad the corners of the flooring panels are curling up too.
Long story short, I was advised 3 different times to email pictures to customer service, so I have done this 3 times. nobody will call me so I have to call them to follow up and every time I am told they cannot find my pictures in their emails. I just want them to stand behind the product they sold us but per last conversation, I was told there would be a $125.00 charge if someone comes out to look at it. As of now I am researching how to actually get my complaint heard and addressed but so far no luck. I have never sued anyone in my life, but I am considering that too.
NEVER. EVER AGAIN WILL WE USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN.
I bought a house with LVP installed by Empire. The inspector reported some gaps and floor repairs needed in the kitchen. Although the sellers could have used the warranty, they did not. I went to get a repair estimate, they sent a sales guy. They cannot repair the floor they installed - poorly, I may add. The seller of my home would need to schedule (at now my house) and pay for the repair. This is nuts and the worst customer experience process I have heard of. As these have reported, Empire does not stand by its work!
I had a vinyl floor installed it started to buckle... I went round and round +$1000 to repair than I wrote to CEO..my letter went back to local office, they sent a tech MOISTURE because I used a swiffer cloth 1× per week. Swiffer says as long as vinyl floor is sealed...it can be used. I was never told floor was not sealed. WHO BUYS A FLOOR THAT CAN'T BE WASHED! AND NOW I'M TOLD $$2500 TO REPLACE FLOOR! No Empire doesn't stand behind its products.
I'm expecting them in the morning,is your house on a slab or do you have a crawl space, not that it matters because you should never of had to deal with that maybe that's why they only installing planks now, glad I read this I'm calling and canceling my installation thank you
My $5700 laminate flooring has buckled. Empire tells me only that they no longer carry that product. The installers had left me a box of planks that would fix the problem, but I cannot get Empire to even give me the name of someone who can do the work. (I WILL PAY SOMEONE!) But they bounced me around and then stopped returning my many calls. I can't fix this myself and so-called handymen are no help at all.
Never again.
