We were forced to leave our townhome without knowing why our mortgage company was not getting back to our on-going requests for refinancing. I was told at one point that we were not eligible for refinancing in October of 2009 because we were not behind on our mortgage. I filled the paperwork (extensive) with them THREE times. I continually attempted to call them without anyone calling me back - THEN it went to no option to leave a message ? ? ?
My husband and myself have lost our opportunity in life to gain or secure any wealth for our future - thanks to Litton Loans as they took all of our savings away in the form of our downpayment and on-going mortgage payments.
Please do not simply TRUST someone because they have the ability to procure funding. As I was raised by one of the "Great Generation" I was told you have to maintain your financial obligations first. It appears that is simply not true. Once my husband lost his job in 2009 - we were in desperate need to get the loan refinanced -thus my continual effort to to do - which was not responded to by anyone at Litton. Eventually the following year - I lost my job and had to change jobs as did my husband - and we were fortunate enough to get re-employed during a very difficult time for people to do so. Knowing we were going to lose our house if we could not refinance it, was as stated by others beyond devastating. There was NEVER a reason we should have EVER lost our house. We paid on time - NEVER missed a payment and planned on retiring in that townhome. Our future of growth and a chance to leave anything from a full lifetime of work by us - was completely destroyed by Litton Loan..
