I was bounced around from doctor to doctor until I finally wound up in Dr. David Stein's office at Milwaukee Pain. He is the doctor that ordered an emg test to find out that I had Peripherial Neuropathy disease. I was grateful so much that I put up with abuse for months after my spinal cord stimulator sugery that he ordered for me also. The abuse started after the first sugery that I had. I was locked in to one doctor that could write perscriptions for me and that was him. If he went out of town or there was a mistake on the insurance's end or their neglegant mistakes then I would have to suffer for several days, or even up to a month with little or no pain pills after I had just had surgery. I was devastated and they told me there was nothing that they could do for me about it until my next appointment. I had to scramble to find ways to keep my pain managed, and to keep from going through withdrawls. I suffered a great deal. I had to have the surgery over again a few months later because I was ordered to be on bed rest, and soon after, I became homeless, and had to move. I couldn't follow the strict instructions for the whole six weeks because I had to get myself, and my wife, and my 2 and a half year old daughter out of our place within 5 days. So, after the second spinal cord sugery was redone, I thought this neglegent problem would be fixed, and that we had an understanding now, that I'm a human being, and that is horrible to have a patient cut wide open, with 28 staples the first time, and 32 the second time, and make them suffer more then 3 different months worth, on different occassions, after 2 major surgeries. Every time that I addressed this issue to the nurse or staff, I was treated like dirt. There are many more details to this story that I don't have the time, or patience for expressing, but I want to look into a lawsuit against this place for the way they treat people. I didn't even mention what they did to my wife. She was a patient there also, and she had fibromyalgia. Dr. Stein put her on Savella and she had horrible side effects from it. She felt like she was going blind, fainted several times, had panic attacks, and headaches etc. etc. so the staff said, to stop taking it when she called and said this to them. The next time that she came in, she discussed this issue with Dr. Stein, and he told her that she can try either a lower dose of it, or another drug like it. She said to him, " Can't you put me on something a little more natural? I have an allergy to that kind of medication." He then said, " If your not going to agree to take the drugs that I offer to you then there's nothing that I can do for you. " He then said to the nurse, " Sharon, please discharge this patient!" My wife went home in tears because she could not help her allergies to the new medications for that type of illness. There has to be some type of law against this type of treatment with patients.

I had the same issues with Dr. Stein and ### wife. Very rude, dosent listen to your concerns about his treatments, and spends very little time with you at follow up visits. I also believe he is screwing insurance companies and his patients. He changed where the lab work was done when the insurance company changed their policy, and it cost me and the insurance company thousands. As far as I'm concerned, he and his wife can rot in hell!

Dr. Stein and Sharron Stein are scam artists. They tell you other treatments are required before the advertised miracle spinal decompression treatment, but won't tell you their costs, or that you are not eligible for it in the first place. You receive a horrendous series of bills, these "other required treatments' twice that of other clinics(cortisone shots which are temporary, nerve ablation, which if you can find the fine print, has little or no effectiveness, also temporary) of over $10, 000. If you fight them in court, court commissioners and judges always side with Milwaukee Pain, which files over 50 judgment cases/year, and over 300 in the last five. I have mailed a list of laws broken by Milwaukee Pain to each defendant and have spoken to many - in the hopes of shutting them down with a class action suit. To top it off, over the last few years they post positive comments on websites like this to circumvent complaints of those scammed.

My wife to has had many problems with this doctor but more so his staff. She is on medicaid and they still collect a 70.00 money order from her and every other patient they have. He prescribes medicine that they no longer carry at any pharmacy and when you call the office about it, they are rude and over talk you, not giving you the chance to explain anything. My wife has now been hospitalized due to seizures cause by all of the problems there. Which I will get into once we file suit. If anyone is looking to file suit in a class action as well as filing complaints with the medical board and other things. Please feel free to contact us at buddabear38@yahoo.com and or [protected]. Thanks Ken

Agreed. Glorified drug dealer! He doesnt listen nor care to. Only worried about lining his pockets. Pharmaceutical company recalled my patches and couldnt get dr stein to write 2 separate perscriptions to get me the few new patches pharmacy had in stock until new ones came in then to get more. They didn't even know about recall. He doesnt listen and runs the care plan his way. Keeps pushing me to do injections every time i go and i tell him every month (for years) i cant do it due to steroid allergy. Plus i pay $150 each time i go in. Now everyone is losing half their dose of meds. Do not go see him!

I am happy they finally caught up with this doctor and his rude wife (who does not have medical license or any other certification to practice medicine). They are unprofessional, money hungry people who deserve to pay for all of the harm they have caused Wisconsin residents throughout the years. The patients were treated like dirt and deprived of adequate medical care. What doctor asks you to leave your cell phone in a basket, because they are afraid of being recorded? What doctor has a patient bring in a money order and wants to keep the whole money order? The patient is not allowed to keep the receipt portion. I appreciate the people who told the feds about this barbaric couple. May they rot in hell or should I say a cell? Prosecute these people and take away his medical license! Everyone who was treated by his wife (who does not have a medical background or license to practice medicine) should file a lawsuit against the clinic. Does anyone know if there is an active lawsuit against them for patients to seek compensation for the mistreatment experienced at the clinic? If there is please provide the contact info. I want in on it.

I went in for an initial visit, to discuss pain treatments for my back. I have had 9 spine surgeries, and I can't seem to find a doctor who cares to listen to me. They are all bogged down by restrictions of their employers ( most are from the big 2 hospitals/healthcare systems in our area). Dr Stien left me amazed. He talked with me, not to me, for almost 40 minutes. He thoroughly went through my 2 decade history of lumbar fusions, s1 to L1, as well as a cervical fusion. He then went on to explain the options I have, medicines available to me, and all of the latest restrictions, as well as the dangers of opiates (which I was NOT seeking). I really felt good after this 1st visit, and I will make a followup comment after seeing him for a few more appointments. Both he, and his wife/nurse were professional and courteous to me. Fingers crossed he can help!
