This company is charging me monthly for credit reports and I can't find them to cancel. I will have to do this through my bank incurring additional charges.
Please report this comepany to the Better Business Bureau. www.bbb.org
They should not be able to get away with this.

[protected] is the number to call to cancel the membership for this scam. I was originally charged 14.95 from free credit report.com 8 days after viewing my report, I immediately canceled (or so I thought), and the following month was charged 9.95 for what they call "Monitoring" I have googled several number [protected]..[protected]...[protected], and these numbers are only available monday through friday, so don't attempt these numbers on the weekend. Also GET YOUR CANCELLATION NUMBER WHEN YOU CANCEL ALONG WITH THE OPERATORS ID NUMBER! The government should get involved in these types of scams considering they advertise "freecreditreport.com" on national Television. You basically have to be a private investigator (thank goodness for the internet) to keep up with all of your passwords, logins, etc.

Well, at first I was unhappy about my unusual charge that I didn'y know about, but you HAVE to read the fine line of text. I didn't do that. They clearly state they will charge you $12.95 at the end of 30 days if you do not cancel. As the poster above somewhere stated, call the toll-free number. You have to press some numbers to get there, but if you follow instructions correctly, you really will be contacted by someone. They ask for your social, name, and email to verify it is you. Do not be skeptical, they really are just verifying you. Like I said they try to tell you all about staying in the program, and winning money and all sorts of stuff, but I just told them I would feel better if I just canceled. If I was rich I would probably use their service, they ONLY send you email alerts if something or someone messes around on your identity. If you were to get a loan, guess what, they will send you an email. Its really not a bad service, or a scam I don't think. People just don't SEE what they are paying for. It won't send you anything if nothing happens to your account. Just read people!

Last night I was checking my bank stub and I noticed the charge so I called the number on the site to cancel my account. That number didnt help because the charge was with MNI so I finally called my bank and they gave me this number to call. [protected]. I didnt get my $12.95 back that I was charged for but she didnt charge me to cancel. The lady was nice and took care of my problem fast and easy.

The company is most likely (Free credit Report.com) / MNI*CREDITREPORT.COM [protected] or [protected]). Their mailing address is P.O. Box 9153, Canoga Pak, CA 91304. They send me charges every once in awhile for a report/service which i didn't order. I have to call them and cancle what ever it is they are charging me for, it really is a pain in my butt. I think they draw my name from a hat and charge me for a previous order, who knows how these things trully happen. I like the idea of changing bank accounts... but why should that be necessary ?
They clearly state they will charge you $12.95/ or what ever/ at the end of 30 days if you do not cancel. As posted above someone stated. Please read the fine print, and call the 800 #'s to CANCLE soon after receiving the report to avoid any further charges. But most of all, just stop using these people, and as always...tell your friends.
I'm dealing with the same stuff as the rest of ya., with about as much luck as the rest of ya.

I agree with all these complaints as well. I paid these fees for about a year and just now figured out who the hell "MNI*CREDITRPT MN" belongs to. If you have a membership with FreeCreditReport.com and are being billed $9.95 a month, I recommend you cancel, their customer service is hassle free about this. ITS A SCAM THAT NO ONE IS GOING TO TELL YOU ABOUT, because no one knows the agreements that you agreed to upon becoming a member online because they don't show you. Also, if you have a bank account thats being billed most of them will not stop or block the transaction. You have to call the customer service dept. of "FreeCreditReport.com" --->[protected]. I will gladly join in a class action suit against them for the waste of my time, duress, and punitive damages if anybody is a lawyer.

totaly a scam. When they say they need your credit card number to verify your identity, they don't like to tell you that they'll also tack on a charge every month to that account. I just noticed the 12.95 charge, and they will be hearing from me ASAP. thanks for posting all the phone numbers and advice.

I'm not sure if I didn't read the fine print or if I forgot that at the end of 30 days they will charge you 12.95 at the end of 30 days if you do not cancel.
Anyways, I do believe that it is a scam, being that I didn't receive any of the "monitoring services" they claim I am paying for.
Call [protected], they will ask for your social, name and email address to verify that it is you. Once this is verified, they will attempt to have you stay until the next billing period and if you stay then you can win some money and some other things to make you stay with them. I just cancelled.
They will give you a confirmation number and send an email. Tell your friends and others that freecreditreport.com ISN'T FREE...don't use them, just call the credit bureau they will send you one for free.

An MNI charge on your account is not from FreeCreditReport.com. FreeCreditReport.com charge shows as CIC. MNI is CreditReport.com. I believe these are two different companies.
How many times have you been told, "Read, before you sign". Another life lesson from your parents that you chose to ignore. Shame on you for bad mouthing a company for your idiocy.
And for all of you that reported FreeCreditReport.com for your $9.95 charge, goes to show how much you really have no idea what your doing. $9.95 is from CreditReport.com, $12.95 is from FreeCreditReport.com.
Step up to the plate, and realize that you should not have blindly trusted someone and clicked "agree" to the terms of agreement without reading them.
Eat it, AND, remember the taste, so you don't do it again.
If you don't like what a company has to offer, don't shop there!

As we speak, I am on hold with MNI. Every phone number that I have called at this point has denied that I have an account, but miraculously, they bill me every month. When I finally get through, the person on the other end will wish they never took the job. This is a classic case of highway robbery. I have contacted my bank and they told me that I have to document everything, and then they will go after them. The nmber that I used was [protected]. Supposedly the service is cancelled, but I have been given another number to dispute the previous charges. That number is [protected]. If you need me for a class acti9n suit, contact me please. I would love to have a hand in choking the life out of these blood-sucking vultures.

I do not know who MNI Credit Services are etc. I have called and the person I talked with could not tell me anything...just to call back. Does anyone know what is going on at this company? What can we do to stop this?

When you sign up for freecreditreport.com, it says they will charge you a monthly fee, you have to call them immediately and cancel it. When you cancel it, freecreditreport.com will send you a confirmation e-mail. I canceled in May, immediately after I saw my credit score. I saw that MNI Credit Report was taking out money and called them immediately, the guy told me that I signed up for it through freecreditreport.com. I told him that I canceled in May and I have a confirmation e-mail to prove it. Of course, he couldn't find it in his system and wanted me to fax or e-mail him the copy of the e-mail. The company is a fraud. Immediately call your credit card company and tell them, so they can get your money back. Here's the information for MNI to contact them.

I have just received news from a credit card that I have closed stating that MNI has been charging my account each month for the past 6 months of $11.95. I called FREE CREDIT REPORT and they agreed that I did cancel my membership within the "non fee time frame" and should not have ANY charges. I am very interested in filing a lawsuit. Please feel free to email me whoever is in!

Hello fellow suckers. Apparently our eyes don't work because the fine print informed us of this "service." What a scam! How do these people sleep at night? I've been charged $9.95 for the last year. Credit card company said they couldn't do anything because I didn't cancel. Reminds me of the old Yellow Pages fraud.

Total BS. I got charged for a whole year at $11.95 from creditreport.com. I went looking for information on a class action suit and found out that one was already filed against freecreditreport.com ( http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/conline/edcams/freereports/index.html ). I feel terrible, because this scam was already documented.
However, we can still give these jerks a run for the money. These sites currently pay for space on Google to be one of the first hits you get when you search their name. The real site that should come up first when you search (credit report or free credit report) should be ( https://www.annualcreditreport.com/cra/index.jsp ). This site is endorsed by the ftc, and is truly free. So, make a difference and search one of the scamers name on Google then click on the annualcreditreport.com link a few time to increase the hit count.

I like everyone else, had a charge on my checking account from this company. I had wanted my credit report and surprise! I called the company and told them I wanted to cancel, had to give them all my information for them to do this. Then they wanted me to try the service, that I didn't want in the first place, since I had already been charged 12.95, then if I didn't like the service to call back on the 1st of Ded to cancel. What a ripoff this place is. Someone needs to shut them down!

i to am getting the run around also i never recieved a credit report but they are charging me even tho i canceled with them in sept but they say i never did. Bull the free credit report is just another scam just like all the darn companys out there. When is our government going to stop this illegal dealing. The gov says they will but i am not seeing any action. Doesn't do any good to turn them in to consumer affairs when they just sweep it under the table and never do anything against the illegal things going on in this country. Enough of this already. When are we going to be protected by our government that is suposed to be for the people and not criminals like mni credit report. Class action suite sounds great

make sure every little thing is spelled right. I to have been charged 12.95 for three months. Why when all i needed was a free report like they said. Never was anything on web site of more charges. I canceled in sept. And since i am on the road and didn't have a cancel number they have gotten away with 2 more times. When is our government going to do something about the illegal stuff going on. Class action should be done

They did the same thing for me. I never agreed to anything but one credit report over a year ago. I just found out they have been charging me monthly now for about 14 months. This is such a scam. When I called them to cancel, they wouldn't just cancel, they kept trying to get me to do it at a discount. I never even wanted it or saw the credit reports (after the first one). At least if I was paying for it, I would have liked to look at them!

I am really pissed off! Check this out!
My 80 year old father went on line to free credit report . com to get his credit score, he was thinking of getting a personal loan due to that fact that he is on a limited income. I'm sure some of you can relate. My dad also was charged a fee of $12.95. "What false advertisement and piracy
the "FREE" credit report is.
I called the credit card company that the fee was taken out off to see what I had to do to get this charge reversed and to make it stop. They told me to contact "FREE" credit report.com and dispute the charges. I did this and they assured me that the charges would be reversed. I also canceled the membership. Well the next statement came and they did not reverse the fee and the credit card company charged my dad a late fee of $39.00 plus a $1.00 service fee to include now my dad has a delinquent mark on his credit report. NICE! For a 80 year old senior on a limited income!
So, once again I call "FREE" credit report.com to find out why the fee was not reversed as the guaranteed it would be. Guess what? They had no record of my dad even being a member! I asked to talk to a supervisor and they hung up on me three times!
I believe this is a scam also and looking at all the people who are experiencing the same issue we all should file a class action lawsuit against both "FREE" credit report.com and MNI credit monitor service. Think about it. If you do the math these companies have made millions already from this misleading advertising. YES let me know as well when the lawsuit gets filed and feel free to E-mail me. I am also filing a complaint with the Attorney General in Washington State. Thank all of you for wanting to stop this...

As an agent with all center that takes inbound calls for MNI, here is what I would like to say when individuals like you call in claiming MNI or creditreport.com ripped you off.
If I could be brutally honest with a customer, I might say something like this:
"Mr/Ms Customer, are you stupid? Why do you think we ask for your credit card? Our website clearly states (all over the place) that you are signing up for a free trail of our monitoring service and in the process will also receive a free credit report. In fact, if you had actually read the print (and it's not even "fine print" - font is same size as other text) that is on EVERY page you must navigate through when signing up, it clearly states that YOU WILL BE BILLED for our credit monitoring service after your free trail ends. Sure, the text is not in large bold underlined print, but you're stupid if you ignored it. And yes, we have been billing you for the last four months. You didn't know this?! Do you read your monthly credit card statements? You don't?! Then you are even more stupid. We also send you an email every two weeks minimum. Do you read your email? Do you ever check your junk email? You don't?! Well, then, you deserve to be charged simply because you're beyond stupid."
I also love it when I get a phone call from a customer and they have their credit card or bank on the line, absolutely confident that I will kowtow and admit we scammed them. Once I state the facts, the cc/bank let's their client know they are responsible for the charges, not CreditReport.com. I'm sure the banker also thinks, “Stupid ###".
"So Mr/Ms. Customer, rather than blame CreditReport.com and MNI for scamming you, consider the fact that you are sloppy, and need to do a better job of looking at the “terms and conditions", especially if you are entering your CC#. In fact, since you're so sloppy and stupid, you probably need the credit monitoring service you're being charged for. Your stupidity makes you a prime candidate to become a victim of ID theft or fraud."
Ah, feels good to finally say what I've wanted to for the past month.
Oh, those who claim they have called to cancel and later found out that charges were still happening. . . consider that you may have signed up a other websites that offer the same type of service and failed to call them. I can't tell you how many people I speak with who call and are extremely upset to find out they are still being charged after canceling. However, after I ask a few questions, it become obvious that must have spent an afternoon in the past signing up at many websites, looking for credit reports, entering the CC number, etc. Idiots!
Please report this comepany to the Better Business Bureau. www.bbb.org

I purchased a credit report for $19.95 and nothing additional from them - they have charged my bank account $11.95 for 3 mo. now. Thanks for the phone # so I can stop this - it is a RIPOFF! I'm going to also file a complain w the better business bureau
I have been billed for $29.95 on my credit card for report services I did not want.

O MY GOD THEY GOT ME AT LEAST 20XS BETWEEN ME AND MY WIFE FU**** ###
Hello fellow suckers. Apparently our eyes don't work because the fine print informed us of this "service." What a scam! How do these people sleep at night? I've been charged $9.95 for the last year. Credit card company said they couldn't do anything because I didn't cancel. Reminds me of the old Yellow Pages fraud.
Im in the same boat everyone I just tried calling them and they said my SSN is not on file and then they wanted my bank info! I asked to speak with a supervisor and was denied! This company is a fraud. I had service with freecreditreport and paid them a seperate charge and then cancelled service and now Im getting charged by this company? Put me inline if a lawsuit is filed I just want what fees I've incurred back...
So, make a difference and search one of the scamers name on Google then click on the annualcreditreport.com link a few time to increase the hit count.
yea i got ###ing screwed just like you all did too...got charged 11.95 a month from oct until september...they are a ###in totally ### website they ###ing lie about everything...### freecreditreport.com...they a suck...and im pissed off as hell tooo...they suck balls...
this credit report steal all ur money !
I discontinued services on 6/18/O8 and received notice that it was effective 7/8/O8.
To date charges have have been occuring on my credit card statement!
I WANT REIMBURSEMENT FOR THE MONTHS OF AUGUST, SEPTEMBER. & OCTOBER.
Originally I had signed up with the credit report monitoring service with freecreditreport.com. Since then I have had that service canceled, but there are still charges on my credit card for $11.95 per month. The charge is from MNI Credit Report Services. I would like this stopped!
Here's the actual information. We had to cancel today. We filed a complaint with BBB and I would suggest others do the same.

I agree that this is a problem. It also happened to me. You need to call them at [protected] and they will refund your money as they have done for me. There is a recourse. Ask for Troy.
I also have been scammed by MNI for $12.95 a month for four months. These guys are crooks and need to be stopped. Has anyone wrote to the CA Attorney General? I am glad that American Express took action. Cardmembers Services of Wilmington DE has agreed only to send me information for the disputed charges.
The same thing happened to me, as to everyone else, Boy am I stupid. I would like to contact the news media and get this so called company, exposed I'll be damn I'll let these a-holes get away with this.
For anyone who hasn't been scammed by freecreditreport.com yet. Don't go there. To get a true free credit report, as required by law, go to:
annualcreditreport.com
It is the only free place to get your credit report. The government required the credit bureaus to set it up. It is not advertised because the credit bureaus don't want people to get t
MNI is ripping me off. Unauthorized access to my credit card. No way no how I will put up with this type of larceny. They hung up on me as soon as I called to complian. BBB do your job and shut down this group of thieves.
I cant believe something like this could happen. The same thing just happen to me.What a shame the things people could do to others and get away with it.
like one person said i feel like a really small fish in the big ocean. WHAT A SHAME the things company do.
I was racking my brain trying to think of what I did to get these charges. If anyone is serious about a lawsuit, I say let's go for it. I am tired of internet scandals! Email me and we can figure out how to get started! ryanjacobs74@msn.com
This is ridiculous, I wrote them an email saying I couldnt access my account. I gave them my log-in name and password and told them to CANCEL IT! and they just charged me again! DO NOT USE THIS SITE!
Idiots!
