Mountain Fork Maine Coons review: Breeder of maine coons - Kelly Sparkman

I really don't want to give Mountain Fork Maine Coons any stars! I got my 2 1/2 year old Maine Coon from Kelly Sparkman from her Cattery, Mountain Fork Maine Coons and unfortunately have had health problems with him from the start with no help from Kelly. Elton had to have FHO surgery when he was 11 months for a GENETIC hip problem and Kelly denied any of her cats over the past 16 years have had this problem. FHO surgery is a surgical procedure that aims to restore pain free Mobility to a diseased hip which is genetic in nature. After that surgery and ordeal of keeping a cat from jumping for 8 weeks... then the urinary infections started to happen and trust me when I tell you I feed only the most naturally holistic food to my cats. He had a uti with blood in his urine twice in 2019, once in 2020 and he's been at the veterinary hospital since Saturday where they are currently working to unblock his urinary blockage. He also now requires a surgery called PU which is a surgical procedure for alleviating urethral obstructions in cats with complicated or recurrent obstructive feline lower urinary tract DISEASE. This procedure can have complications and should not be taken lightly. When I told Kelly she said again none of her cats have ever had urinary problems, I call BS on that and she couldn't offer me any advice and that was it. He is having the PU surgery today. While he was at the emergency vet hospital they ran a blood test to check his heart since he has been so stressed and in pain since Saturday with the urinary blockage... Come to find out he also tested positive for heart disease! Keep in mind he's only 2 1/2 and most likely won't live a long life. Reached out to Kelly again and this time no response since I texted her a couple of hours ago. I doubt she'll respond to this either as it says Mountain Fork Maine Coons is not "claimed" anymore on this website. Please do your research before getting a Maine Coon and I would steer clear of this Cattery. Oh and let's not forget how much I have had to spend on Elton... probably around 20k in surgery's and medical care. Very sad, upset and frustrated.
