My Maid Station review: Unprofessional

I would like to share my bad experiences with My Maid Station.
I chose a fresh maid (never worked in SG before) from them in September as they assured me that all the maids in their Myanmar training centres can speak basic English and do housework. I accepted Louis's recommendation. When I picked up the maid, immediately I told Louis there that I don't think it will work as the maid just stood and stared blankly when I spoke to her, Louis insisted that she is trained and I need to give her time to adapt. The 5 weeks I had her were terrible. She not only is unable speak English, she also cannot cook or do any housework. Even after drawing out the schedule - yes I have to draw as she does not even know what is a mop, to clean, to cook etc... I have attempted to communicate through gestures ... still she got me wrong. For example, instead of feeding my child, she ate her food. .. After two weeks, I kept calling Louis for new biodata. he is full of excuses and each time after selecting a biodata, he said they are taken. Finally in early November, I chose a new maid from their biodata and returned the maid as I cannot stand having to 'mother' her. I am now served by Gerladine (in Hougang branch). I thought she will be better. I WAS WRONG. She claimed that the maid will come in early Dec . I called her on the 4th Dec, she said my application has not been approved and she promised to update me. I called again many times. Each time she said the my application is pending. On 17th I realised that she had never checked my application status as she said she will return my call after checking with the admin department. I hit the roof when she told me that application was not approved as the maid is not longer available and that I have been waiting in vain. There was nothing wrong with my application; rather the maid has decided to go to other agents. She told me to come to the agency instead to interview two transfer maids whom she think are suitable for my needs. She was totally unprofessional as upon reaching there, not only we found that these transfer maids not there (but in other branches) and they are are highly UNSUIITABLE and do not understand us at all when we spoke to them on the phone. She did not show any professionalism and was always laughing away. Yesterday Geraldine called me and told me that she emailed a new biodata of a transfer maid from the Bukit Timah branch and was told to consider quickly as there are few of such kinds... I called immediately I found out that this maid is NOT even returned by the employer yet. I have given up on them.

This agency lack professionalism and be weary of their 'promises'
