What a Rip! I had been getting plenty of e-mails titled "Process Rebates" and so I finally had the time to look into it. I thought that I had exhausted all efforts in checking this company out... until I came here. And of course I didn't get here until after I had given my credit information to them. I am currently trying to get the charges reversed with my cc company but I hope that others are very diligent in getting to this website before handing out any other info.

It really crushes a person who is looking to better themselves in the future and thinking that they may have found a solution when it all comes crashing down again when it clears and all it is is a scam!

I WAS ALSO LED LIKE A SHEEP DOWN ANGELA'S PATH INTO A VERY CLEVER ON-LINE BANK ROBBERY. THRU ANGELIA'S CLEVER LIE, EACH OF US GAVE OUR PERMISSION TO BE ROBBED

I, AND ALL OTHERS WHO GOT CAUGHT IN HER CLEVER SCAM/FRAUD WOULD LIKE TO KNOW "ASAP, " IF HER BUSINESS CREDIT CARD ACCOUNT HAS BEEN DISARMED. I CERTAINLY HOPE IT HAS.
WHILE TALKING TO MY DEBIT CARD BANK I WAS TOLD THAT AS OF 4 PM MARCH 20TH MY ACCT HAD NOT BEEN CHARGED. I HAD GIVEN THE CARD NUMBER AT AROUND 3 AM ON MARCH 19TH. I HOPE THIS IS AN INDICATION THAT SOME SOURCE HAS SHUT HER DOWN.
THE CREDIT CARD PROTECTION THAT COMES WITH MY ACCT AT MY SMALL BANK ASSURES ME THAT THEY WILL CREDIT MY ACCT IF IT DOES GET CHARGED.
I WILL BE SENDING A LOT OF INFO FROM THE INTERNET SITES TO MY BANK IN TOMORROWS MAIL.
MY HOPE IS THAT MANY OTHERS WILL HAVE THE SAME KIND OF PROTECTION.
IT IS GOOD TO KNOW ALL OF US AND THE LAW ARE SWARMING AROUND THIS FALLEN ANGEL LIKE A SWARM OF KILLER BEES.
TAKE CARE AND KEEP THE SWARM STINGING,

I feel like an idiot, , it sounded to good to be true. That should have been a RED flag! We all need to file this with FBI because the more complaints we send them the more they might look into this scam.I should have done some research on this before exposing me and my information. The best thing we can do now is to share this with every post and blog or any other information site so everyone will get this message before it is to late for them too.

Here is another rip off, just like the other complaints, if it sounds to good it will be another bad decision to go with. Coupon redemption scam, throws you to another fraud site one you didn't want, no information on the coupons. BAD choice, Penbrook Productions will not help what so ever. Do not do this!

Boy was that close. I read the ad and was so ready to sent in the $197. I need money so badly for bills and just to live and it sounded like a dream. Yet it was almost a nightmare. Good thing I googled ths company. Thanks so much for others remarks. This should be stopped immediately.

I was stupid enough to fall for this scam. Their ad was misleading, instead of processing rebates I got a course on affiliate marketing. So far Ive checked my credit card company and they have not charged me yet.

I that CareerBuilder.com would not allow any scam artist to advertise on their site, but I was wrong.
They should be reported for misleading people.
Has anyone had any luck with their credit card companies refusing payment to Pembrook?

I have done some some pretty stupid things in my day, but falling for this processing scam has to take the cake. I should have researched 1st. No one answers their phones and I have sent emails for refunds and my bank says I cannot do anything to get my money back. Really sucks!
I'm going to contact BBB and anyone else who will listen.

This reminded me of exactly why there are so many sites like this to help us! As a single mom who has recently experienced some financial issues, I had been seeking an opportunity to try and make some money from home. I decided to take a chance on the "process rebates from home" offer after reading a long, detailed pitch by supposed "single mom" Angela Penbrook. After completing the purchase process, I not only didn't get a confirmation page or receipt for proof of purchase, but I was directed to a page where all the "get started" manuals were. I downloaded one of the manuals to get started, and ran out to take care of some errands. I returned home and settled in to review the "easy" materials, only to find that instead of referring me to companies desperate for help processing rebates, they wanted me to sign up with sites so I could sell their products by taking hours and hours posting those annoying ads all over websites, and THEN deciding how much more I wanted to charge for the product so I could do a "rebate" of my own. Being aghast at this deception (but not deep-down surprised), I immediately sent an email of concern and asked for someone to contact me within 24 hours to address the issue. There was, by the way, no address or phone number anywhere in the manual that I did download, and I only got the email address after navigating back to the page with the initial sales pitch. So the assertion by "Angela Penbrook" that you'll get her personal phone number? Absolute bull. The next day there had been no contact, by phone or email, so I sent another email requesting a refund and informing them that if I did not hear from them I would dispute the charge with my credit card company. STILL no answer, and I was forced to wait until the charge posted to my card. Then I had a number to call [protected]). There was a prerecorded message with options, I chose the accounting option. I left a voicemail clearly stating my name, phone number, and concerns. About 2 days later I received a call from a woman who was "not associated" with rebate processing, but wanted to know exactly what I had to invest in my new "home-based business". I told her I was simply trying to get a refund and had no interest in her offer or this one. She gave me another number where supposedly I could remedy the situation, but it was out of order. And when I tried to contact her number to check and make sure I didn't write it down wrong, her number was out of order as well! I then went back to calling the original 800 number, but after the initial automated message, I never reached a living person or a voicemail like I did the first time, no matter what option I chose, even the tech support option. Thankfully my credit card company is actively pursuing the matter and has already taken the charge off (Thank You Capital One!), so no real harm. But stay away from this one! And check this site first, as well. If I had, I would never have had to go through all this...

I too fell victim of this scam. It did sound like a great way to make extra income and by no means lead me to believe that this was a mere instructional for clickbank.Nothing against clickbank but thatexplains itself. call [protected] and demand a refund and a confirmation #. I am also filing a complaint with clickbank. The worst was that another division called me and tried to hard sell me their prograam that goes ubove and beyond this one for 10-15K on my credit card. My true fear with this is identity theft. I am having my account # changed immediately! WOW! what a scam... no wonder she made 9mil...
Best to all...

Yep I fell for the same trick...This is a money making scheme..It is all just a fancy way of ripping you out of 200.00. If you are looking to make money online or a second source of income this is not it. I called the toll free number and the lady did not even want to talk to me.. Yep a deffinate scam.

Please don't beat yourselves up about this scam! Today is March 25, 2008 my friend girl fell vitim to this hoast. I refused to invest until I got more information on the site. I did not care if it was just $197.00 That's more than what I wanted to loose with the economy going the way it is. What I've learned from this is that they tell you it will take 24hours to give you access code to website! They are only stalling you so that you don't stop the credit card processing. I really feel bad for those who have not been able to recover there loss. I really do wish that there was something more we could do to put a stop to the scamming because everyone that I know that has gotten involved with this scam is because they went through careerbuilder for employment & got an email from Angela Penbrook. If anyone has any ideals as to how we can prevent others from gettting scam I'm with you!

I also was scammed by penbrook. I canceled the order within an hour of placing it. I have not been able to talk to anyone at the company. I filed a report with complain.ic3.gov whom handle internet fraud and scams. I am asking everyone that got scammed by them to file a report. Maybe when they see so many reports being filed they will escalate it to an agency that will do something.

I was sucked in! The thought of making money from home is something everyone in their right minds would want to do. Should have know it was too good to be true. I followed all of the directions to start making money and could not get past the first step. I did call the 800 # they provided and after holding for 15 minutes got a live person. Unfortunately this person didn't know how to help me and directed me to a website that didn't exist. I called back to the customer service number and talked to a lady who assured me I would be refunded my $197 in the next 7 to 10 business days. I will be checking with my cc company at that time. I am like some of these other people and wish I had found this site before I tried the rebate processor thing.

I sincerely feel for all of you who have fallen into this and wish you all the best in getting your money back.

There are opportunities to make money from home, you just need to do the research prior to. Many of these opportunities do require a fee in order to get set-up. The reason for this is the expense they incur in processing the request, services they provide, staffing support personnel, etc. Another reason for the fees that some people charge is due to the fact that so many people will sign up for these programs and never do anything with them. Then the company incurs any and all expense. I wouldn't let the fee someone charges deter you from looking into the program further.

The "limited availability" or "limited positions" is typically a marketing concept used to get people to act without research. Most companies will pull their advertisement once they are nearing capacity. This simply gets the immediate response from those who believe it is a "amazing deal".

Anytime someone tells you how easy something is, chances are it is not true. I personally have a program in which I am expanding and taking on part-time workers and the first thing I tell anyone is that they will get out of it what they put into it. I have concidered charging a small fee to help alleviate the cash flow issues that are brought into play with expansion and the added workload and expense. In addition to this, I can tell you there are other "legitimate" companies out there thatcharge fees (for the reasons listed above), such as United First Financial. They truly have a wonderful program, but do charge a fee. The do not, however tell you that you can "easily" make $225 in sixty minutes.

If anyone is truly interested in earning additional income from home, please click the email button on this posting and I will get back in touch with you as soon as possible. I make no guarantees that you would be accepted for a position, as I am not currently charging a fee and do not want to incur exspense for those not willing to work. In regards to the United First Financial program, I can also provide information on this, as it is a wonderful opportunity to make additional money (keep in mind it is not a get rich quick scheme).

OMG!
I have been considering this work at home rebate processor deal for some time now. I was leery and so I've done some research on this and discovered from this website that it's definitely a scam. I'm soooo glad that I found this. I read over all the privacy policies, terms of service, warranties, etc. at the bottom of the website and what raised a flag for me is when I read that they weren't responsible for losses. Losses? Why would you lose money in this situation. Well, now I know why.

Thanks again for the info! Very helpful in deed.

I too was scammed. I was looking for a little extra income, with a child in college this would be great! WOW was I wrong. I immediately emailed a request o for a refund. Several days later I recieveda response saying the refund would show up in 5-7 days. Still nothing, Iemailed again and again, the emails coming back to me with no response. I filed a dispute with my cc company. today I fanally reached someone at [protected]. She gave me arefund confirmation number and said I should see the credit in 5-7 days. This is the first and last time I will respond to any email like this. Lesson learned, I recommend you keep trying the number, eventually someone should answer. I was on hold listening to music for 20 minutes. I hope this helps someone.

Because this was advertised on a popular job search web site, it ought to have some credibility. It doesn't. this appears to be a marketing affiliation scam and I should have followed my gut when they asked for number of credit cards and limits, etc. Hopefully this is not an stolen identity scam. I will follow another's advice and notify all appropriate state and local agencies. Sham on you Angela (if you even exist).

I also fell for this scam. After I realized I was sucked in in to crap. I did call [protected] #2 and told jolene that I wanted my credit card credited she immediatly did it, she told me that I would have the money back on my card in 2-3 days and I would recieve a conf in 24 hrs. I guess I will wait and see. How sad is this, I did ask if this was false advertising and she said "yes it is" But all is well when (if) I get my money back.

Yea, this is a big time scam. I have tried calling their 800# and just get stuck on hold forever and hung up after 20 mins and never did talk to anyone. I even have sent 2 emails to them through their contact us email and haven't heard a thing. They have charged my acct and I have been requesting a refund, because their ad was nothing like they said. I am going to file a rpt with the better business bureau and I hope everyone sees what a scam this is. Shame on you Angela for taking advantage of people that want to make extra money by putting false ads out there in telling them how they can make money by processing rebates and that's not even what it is. You are nothing but a theif in my eyes!

I too got caught in the net of dishonest, deceptive business practice of Angela Penbrook or aka Penbrook Productions. She collected my $197.00 with nothing to show for - no link to get instructions (who wants them anyhow, after reading all the complaints) and no response to my phone calls. I just hope my credit card company will reverse the charge. Good luck to all of you out there who got involved with this shoddy crook. AND PLEASE, (THIS IS A REMINDER TO MYSELF ALSO), ALWAYS DO YOUR RESEARCH.

Hey guys, I too got sucked in by this lier. I just called them, in less than 10 minutes someone (seemingly overseas) answered and I got my confirmation # for the full refund in 5 - 7 days. I think the trick is to not push 2 for accounting! I just stayed on the line for the "next available operator". The # is [protected]. Call them now. I think they're pretty busy though, so be prepared to hold.

well, like most of you I was duped into joining Penbrooks big scam. My mother use to do rebates when she was still alive and made money at it. But the big difference was she mailed her rebates in.
This I should have known was to good to be true. ALL I would like to do is get the money back without the hassel. But I can see that isn't going to happen. The phone number if it is a good number must only work in a narrow window of opportunity. The must is so bad that I am sure it is that way so you won't stay on the line for very long. I have tried e-mailing them with no success. I could call her all sort of names but what good would that do, so I am out 197.00 and that hurts but nomatter who contacts me from now on it gets deleted. Do you know that in a span of 48 hours I had 26 of those rebate offers for work. So I guess if you are industerious enough you could build your own website at IwealthU.com and do this very same thing. NO THANK YOU BECAUSE WHEN SOMEONE GET MAD ENOUGH SHE WILL RUE THE DAY THAT SHE GOT RICH OFF INNOCENT PEOPLE. KEEP THE FAITH OUT THERE IN CYBER LAND.

The computer wouldn't take me into continue to get information. I tried the above address and got nothing. Tried to cancel the charge and my credit card company said they couldn't cancel until it was posted and then they could only dispute it. They said the merchant could agree to cancel, but not the merchant's bank. So in trying to get to the company, I ran into this. So I am disputing it. I want the money since they are not giving me what they promised. Also they promised if I did not make money on this my money would be refunded in three months.

I too fell for this scam. I have been trying to get in touch with someone but with no response. Some guy has been trying to call me but doesn't get ahold of me in the hours I specified. I can't believe I fell for yet another scam. I couldn't afford the $197.00 but because she made it sound so good, I went for it and now I'm gonna struggle the rest of the month because of it. I can't believe there are people out there that still prey on us hard working people and take advantage of those who just want something better. It takes all kinds I guess. I'm just mad because I have my first grandbaby on the way and now I have to struggle to keep bills paid to help her out.

I purchased this product because I thought is was actually processing rebates after reading the valuable e-book on the 1st page I realized this was the same misinformation then something I purchased in December. They way you make money is by having people by digital products and then offering them a partial refund and has nothing to do with actual reabates. And they thanked me for my order but have not responded to my request for a refund.

On March 18, '08, I debited my account $197.00 to Penbrook Productions. Being disabled I chose to earn some extra income at home using my computer. This was an ascent into hell! I paid Penbrook Productions in Irvine $197.00 (debitted my account). They were to send me a package where I would process rebates at home. At $15.00 per rebate this seemed easy enough! After I didn't receive anything I pulled their name up on the internet and lo and behold there were numerous comments of people complaining about this company. Why didn't I think to research them before hand? The only excuse I have is I was in an automobile accident and suffer from a TBI (traumatic brain injury). I called my bank and he in turn transferred me to a "higher up" and I explained my situation. He said he had their mame and phone number from me debitting my account. He then proceeded to do a 3-way call. I spoke to a woman (it wasn't Angela) who said she would refund my money. I'll post it if it ever comes thru. That's my story. This is my first computer and I was told by a friend, "told you so". I think we should file a class action law suit. Are there any lawyers out there? I'd like to mention I bank with Wells Fargo on Stockton Blvd. in Sacramento and their service is excellant.

I have also been suckered with this. There is not a thing I can add to any of the stories that would make any difference. If I can't get any help from the credit card company by disputeting the charge then its chalked up to live and learn. I'm really old enough to have known better but it just what my disabled wife needs to do from home. She just got terminated from her job Friday and this was going to be her dream job and now its a $200.00 nightmare. What a way to spend your last paycheck. We will sure sign a class action law suit or what ever it takes to help stop this kind of fraud.

I am a victim of this awful company. I invested 197.00 in February and have been trying ever since to get my money back. This company does not honor anything it has written. I was told I had 3 months to try the program and if I was not happy with it I would get a full refund, well I have been trying since. I have talked to the accounting dept and they assure me that my refund is on its way. That was about 3 phone call ago and still no money. My advise to any and all, do not fall for the so called get rich schemes on the internet, they do not work and cost a small fortune to us that can no more afford to give up that money.
