This firm contacted us on February 24th of this year. They claimed to “have a buyer for our timeshare”. The buyer was willing to pay top dollar (almost $15, 000), and all we needed to do was pay $1250.00 for a “title search, document preparation, and closing fees”. We paid the $1, 250.00 and were told to expect the completed closing documents once the title search was done. We were told the buyer had already committed to the sale.
After waiting the 2 weeks and hearing nothing, we called Premier (several times until we were finally able to get someone on the phone) only to be told the buyer had backed out last minute. We were also told that our “title search” funds were non-refundable and they abruptly brushed us off. We realized at this point we had been taken. We have since been given the run around by Premier Representatives, and no sale or follow up whatsoever.
So we began to do some research on this firm and found many others on line who have had same or similar experiences with this same firm. It turns out this company was just incorporated 2 weeks before the call we received from them. We have also searched all the addresses on the corporations of C&G Marketing Associates and the many other corporations under similar names with the same officers, and they are either private residences or mail boxes. After looking further we believe this firm was not even a licensed marketing firm in the state of Florida.
It appears (at least to us) that this is nothing more than a scam which takes advantage of people like us who wish they had never even bought a timeshare to begin with. To add insult to injury we are now scammed for another $1, 250.00 which we truly cannot afford in this economy. It is heartbreaking!
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Hey all,
Thanks for the heads up. Got a call from Julie at COASTAL PREMIER today. They have been calling my cell phone which I do not regularly give out and so screen heavily (and also have on the federal no call list). After the last attempt I googled the phone number, found this thread and was ready today when she called back today. the call went something like this:
Julie: Hi this is Julie from Coastal Premier.
Me: Oh Hi Julie. I am glad you called. Coastal Premier, that used to be Premier Timeshare Solutions right? I know this because when I entered your phone number into google after the last time you called it showed me that this is nothing more than a scam and that you are taking money from good people left and right under false and predatory pretenses. As you are calling on a phone that is listed with the Federal No Call List, I tell you what: If you take my name off your list and NEVER call back, I will not turn you into the Federal Authorities. It sounds like you have enough problems with the Attorney Generals already.
Julie: Uhm. . . Ok. Bye.
ROFL! Made my day. I hope it makes yours too!
OMG! liars and thieves they are! Premier contacted us in February of this year also, and said they had a buyer for our timeshare that was willing to pay a little over double what we paid. We had already listed with a realtor, and we should have stayed with her. We paid her $600.00 and she was going to try to get us around $19, 000(we paid just over $11, 000). We were skeptical at first and then they told us that they would be able to get our $600 back from the realtor if we listed with them because they had the power to do that. They sent us an agreement and we signed. Then we paid them $2500.00 for their lawyer to do a search for liens and judgments. There never seemed to be any problems contacting them, except for the fact that we were the only ones keeping the communication open. They never called or emailed or updated us on anything. We had to keep calling them. Then when we finally talked to someone, they said that the buyer needed an extension because their credit wasn't good. Then we called again, and they needed another extension. Then again...they found another buyer who put down a deposit and to expect an agreement or contract with this new buyer by tuesday of "next week", which was almost 2 months ago! Those ###S sure didn't waste any time sending out the agreement when they wanted their dirty fee money. My husband tried for almost 2 months straight to call and all of a sudden they weren't available, the mailbox is full, it was busy... 2 days ago I called and got no answer, so i just kept hitting redial until someone picked up. I spoke to a man and voiced my complaint and told him that we wanted our $2500 back and he said we couldn't because the contract said" if it takes longer than 120 days, the marketing fee will be refunded upon closing". I told him to take it off the market. He then told me that there never was anyone that put a deposit down, only people who were interested. So I hung up. Not even 30 minutes later I got a call from COASTAL PREMIER VACATIONS asking about our timeshare and if we wanted to list it. I said we already have a company working with us and he asked who, I said it was Premier, and he said "oh they are a company that produces for its customers. Thats a real good company, but unfortunately, we can't interfere if they are already working with you". I called Premier back and asked their affiliation and the same guy said they were not related to that company and he would get our agreement expidited to us. IF NOBODY PUT A DEPOSIT DOWN, HOW THE F!@# CAN HE SEND US AN AGREEMENT?!?!?
So I kept redialing and got customer service a woman named Myrtle, who seemed to have more info and was surprised when she found out that nobody had called us to let us know the 2nd buyer fell through, and that they didn't have an email because some former employees hacked into their computers and stole account information (they were probably victims trying to get their hard earned money back) and they didn't have a website either... the website that I just found not 20 minutes ago, along with my listed timeshare. Today I got a call from Gary at TS Luxury Group, another Timeshare marketing company. saying a family put down a deposit and thats all he knew... then why the hell call if u have no info? He was slamming Premier and stuttering and gave me a website that he seemed to just whip out of his back pocket ~~~wptvchannel5.com~~~ a news report on Premier, but look out for this slick ### too. its no coincidence that all these timeshare places would call in 2 days after our confrontation with Premier. Gary also mentioned that they think Premier is in the process of changing their name ~~Coastal Premier Vacations~~~ which would explain why nobody can contact them, by phone or computer...TS Luxury is based out of Florida too. Their phone # is [protected] and their Director of Finances is Mike Laventis or somethihng like that. Gary didn't know how his last name was spelled or pronounced...hhhmmmmm?. TSLuxuryGroup.com
WHAT WE SHOULD DO IS START A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT AND GO REAL PUBLIC WITH ALL THIS SO NOBODY GETS DUPED AGAIN!
you better believe that as soon as the sun comes up I will start calling and keep calling until some kind of resolution is reached. I'm half tempted to take a vacation to Palm Beach Gardens, Fl.
We have had the same experience. I started calling all of the numbers that people left on this site, just to see what would happen. I came up with all 'full mail boxes'. I got one person who answered. He said hello, clear as can be, then when I asked if he was from premeir time share, he said oh, me no speaka english. I said yes you do, and one of your buddy's ripped me off. He said bye now, and hung up. I hope these ### rot in hell! I have 4 kids and Christmas is right around the corner. As for the person going to Palm Beach Fl., I'm right there with you...I'd like to hunt these son's a bit*#'s down like rabid dogs. I don't know how they sleep at night!
We had a very similiar experience. They contacted us, told us they had buyers for our condos. We were very excited because we had been trying to sell our timeshares for years. When the timeframe that they gave us came and went, we could not contact them. Later on, we were contacted by a person with the company wanting us to commit even more money to "seal the deal" We could not afford any more money so we never heard from them again. Wish they could be put our of business
This company is a scam and they have closed down now. I worked for this company for a week because i thought they were scaming people but i was never sure. this company is no longer open. So if you gave them money you may never get it back
ANYONE WHO HAS BEEN SCAMMED FROM PREMIER MAY BE ABLE TO GET THERE MONEY BACK. YOU HAVE TO CALL YOUR CREDIT CARD COMPANY ABOUT THE CHARGES. THIS COMPANY IS A BIG SCAM AND THEY ARE NO LONGER OPEN. THEY HAVE CLOSE DOWN. tHEY STAYED IS BUSSINESS LONG ENOUGH TO GET A FEW MILLION AND THEY CLOSED DOWN.
I have paid them money for the sale of my timeshare and they have not sent the contract for the sale that was promised to me at the end of December. Help!
DO NOT, I REPEAT, NOT USE THIS COMPANY IN ANY WAY! YOU WILL BE SCAMMED OUT OF YOUR MONEY. BETTER TO TAKE IT TO A CASINO...THE ODDS ARE BETTER!
These people pretend to be friendly-as-a-banker towards you but are instead thieves. After many promises, phone calls - all documented - dates given as to when we could expect to see final papers, etc. nothing has materialized and NOW, their phones are disconnected! I will be contacting the Florida BBB about this and see if something can be done via the Attorney General's office.
I spoke with a representative yesterday and toady Howard Ducombe [protected] who stated that the office was closed and would not be open until Monday February 1, 2010. He will then try to get our monies refunded and I am giving him until Monday since we signed a waiver to authorize the charge on our account. BUT I am calling the cc company to let them know our situation and get their legal advise of how this will need to be handled. I hope we get our money refunded and this gentleman is honest and not like the ones I have dealth with in the past in this industry.
I know the lawyer who worked on the by-laws and helped set up timeshare contract law with RCI... In the beginning of this timeshare industry years ago. I plan to contact him again and the Attorney General's office here in Georgia as well. I spent two years putting sales organizations out of business that practices these tactics of deception and robbing people of their money with their lies... and theft practices. These give the timeshare industry a bad name! We have enjoyed our timeshares and wanted to pass this on to others who could keep on enjoying them with families like we had. Nice vacations for families with reasonable accommodations.
I wanted to see my comments from yesterday but have not sen them and hope this one gets in this time. MAB - (2) email
Back in June of 09 Premier Timeshare Soluitions contacted me about selling my timeshare for the sum of 18, 500 dollars. Whithay were goch was any thing from the prospective buyer having to return the docts to the buyer owning their own buissness and the bank having to approve the loan because of owning their own buissness thay finnaly told me that the buyers loan fell through because one of the buyers had just lost their job. Well this didn't really computen with what thay had already told me about their owning their own buissness HOW DO YOU LOOES YOUR JOB if you own it! well today I was contacted by one of their people in the processing department telling me that Premir Timeshare soluitions had gone out of buisness and that thay were contacted by the florida attourney generals office to refund my money thay also wanted me to give them my credit card # to verify that I did not give this to them and started to ask questions at this time and thay hung up on me I then called to Preimer Timeshare Soluitions and left a nasty message and at about 2:25 pm pacfic standard time I recived another call from a Mike Reese at Premire Timeshars Soluitions to conferm my suspisions DO NOT FALL FOR THIS! this is another scam! Well Mr Big bob1945. Your really something. and if you condone actions by these theives as you seem to be doing then I have to agree with the other 99.99% of victims of this company that you are either on their payroll, a close relative with financial intrests being paid as bonuses to you, which puts you in the same catagory as those we know are theives, or you are just a plain idiot. This company Premier scams over $100, 000.00 per day admitted by past employees. This has been documented and has force this fraudulen t company to close its doors. Of course once a thief always a thief. They have changed their name and are still scamming inocient victims and this is alright with you? if so then this message proves it. I don't know how you sleep at night. Get your fact straight before you open your mouth and put your foot in it. People are suffering from this scam, why do you thionk there are so many complaints all staqting the very same problem, wake up.
for help recovering these funds call 561.715.5942
Don't try to call any of the companies/numbers that are given that say they will be able to get your money back due to all the scams from the TimeShare companies, these are Fraudulent as well. They get the credit card companies to put a temporary credit on your credit card. Once they have done that they consider that as close enough to having your money back and take what ever percentage you have agreed to at that time, even if the credit card company later decides that there's not enough evidence to overturn the fraudulent company. Scamed by the Timeshare, don't be scamed by the phony lawyers, etc. They are probably the same companies!
The DOJ caught up with the people at Premier. See the indictments here.
