Rip off law firm
Cordell and Cordell claim to be a lawyer for men but they are scam artisits that will drain you of every penny you have and the second the money runs out will treat you like a bum. My case had already gone to the tempory hearing and all filing and serving I did on my own before I hired Cordell. My first attourney they gave me was Daniel Lambert who claimed my case was not complicated. I told him I did not have very much money and he assured me that should not be a problem. He then went through around 3000 in the first few weeks. Following that himself and numerous legal aids they assigned to my uncomplicated case racked up another 5, 000 and we hadent even gone to court yet. I then disgusted with the firm threatened to fire them but they tricked me into staying assigning me a new lawyer Trisha Festerling who really convinced me she cared and I thought we had an understanding I felt wronged by the excessive spending of the first lawyer. She then went on to rack up another 12, 000 and the second I fell on hard times she threatened me with a law suit for owed money and handed me off to a lawyer whos main job would be to get more money from me. We did not go to trial for placement and there was no property to divide. My case was not complicated yet Im in to them around 20, 000 and for what? They did a sub par job and treated me like garbage. Cordell and Cordell is a law firm for the rich. If you do not have a lot of money they assign you a sub par lawyer who drains you of all your money and drags your case on until you cant not afford them anymore and when that comes they threaten to sue you over back owed amounts and treat you like garbage. They take advantage of men in a vulnerable position facing divorce and give you a false sense of security that they care and they do about money. After they get all you have the care turns to contempt. If your a man facing divorce stay clear of this firm. You will be better for it.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
WARNING!!! Scam & Rip Off
My experience with Cordell & Cordell was not good and I would not recommend them! They have a great radio commercial that tells you everything you want to hear, but what I experience was far from what they promise in that commercial. They will prey on your fears. They will file mountains of paperwork with the court and opposing counsel all the while...

This client is completely inaccurate in his representation of the situation. He declines to report that his case settled as to placement issues only on the morning of trial and hours upon hours were spent preparing, including night and weekend time, for his trial. The trial did proceed on support issues resulting in one of the most successful shirking arguments with his ex-wife being imputed to $60K of income, despite having $0 income at the time of the hearing and he was awarded child support from her. He wanted free service and could never be satisfied despite the huge success.
