Selling Sick Dogs
I purchased my male Yorkie for this breeder out of Kissimmee, Florida on February 13, 2012. After having him for a week I noticed green mucus coming out of his eyes and took him to my local vet. The vet noticed that he was very anemic and did a fecal/blood test and asked for his Florida health cet or vet records, i stated that the breeder never gave me anything except his ckc papers and bill of sells. I was then asked the age of the puppy which was 6 weeks of age, the vet became telling me about the (Florida Pet Lemon Law) it is against the law for any breeder to sell an animal before 8 weeks old and that this puppy hasn't seen a vet after being born. By this time both test results came back the puppy was severely infected with hookworms/ roundworms and ear mites, and his blood levels were so low he needed a blood transfusion before he could be treated for the parasites. I contacted the breeder to see if she would help with the treatment in which she refused saying its our responsible now, I footed all of this vet's bill of $1205.00 and filed a civil suit against the breeder. On 5/14/2012 I won my judgement!. My only mistake was when I contact Osceola County Animal Control, I never stated that I didn't receive a Florida Health Certificate or Vet Records on this puppy to make a complaint about his health condition. At this time this breeder had numerous dogs Yorkie/Pomeranian and a Akita, she states that she is registered. She isn't a registered breeder. she is only registered with the county to have dogs on this mobile home property. This Women at first was very nice, understanding, friendly, But when you tell her you want your money back or you found out the dog true health condition. The Monster Comes Out! The two vets Dr. Tomes & Dr. Arums @ Summit Blvd Animal Hospital in West Palm Beach, Fl. They couldn't even get a word in to explain what they found wrong with this puppy and explain its still her responsible up to 14 days from purchase. Honestly, she was all about getting money and not the health of this dogs and now after contacting Osceola county animal control, she has another complaint on May 8, 2012 for having too many dogs on the property and states in the report she is trying to open a pet store to sell her puppies. Anyone who bought a sick puppy from this breeder really needs to make a complaint to Osceola County Animal Control about the physical health of your puppy and not having the Florida Health Certificate which verifies the puppies date of birth. Don't sign anything she gives you making you responsible.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
