Non delivery of product
I ordered a partial hairpiece (topper) on 5/5/13, the first one from this company. It is now November 2013 and I am still waiting. They responded to my first email in August 2013, some lame excuse about the quality of the hair being substandard and they had to send the whole shipment back to be remade. My more recent emails have been unanswered. Ladies, I did find a wonderful company called Fortune Wigs. They do not have lace front hairpieces but the hair quality is gorgeous and they deliver in a timely fashion. I have ordered and received two hairpieces from them since I placed my order with Zara Wigs. I don't believe I will ever receive the Zara Wigs hairpiece and will never, never order from them again.

Never got my wig, still $600 out of pocket!!
I made the mistake of ordering a $600 2 week express wig from Zara Wigs website. I live in Australia and paid via PayPal. They told me it would be longer than 2 weeks - 4 months on, I've realized it will never be arriving, and they've stolen my $600.
I call them almost every single day, international phone calls, and they still haven't issued me with a refund. I will continue to call but it's very unfortunate for me that I live in Australia and therefore have little options to get back the money they stole from me.
Their call centre operator claims that she cant issue a refund, and it would have to go through their 'consultant' - who, in a month of me calling them constantly, is never available.
Disgusting and illegal business practices. Don't give them a single cent of your money!

I order my full lace wig in Feburary 26, 2017. I called two weeks later to see if everything was going good. I spoke to Ann. Ann said they hadn't even started the order yet. Right then, I should have known this going to be bad experience. Ann told me to call back by middle of April. I told her that when put the order in Miracle told me 5-6 weeks. So why so long? Ann said, because sometime it takes longer then that time frame. I called back middle April. My order still wasn't back. This time I spoke to Miracle again. She could even figure out what was going on with my order. She said she would call me back with details. But I never heard anything back from her. I few weeks later I called again to see why my full lace wig wasn't back. I talk to Rhonda this time. She was looking into my order. Same thing as with Miracle. She couldn't found out anything either. After this conversation with Rhonda. I had to called 5 more times still nothing. I ask for a refund because this does take this long to figure what happen to my order. Now I ask for a refund middle of June 2017. Now it July 18, 2017
I get a call from Angela. Stating that we will return your money but I don't know the exact date will you be receiving it. DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY. ALL YOUR GOING TO GET IS A HEADACHE AND LOT OF UNNECESSARY STRESS YOU DON'T NEED..!

Waiting for 13 months
You will never believe my story with Zarawigs. I ordered my wig 13 months ago! They got it to me 3 months later not even the measurements that I ordered, the custom made unit was an entire inch shy at the hairline, So I had to send it back to get the hairline fixed and and have them add more density. I had placed an order for thickest density they offer, light to med heavy. It was perfect in the previous wig they sent me. This one however, came in medium throughout. So I drew in my hairline with an eyeliner as they prescribe and sent request for thicker density. For weeks and months I called asking where my wig was, they say we havent' heard. Then Jeanette, says they are rebuilding it, so much to do with it they were just remaking the whole thing practically, still using the original unit but taking out baby hairs and adding more of the other to get the size right. So Finally I get it back, get this "6 months later!" It arrives and my home and I'm so excited, I open it up wash and set my hair try it on and guess what, the hairline is exactly the same as it was before I sent it back. One entire inch shy, still too wide in the forehead, it was literally like they took it and washed the liner off that I had drawn on, put it on a shelf and sent it back to me 6MONTHS LATER. Oh and how about the density? EXACTLY AS IT WAS THE FIRST TIME they sent it out to me! Since all this has been going on every time I call and actually get Jeanette on the phone she appears to be annoyed as though I shouldn't be bothering them. EXCUSE ME? So once again I send the wig back with the new return form and thank God I had the original return form on hand so I photo copied and highlighted all the requests and it was painfully obvious that NOTHING had been done. 2 months later when I asked why I hadn't gotten any confirmation that they'd received the wig back, she doesn't know where it is! A couple days later she tells me they just discovered it sitting at the post office and would send it to China to fix again. Did I mention I sent a hand written letter to the owner, Miracle, cc to Michell, to make them aware of my total experience and I haven't heard one word in response going on 4 months now. I'm just glad I have all of this documented and photographed. They even had me send my previous unit in with it so they would have a density guide for the new wig maker that they now are using. So now I am out two wigs. The sad part is I still have a credit with them cause I put money down to use for my next wig. All I can say is WOW! I choose not to submit a complaint all this time, but hello, ONE YEAR? People deserve to know who they are dealing with. I'll tell you that the first two wigs even though they took 3 months each which never tell you that, rather its supposed to take 6-8 weeks according to their website. In spite of that, though, I liked them cause they had EXCELLENT customer service. Kate was the most informative helpful lovely, patient person I'd ever had the pleasure of dealing with, I had so many questions and she had time and answers for all of them. If I called she returned my call withing hours or at the most the following business day. I sure have missed her! Good luck People> And please, if you have had a bad experience let us know, take the time and let your fellow consumers know. I wish someone would have shared with me. Hope this helps... P.S. STILL WAITING!
Sorry Hannah that last note was addressed to you but meant for Hattie. Zara used to be the Best! But now :(
Hannah, so sorry I never get on these message boards but had to learn how to use them in order to write my much needed complaint. So it has been a while. I'd love to hear how your wig is going. I spent alot of money buying fillers while waiting for my units. I just received that very unit yesterday and last night after I washed my hair to try it on at 1 am i was again brokenhearted. I wrote on this message board you can find it. 16 month later and still no hair. I'm disgusted, because you know what, they were the best of the best.

BCar, I think it is time to go to the BBB. I called on them when dealing with my fiasco and that was the only thing that got their feet to move. Although I was NOT satisfied with the resolution, I got one to say the lest.. I learned with them, only the squeaky wheel gets the oil. Buyers need to be warned that despite their well maintained website, they are not providing the same service they once had. They used to be the Gold Standard. Now I wouldn't order a comb from them.
I ordered a wig from the atlanta salon and the wig i received was NOTHING like the one i originally ordered off the site. Not only was it expensive, the hair matted and tangled like crazy. The salon owner swore that it was the same wig, but the color and texture was COMPLETELY different. I traveled quite a distance for this service and was not satisfied with the product. The wigs are beautiful online, but totally different in person. I will never shop here again.
Was a long time customer of Zara. No longer am though. For years I ordered from them with no problems, superb customer service, and they even threw in a few extra perks. However, as of 2010, the service and product quality has greatly diminished. I ordered a custom wig in March and NEVER received it. After months of calling and basically harassing them, I was given a replacement wig in September that was NOT what I wanted, but it was a consulation for my wait. That could be considered good business but the crap I had to go through just to get that was unsettling to say the least. I am so sad at the complaints I read about Zara now because they once were the BEST of the BEST but now I can not trust them. I really hope they read these reviews and revamp the way they are doing things. I still send customers their way but with a huge BUYER BEWARE because it hit or miss with them. You MAY or MAY NOT get what you ordered and they WILL be rude about it and AVOID your phone calls. So purchase at your own risk.
B-Car, thank you for that review. Your review along with several I read elsewhere help me to understand the level of risk I may be taking by purchasing a wig with Zara wigs. I really hope that I can come back here and write a happy, satisfied, raving review, but at this point, I am somewhat concerned. On October 1, I went into the store at Eastmont mall and with the help of a very helpful, patient, and knowledgeable sales woman I placed an order for a custom wig. More than week after that (about the 9th), I received a call and was told my order hadn't been processed because they needed to clarify the kind of cap i wanted. I was confused as to why they didn't understand my original cap choice because it was on the order form but I again asked questions about the caps and I had now supposedly chosen the cap that would ensure my wig would arrive quicker (was told it would be ready within 3 weeks). Fast-forward to today, I called the Zara store (November 5) to ask about the status of my custom wig. The woman said my wig was sent to production on the 20th of October! I couldn't believe what I was hearing! She said she would send an e-mail somewhere to find out what is going on and inform me about the situation, so before I get too disappointed, I will wait to hear what she has to say. Maybe everything is on track and hopefully so because I really need the wig soon. But I'm starting to get a little scared now. I really do love the staff over there at the Eastmont store though. I hope this all works out well without too much more confusion.
I've shopped with Zara Wigs for years and have always been very happy with the results. Janette is great in particular - she's even called me back after hours to make sure everything was on schedule and going well. I bought a wig recently that took a little longer than usual, but they just had to do some revising to get it to the right quality. I hope things work out for you. I'm thrilled with each of the purchases I've received from them. They've got a great team there.

I have alopecia. I ordered a unit from them about three years ago and had no problem. I ordered another lace unit in april of 2014. I reached jeannette about two months later to inquire when i'd be receiving my wig. I was told that it was the busy season and i'd be receiving it in about three months. Well, after four months i sent an email. I got no reply. I've been emailing as the site still appears to be up and running. It's now been over a year and here i am, $450 later, with no lace front unit. It's very difficult to find places that have good wigs. As an alopecia sufferer i want something that looks like my hair and to make me feel good with a condition that is so traumatic. It's unthinkable that a company would do this to people. I really want my money back.
