To Principal Russell Moon and President Alden Pinnell of Skinceuticals, Inc.: I am writing to let you know that I have been using your skin care line for six years. Just recently, May 4th, 2007, I have tried for the first time, the gel peel/sm on my own skin to test out the product before using it on my clients. I had a frightening reaction to to this peel which made my skin frost in less than five seconds, I immediately removed it with cold compresses. On the product it states that it can be used on sensitive and acneic skins. I find that this information is misleading and dangerous to the consumer. The entire weekend I had to gauze my face and use ointment to try and save my skin. I called your customer service representative and they were not helpful nor sympathetic to my skin's reaction. My main concern is that this product can cause severe injury to someone's skin and as a professional for the last 15 years I have never seen nor had anything react so painfully to myself or anyone else. I will be sending the product back and hope that the staff you have answering your calls will have a little more compassion that what I received on the phone. Because of this incident and the time consumed in dealing with all of this, I will no longer buy or refer anyone to purchase your products.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I've had problems with irritation from a SkinCeuticals product Phloretin CF - it caused welts on my skin lasting several day. This product was bought from a professional dermatologist and cost $150. Their advice and the advice from SkinCeuticals is to stop using the product. No refund. Ripoff.
Customer service is horrible. It was stated that processing times have been delayed to 3-5 business days. It has been 7 business days and they still cannot tell me when it will ship. My credit card was billed on the day the order was placed. Needless to say, the costs of their products are extremely high, although I do love them. I tried to cancel my order and they could not because it was "processing". Honestly, this internal issue is really NOT my issue. Poor poor business processes
