Here's a good one. I've seen numerous other complaints about this Support Squad group here, so here's what happened to me. I signed up for Verizon high-speed Internet service and home phone in December. Verizon's sales rep sells me the $9.99 a month Support Squad service and tells me its a good idea to have it for the first 3 months so if I have any problems they can help me. After that he recommends I cancel it. Seems to make sense so I go for it. I give my bank acct info to VERIZON, never contact or am contacted by any representative of Support Squad in any way.

Fast forward a few months, I'm still paying Support Squad, kinda forgot about it, and suddenly in April they bill me on the 22nd when I was just billed on March 31. This annoys me tremendously as you might imagine, so I dig further in my checking acct to find that this payment has never occurred twice on the same day of the month. One is on the 8th, one the 1st, one the 31st, now one three weeks after the last one.

So I figure OK, I'm not going to stand for this, and I call Verizon to get the information for Support Squad to call them and cancel their shady service. To my shock, Verizon denies all knowledge of Support Squad and claims they never sold this service to anyone! Then I get a manager who "suggests" that I Google search Support Squad. Seriously? You sold this to me, then later found out this company isn't entirely legitimate, so now Verizon is going to deny all knowledge? Is this how one of the largest communications companies in the country should behave? I wasn't even asking for Verizon to cancel or refund anything. I just wanted a phone number for Support Squad and they wouldn't even give me that.

If anyone out there is involved in any kind of legal action against either of these bodies related to this please contact [protected]@yahoo.com. I am extremely upset about the way this played out, if there's a lawsuit I'd like to join it.

Support Squad charged my credit card $9.99 for 6 months. I had no idea. I rarely check my statements. I will from now on. Anyhow, that's how I found about the fraudulent charges. Support Squad claims that they are dealing with our internet service providers. I called Comcast and they said I should report Support Squad because the they had never heard of them|. I decided to report them to the Better Business Bureau and we went back and fourth|. Support Squad credited my account for only $9?.99 and the Better Business Bureau asked me if I was satisfied with that and I said No Way, that I wanted all my money back?. I told the Better Business Bureau to check Support Squad online for other people complaints on fraudulent charges because I am not the only one being scammed|. I suppose Better Business Bureau did and fought for me because I just received a check for $39, .96 from Support Squad/. So, they still owe me $9.99. Everyone out there going through this should report Support Squad to the Better Business Bureau. It is worth it. We need to fight back. Please don't let these jerks keep our hard earned money. Thanks all!
