I saw this TryTacLight commercial on TV and decided to ordered one of their flashlights. I thought that since these people even had a TV commercial that they were trustworthy and reliable. I feel so stupid that I believed them and so easily fell for their scam!
Ordered my item back in mid April and was supposed to get it in max 3 weeks, but it is already June and still no sign of my order. Every time I contacted TryTacLight they assured me that there was nothing wrong and that my order was on its way and they keep doing that!
3 weeks passed a long time ago and I doubt that I'll ever get anything!
I ordered the product via an offer from Publishers Clearing House. The offer was that the product was free, we only had to pay shipping cost of $6.95. There were no other terms or conditions listed.
I paid the $6.95 on December 15 on my credit card and this sum was paid to a company called ShowersForYou.com and we received the product on December 30. However, the same day I received the product I got an alert from my credit card company that ShowersForYou.com was trying to collect $111.45 and they gave me a telephone number to call and dispute the charge.
I called the telephone number which belongs to TryTacLight.com and the customer care person insisted that the condition on the website stated we had 15 days from payment date to cancel the order or pay the full charge of $111.45 which was being charged for a life time warranty. When I informed him that there was no such condition when I purchased it, he insisted that on "their" website the full terms and conditions were listed.
When I asked them to send me a pre-paid shipping label to return the product, he refused - their company does not pay for shipping.
Yesterday my wife called them again and another person came on line and gave us the same story that their website gives the full terms and conditions. When we pointed out that the product was only received after their 15 day period had expired, his only comment was that was the Company policy. He then offered us a 50% discount on the $111.45.
It is my opinion that this Company sells its products under different website addresses and this is a Bait and Switch operation. BEWARE !
