University Alliance - Florida Institute of Technology review: Tuition shake down and scam!

I elected to attend Florida Institute of Technology online to complete my CIS degree. I attended for one semester and found the technology used to grade my homework totally dysfunctional. Myself and several other classmates complained repeatedly but the response time from our student advisors and Professors was so slow that by the time we heard back we were in the nonrefundable period of the semester. We were constantly reassured that our work would be graded manually due to glitches in the automated system but it never was. When the semester ended I was pressured by my student advisor to quickly enroll for the next semester before the class filled up. I reluctantly agreed then realized 3 days later that due to launching a new business and having a baby I wasn't going to have the time to devote. I withdrew at the beginning of the semester and was told I would receive a full refund. I was also told if I return my books I will receive a full refund for those as well since they were unopened and unused. A month went by and I never saw the refund on my card so I contacted the student advisor to inquire about my refund. The student advisor - Amanda Parent - informed me that I have already been issued a refund and that refund has been applied to my student account. She then informed me that thanks to that refund I now only owe the school $390...EXCUSE ME? I dropped all classes and returned my books unopened within 3 days but you're claiming I owe you almost $400...for what? This company is a scam and I cannot imagine why an institution such as Florida Tech would have anything to do with them! All University Alliance tries to do is force you to enroll in classes you over pay for and buy books at a 400% mark up! Then as soon as you try to get away from them they come up with some excuse as to why you owe them money! I'm appalled and disgusted by this organization and I recommend you run as far away as possible!
