Re: Vox Telecommunications

Erroneous billing

We change our wifi service mid July to a lesser package of R599 per Vox quote Q2288906 . We accepted this. All done on their portal. This is where the trouble started as, for the next three and a half months, we were billed for only R120 pm. Then came the shocking invoice near the end of October: additional R2827. This was worked out at R839 pm extra. Add the previously in error invoice of R120 and it came to the original amount of R959 - not R599.

The arithmetics for this invoice should have been easy: R599 less the R120 already invoiced (R479) x 3.5=R1676.50. In other words the R2827 invoice was R1150 too much. We had the account audited and paid what we were advised to pay (and a bit more).

After we complained a credit of only R486.73 was passed (not R1150) and we were correctly invoiced at R599 for November thereby acknowledging the agreed amount.

We demand the correct credit of R1150, in other words an additional R663.27. Vox demands R342, but if the correct credit is passed we will have a credit of R321.

We refused to pay and our service was suspended.

After many calls (none returned) to Me Patience Ntsangase ( without any patience ) we are still suspended. We can only wonder if there really is such a person because she is never available.

Hellopeter - Please worn other users (and potential users) of Vox - about their incompetency and bad bookkeeping. The demand of R342 is ridiculous and a form of blackmail.

From July - Nov 2022
