They bought my credit balance from Providian a Washington mutual owned company I have no complaint about Providian other than they gave my account to the idiot/crooks or whatever they are at SST. My first payment of $77 was due on may 13the and I paid it but today I get a call that I am $177 dollars past due and they have racked up about $100 in penalties. These guys make the IRS blush. A quick search on the net tells me that I have stepped on a land mine and am off to the bank tomorrow to get a home equity loan so I can cut this cancer out of my life. I feel very sorry for people who find themselves in this situation with out the resources to deal with these predators. You have to wonder how they can operate with so many complaints, but then Georgia may allow this sort of behavior. Please somebody start the class action suit.

I can not believe all I am reading. I knew something was up the second time they they claimed they didn, t receive my husband, s payment on line, when I know I payed it. My husband, s providian account was also sold to this fraudulent company. I went on line thursday may 3rd and made a payment for may4th. I always check my bank account to see was has been withdrawn, guess what, they haven, t withdrawn the money yet. I went online today to see if it was counted for, I couldn, t get on. The first two times like a dummy didn, t print out the payments, but have every payment since. I have proof I made the payment! Someone called for my husband this morning and I have a sinking suspicion it was them! We will see how this turns out!

I finally paid off my entire balance to these sharks on 3/24. Over the years they have lost my payment and charged me so many late charges that I am eager to be rid of them. I just called them today 4/8 and they have not received it. They acted like I had made a mistake. They are parasites. I feel sorry for the poor souls who have sacrificed their integrity in working for them. I will soon be done with them. Yay!

OMG I am so infuriated right now, I have been going rounds with this company for over a year now! The original balance that WAMU sold to SST was 616.00 now a year later and 512.00 in payments my balance is 987.00!

What crooks! I have cried, screamed yelled, made complaints to the FTC etc etc their "dialer" calls me 4-9 times a day! Just last sunday I had 6 missed calls from 5pm-8pm!

I dont know what I can do, do I just pay them and put up with it? I tried to get them to settle for around 400 which would bring me to having paid over 4x's the original debt! and they said no...

This company SUCKS! Imagine having a credit card that does not give you an increase. My account was transferred from Providian about 3 years ago to SST. My payments are always on time and I pay way above the minimum amounts. When I queried about an increase they told me that they do not give increases. What a shame! How do they expect people to build their credit? With such lousy service, I beginning to not want anything more from them.

I try to pay this account as I use it. Perhaps that is why I have not had any problems with them as far as late fees and penalties. However, everytime I log into their account to make a payment,
It lets me pull up my front page, I choose the payment option and it takes me to the http error page 404. I have to retry to log-in again. Sometimes it only happens once and I am able to make my payment. Other times, it's twice or more. Very ANNOYING.
One has to wonder if it is intentional. Maybe they want me to get so annoyed I will forget to pay and they will rack up the late penalty and the finance charge.

After reading all the complaints, I do believe that is their game plan. By the way, I found all these complaints today due to the fact that I have been trying to login all day and all I get is the error page. Up to today, I had thought it was my computer that was somehow faulty. I for one will now stop complaining and write a letter to my congressman & the BBB.

All I want to say is that SST is the most idiotic company I have ever had to deal with. They're crooks. There site is down and they want to charge me a $10.00 fee to pay my bill? have they lost there freaking minds?

It is the worst credit company I have ever had to deal with in my life. Big mistake that Providian did. When I am done paying this off I am cancelling for sure.

Well after many attempts to contact sst, not only to change my interest rate, to also change my address by phone because my payments are automated, I have contacted my bank and stopped payment for 6 months on my sst account. Perhaps I will hear from them. Too bad I have never had late payments. But after weeks of printing out these complaints, I am in the same situation and they too bought my Providian account. I never had any problem contacting them. I will be sending this to the att. general to see what can be done. Maybe calling a l;ocal news station to have them exppose these business practices would be helpful.? Anyone else attempt this yet?

I have the same as every one else they are charging me 30% int i sent a payment the same time i sent a nother charge bill and they posted 1 week b4 they said i was late and charge me a late fee and my interest went up I will pay if off and get another charge that is honest business. MH
