Green Shield was fabulous to work with. They were very timely in starting our deck repair/rebuild project. All the workers were very professional and left the sight picked up at the end of each day. Their workmanship was meticulous. After completion we discovered a couple areas that needed to be secured more and they were timely in getting out to fix them. I would highly recommend this company and would use them again for home improvement projects.

Green Shield Deck Builders' crew finished our deck yesterday and it's fantastic. Though it was a bit pricy, it was so worth it! The decking material is the best composite I researched and the aluminum rail is beautiful. The three-man crew of John, Mike, and Sarah were real pros not only in their workmanship but also their attitude! I would highly recommend giving Green Shield a shot at earning your business as I couldn't be happier!

We were looking for an organization that could handle every aspect of the project professionally, from the sales presentation, to construction, to the final walk through. Green Shield delivered. No exaggerated claims, no overly aggressive schedules, no excuses for not showing up, or ignoring schedule commitments or poor craftsmanship. The project was completed in 5 1/2 weeks (from contract signing to final walk-through) with craftsmanship that exceeded our expectations. The project was not cheap but it was worth every penny. Outstanding experience.

Great experience very thorough from planning to completion of our new composite deck. Follow Up with personnel coming out to our home and inspecting the craftsmanship and Installation of our new composite deck was very reassuring, the crew that installed the deck was very kind and considerate. We look forward to having a yearly inspection, as this is a service they provide and guarantee. we've been looking into other companies for a couple year and very satisfied with Green Shield Home Improvement. would recommend this company. We could not be more satisfied, especially the quality of the work involved. The three main young men who did the work were fun to be around and didn't mind my questions. A special shoutout to John, a very nice young man. I am very sure the value of the property has gone up as well as most minimal maintenance I will need to do. At 70 years old you don't feel like power washing and staining every couple of years. We ran into Greenshield at the home show and decided they got the job. From the initial visit by the Green Shield rep., we were confident we made a good choice for Green Shield to replace our worn out wood deck. When November came and it was cold, rainy, and snowy, we wondered about getting a good job done and the quality of workmanship. The crew headed by John worked diligently everyday despite the weather. They were considerate, polite, informative, knowledgeable. and very, very nice young men. When the deck was done, we were so happy with the workmanship and the look of the deck. We can't say enough about how very happy that we chose Green Shield Home LLC.

I had a deck installed and it was an absolute awesome experience with the teams at Green Shield. I felt like they kept me informed of the status all along with way... Install started during March, so it can be tricky with the weather. The 'A Team' (awesome guys installing), came out, endured the horrible conditions, and installed! Then the railing, then the wrapping of the posts... i can say enough about this network of great employees at Green Shield... I would highly recommend them for the quality work they do, but also for the quality product they have. I'm thankful for the 'Life Time Warranty'. Great job!

We had Green Shield replace our wooden deck with beautiful composite decking. The installers were very considerate and kept us informed every step of the way during installation. Any issues that came up were addressed promptly. We appreciated the final walk through at the end of deck completion too. From office staff to installers GS has great dedicated employees that take pride in the work they do. We were so impressed with GS that we are now having them install our front entryway door. We would highly recommend Green Shield Home improvement. If we could give a higher star rating we would. Thank you Green Shield!

Excellent workmanship, installation, tear down of existing stairs, quality of composite decking material and aluminum handrails. Professional, polite crew. A pleasure to work with the team assigned to our project. Great follow up after completion of project to confirm all done to our level of satisfaction. Recommend highly. We are very particular with home renovation projects and contractors hired and this team did not disappoint. This very challenging project was started and completed during the month of January! Wonderful experience from estimate to completion. The installers were very professional and dedicated to making every detail as perfect as possible. The quality of the materials was amazing. About a month after the project was completed, I noticed a few small spots that caught my eye from a cosmetic perspective and I called the project manager to see what could be done. The next day, their man showed up and took all the steps to make everything perfect and even more beautiful than before. This deck was the most worry free home improvement project I've ever done. Thanks to everyone at Green Shield ! Highly recommend!

Deck quality and craftsmanship is top notch. Project planning and communicating between the customer things like next steps is very poor. We had one bad event where the initial schematic drawing was conveyed as a rough draft and that we would have another opportunity to finalize it, because we didnt like the steps and asked for a specific setup. Ended up finding out during the process no such opportunity existed and the rough draft was final and they did not include the customer in their internal final design phase. So if youre planning on anything beyond a great deck and wanted additional things to customize or utilize then get all your ducks in a row before you go with them cause they dont provide much effort in the design phase with the customer.

Highly recommended. Sales person was very patient and explained everything in detail. Yes you could find cheaper but they are worth it in up front sales, materials everything they said they it would be including the workmanship of the installation. To be completely honest I was waiting to be disappointed, I have not had the best experiences with contractors in the past. The deck came out beautiful and any issue that wasn't 100% to our liking they tweaked it till it was perfect. They also installed a special order window, they even cleaned the glass after installation. I must also mention that they did a lot of little extras with a smile and no extra cost. In conclusion we saw a few things on our deck a week or so later that we didn't notice at first and they came out right away and did a great job making it perfect...Thanks Green Shield Deck Builders!

Green Shield replaced and extended our old 12 x 12 pressure treated deck, with a new 12 x 27 composite deck in Fall 2021. We had a few communication concerns in getting questions answered and information regarding the schedule early on, but once the materials were delivered and the crew arrived, everything else was fantastic. The crew, led by Jayson, provided exceptional craftsmanship and attention to the detail in all aspects of the build. The kept us involved and allowed us to provide additional input on trim details with the stairs and facia. After completion, they instructed us to let them know if we discovered any issues or concerns. We did notice a couple issues with a damaged deck board and the railing installation, both which they promptly addressed and resolved. Overall, we are very happy with the finished project and I would confidently recommend Green Shield Home to others for their projects.

We signed up for a quote for a deck, doing our due diligence getting at least 3 quotes for our project. After a two hour sales pitch (not kidding), which the other didnt feel the need to do because their work speaks for itself. Tito ran through a vague presentation, more so highlighting who he thinks the competitors are but we didnt care about. When I asked for him to present me with TruNorths manufacturer warranty so I could see what possible issues they have he didnt have it. He said they have been in business for 18 or 20 years? The articles of incorporation seem to think its only been 3 years since they became a business and there was what appears to be a name change in that 3 years from Aegis Home Safety and Retirement. Sounds sketchy, and even if the quote came in at a normal range they would not have won our business. We were quoted by two other companies who have both been in business LONGER with equal reviews. One came in at $37/square foot, the other at $53/square foot, and (wait for it) Green Shield quoted us $161/square foot for a standard 35x14 rectangle deck with a walkway 30x5 along the house. What a joke. My husband asked Tito if TruNorth boards were 4x the cost of the others and he said NO. So why on earth would you be thinking a 661 square foot deck would be priced at $107,000? It was obnoxious and has been the joke of many conversations with friends and acquaintances alike. Thank you for giving me something to laugh and joke about for years to come, Tito!

Great Product, but expect a LONG wait. Read below for Details:We had Green Shield install a deck in our backyard which turned out great. High quality product with high quality materials that will last a lifetime. Yes, you will always pay more for a composite deck compared to a wood deck, but the time saved in not having to restain wood, replace rotted boards, etc makes it worth it in the long run.The only reason I am giving 4/5 stars is because I dont feel Green Shield was quite as transparent upfront as they could have been on the installation timeline. We signed a contract on June 9, 2022 and our initial installation estimate we were given verbally was mid August. After mid August came and went, I decided to reach out via email and see if I could get an update on when the installation will take place. I found out that the installation was still another 6-8 weeks out and was told by a project manager that Green Shield aims for a 90-120 day (3-4 month) installation on all their projects. Given this, if this is their standard (which was not communicated to us up front), we probably should have been told mid September-Mid October from the get go would be a more realistic installation time frame in the original verbal estimate given.Ultimately, our deck was finally installed and completed on November 10, 2022 meaning that from date of signed contract to installation was a 5 month wait. Perhaps other customers are also waiting 5 months for installation? Given that installation took 5 months to happen, unfortunately, we will not be able to truly enjoy our deck as we had hoped till next year as the nice summer and fall months have came and went.So just an FYI to set realistic expectations for yourself and with Green Shield upfront given our experience if timely installation is an important consideration factor for you in choosing a contractor.Despite the longer wait in installation then we would have liked, the deck was installed well and looks awesome.

Unfortunately, we did not have such a good experience with Green Shield Home as we were hoping. We were looking to have a standard sliding glass door installed in an exterior wall. The process of the install started at the beginning of August when we signed the contract. (This is now the second half of January 2022). We got several quotes, and while a bit more expensive than the other ones, we decided to go with GSH over other bids for three reasons: Firstly, their completion time was quoted as beginning and finishing much sooner than any other company would be able to even begin the project, (this was very important to us as we had events pending on the completion of this project) secondly, because of their cheerful attitudes and quick response time regarding returning calls to schedule coming to give a quote, and, our final reason was because of their complete warranty promise. We signed the contract and were told that someone would next be coming the following week to come take specific measurements and get the order started. That's when things started to go awry. I waited nearly three weeks and finally had to call GSH myself to ask when someone was going to come out because I had tasks I needed to schedule outside the home and I could not continue to be on "standby" waiting for them to make an appointments to come measure things. Someone finally came at the end of August. Before August was over, we received an email forwarded to us from GSH's supplier informing us that the lead times on the project would need to be extended by a specific number of days due to supply chain issues. No problem there - we totally understood. The big problem came when that email was the very last time GSH ever tried to contact us. The quoted time for the project came and went. The additional lead time came and went. It was a full month AFTER the additional lead time when we initiated a phone call to GSH to find out what was going on and what was holding up the communication. It took being bounced back and forth to many different people in the company (with us initiating the phone call to each person) and with no one wanting to give straight answers before we learned that it was going to be at least an additional month beyond where we currently stood before we would be able to even begin the process of scheduling the installation and that they had no intention of notifying us of any of these changes nor did they intend to compensate for the lack of communication or additional time needed beyond what was notified. The quicker install was obviously defunct. Communication from their end was practically null after the contract was signed. And with such a history, we have NO assurance that their "warranty" would be worth anything if anything on our pending install were to fail. At this point, we recognized that GSH was well outside the time table scope of our signed contract and requested a refund of our deposit. We were assured that we would be mailed a check by the end of the week. We checked daily all week but no check arrived. It had never been written or mailed. This prompted us to initiate yet ANOTHER communication where we were assured that a check would be dropped it off at our door that day. The check did arrive finally however we wish our experience had been different. We wish that communication had been more thoroughly manifested and that it had not fallen to us to need to follow up and initiate 90% of all communication after the contract was signed.
