When we arrived at the restaurant at 11:15 for my birthday dinner, the hostess asked for how many. We told her two. My husband is using a cane and she took us to the farthest table from the doorway and one that we had to step up to get into booth instead of a table on the level floor. He wouldn't be using a cane just for SHOW! His balance in stepping up and down places has not improved 100% yet. There were only 3 tables/booths taken. Please train your hostesses to pay attention to the handicapped customers and treat them with respect.
Our waitress was friendly at first. We ordered sandwiches and salad as our side and requested the salad before sandwiches and she did that. When our sandwiches came, it had a whole plate full of salad - we did not order second salads. It left no space to eat our sandwich on our plate. We had requested extra napkins and were given one each. This happend twice. She asked if I wanted more water and I told her in a few minutes. She never did bring the drink. When she returned with the bill, we mentioned it to her and she told use we needed to tell what time we wanted the drink brought! We did not receive a ticket to keep after the payment was made. She walked away with it. She is not a new employee, has been there a couple years.
Please go over the methods brought to your attention with your staff and hopefully next time things will be better. I will be prepared to let the waitress know exactly what time I want a refill. As far as seating, I don't know how to handle that because when we asked for a different one, she said she couldn't but then the next couple got one closer and on the level floor.
