Raphael's School of Beauty Culture. - Had to transferred to another school

DO NOT attend this school! They are very unprofessional and most of the staff there are rude and have ego problems. If you question their authority or there decision making you will be punished with suspension. The admissions girl, Breanna lied to me about a teacher that had bad reviews working there. The teacher is still there. Miss Bree is the manager/teacher and she has the biggest ego problem. She will talk down to you like you're her child and if you question her she will say you are combative and suspend you without giving you a warning or a write up. She gave me a 5 day suspension for questioning her. After talking to HR that lady threatened to give me a 30 day suspension/expulsion on my first offensive for using 1 cuss word and telling them I was going to go above them because they didn't want to hear my side of the story. Miss Bree will talk down to you in front of clients and snatch tools out of your hands making you look like you don't know what you're doing and it makes the clients feel uncomfortable. Miss Bree also allowed another teacher to bring a baby to school while she was working all day.

There is no structure to their teaching. You basically teach yourself and they say you are certified after 1 week of coloring, hair cutting, nails etc... and they will put you on a client even if you don't feel comfortable. If you refuse they send you home. They don't care about you're education, all they care about is the money. I was there 1 month and I transferred out along with another student. Also a teacher quit because she didn't like how the school was ran.

This school is a joke/scam. Do not attend classes here, you will regret it! Also I wouldn't recommend anyone to be a client there. They let students cut and color hair that do not yet know what they are doing.

Claimed loss: l lost money on my Pell grant due to their unprofessional and lack of management

Raphael's School of Beauty Culture. - Receiving highlights

I got highlights here about 3 months ago and there was no instructions available to give any support to the student that was doing my hair! I am a licensed cosmetologist yet retired. I tried to explain to the student that she was not doing my hair properly and nothing was done about it. They definitely overcharged me and did not do many parts of my hair. I paid for a toner after highlights but it was so awful I had to go home and redo my hair by myself! I found the staff to be very rude and unprofessional! Since I'm retired I tried to return months later to get highlights within one week I was told three different prices, the first time I went my hair was much longer and I was charged $76, after cutting more than half of my hair off I figured it would be much cheaper since my hair was short. When I returned I was turned away because I was told no one was available. Second time I returned again nobody available to do my hair. The very last time I returned which was today September 7th the instructor tried to charge me the same price that I paid when my hair was much much longer! I explained her in detail that when I came in the last time I was given a set price, she tried to tell me that the students don't know the prices and that they were wrong. However I told her that it was not only the student that gave me the price but instructor was there as well. She continued to argue with me and wanted to charge me $70 for highlights for hair that is above shoulder length. She was extremely rude and very unprofessional! This place used to be nice but I have to say it is very ghetto now! The colored woman with long braids is horrible. I went to a professional salon after leaving there and the price difference was only $3 more. I don't see how this place will stay in business with such poor management and horrible service! Definitely reported them to the Ohio license board. I went there in the first place to try to save money, I will never ever do this again rule of thumb you get what you pay for. But I am now having my hair done for $3 more from a professional and not a student!

Desired outcome: There is no outcome you could give me I would never return to this horrible establishment it is totally ghetto!
