I started to purchase AAA insurance on my house and car. They started with the car and then the house. The Car insurance jumped slightly during the process and the house insurance jumped through the roof from the quote done the day before. I had given them all required data the day before so nothing new was entered. I cancelled the deal but they still electronically debited my bank account. They sat on it for a week and then said they were mailing a check. Unacceptable! This is plain old bait and switch and operating in bad faith! It took a week of phone calls both to the local agent and the corporate office to finally get a refund mailed. They said they didn't have any way of doing it electronically. it's obviously they are playing the float to their economic advantage. I know my wife has been in the banking business in the area of money transfer for 20 years!

They did the same thing to me. Guaranteed a quote and even started my policy at that quote which was 200 less then my current policy was. Less than 60 days in to the policy they sent a notice of cancellation and stated they would not insure unless I pay 200 more than my other policy. Which was 400 more than AAA quoted me; plus take an additional 1000.00 deductible on top of the 1000.00 on the original policy. Bringing my deductible to 200.00 and my car insurance went up as well. They claim to be non-profit but surely they are CROOCKED!
