I bought my first car through ABC Motor Credit who financed me with DBS Financial, and received a “hose job”. Unbeknownst to me, the car had a book value of $3, 000 but was sold to me for $8, 445. I was forced to take a 12-month Warranty that cost an additional $1, 600, which made my debt over $10, 000 at 24% interest!

I was told I had liability insurance at the time of purchase but was required to obtain additional coverage on my own. I could not get coverage because the car was only worth $3, 000 and the “total of payments” was over $14, 000!

A careful reading of the contract indicated that the information on the vehicles “sticker” superceded the contract I signed. Since the sticker was removed and I never saw it, I am pursuing this matter on the basis of fraud.

Looking for other people with similar experiences with ABC Motor Credit and DBS Financial. Please contact me via email at: [protected]@bex.net

Wow! Sorry. Didn't anybody tell you that car salesmen are as honest as politicians? You need to learn some things about car repair, soon, too, or you will pay way too much to maintain that expensive car. The dealer also charged you too much for liability. In the future you can get an aproximate value for a car before you buy @ websites like kbb.com, edmunds, NADA.

* HOME OF THE $99 DOWN PAYMENT
BAD CREDIT - NO PROBLEM
BUY HERE - PAY HERE

If you have bad credit it means that you didn't pay your bills. The cost of bad credit is that you will have to take bad deals lie this or get nothing at all.

We had major issues with ABC motor credit who used company DBS (which is really just in house financing) I was told on phone that the car I wanted was in canton and if I got to akron I would have car delivered to akron from canton...it was a good car (a suburu) and not too bad on gas...it was also in my price range (was told it was under 7000) I did not want gigantic note...but I told salesman at ABC I could not make it out as we had no transportation...mind you we lived in a lowerincome community...where the ABC motor $99 down signs are posted...salesman told me don't worry we can come pick you up! I was like great...but I have autistic son and can't be all day...he said it should be relativly quick...they came about 12 pm to get us (a 40 min ride) and we got there I was like where's the Subaru? Salesman was like don't worry were working on it but we have many other cars here to pick from...I said I need a smaller car under 7000...he said ok...anyways after hours of being there. .son getting upset...it was now after 5 pm...getting dark...saleman was trying to force me in huge ugly minivan high miles...salesman said it was only transporyation within my budget...I wanted to just leave but guy who brought us was gone salesman said he couldn't find anyone to bring us back I had no other family or friends that could take us home...I ended up signing contract for a 2003 ford windstar just to get home...I felt forced and lied to just to get me and our autistic son out there only to be stranded...I called manager about the issue and no one helped me resolve this...i told them to repo van (I made payments of $282 a month for 7 mo) so I paid for blue book value...van was sold at auction for $1000 yet now DBS has ruined my credit and is now suing me for over $5, 500 dollars...I'm sooo sick and upset...thank you.

I had a bad experience with ABC Motor credit also! When I called they told me I was approved for a 15, 000 dollar on a vehicle I applied for online! They also bashed another car lot when I told them that I was looking to purchase a vehicle through them. So when I got to Akron Ohio to look at the vehicle I applied for initially, it was not even there! I wanted a ford explorer, cause I have a large family! They knew I needed a third row so they used that as a way to try to force me into a ugly Minivan! I refused and after hours of paperwork and test drives, the people who had brought me had to leave, so now I'm stuck up here with no way to get back home in Medina so I had to buy a van that I did not want! Not only that, but then I was only approved for 11, 000 dollar which stopped me from even getting something better as I was promised! Several days later I began to have problems with the van, like the brakes started to be super loud, and the car was sputting! When I went back to let them know, there was several nicer vans that were the same price and so, I asked if I could trade in and get one and of course they did everything in their power to reject that option! Not even 30 days of having the van, it got worse! They sent me to one of their mechanics who didn't even do rentals and they had the car car for like two days, when I picked it up, the steering wheel was so tight that I almost had an accident picking my children up from school because I couldn't even turn the wheel fast enough to get out of the way of traffic! So I called them and I was super pissed! They then sent me all the way out to cuyahoga falls to another one of their mechanics who tried to put me in a rental that was worse then the van I was driving! I refused and left! Then after calling and treating not to pay DBS they sent me back out to cuyahoga falls and I was was given a small car for a rental! After about five days the van was ready! It drove a little bit better, but then the electrical was messed up! The locked didn't work automatically anymore and the radio would turn down on its own! So once again they sent me back to the first shop that messed up the steering wheel and they refused me any service because they said that DBS owed them moneys, and they weren't doing any work on their vehicles until they paid up! Wow... I was so angry that yes I did curse them at DBS because not only am I stuck with this piece of crap van, but now I can't even get it fixed and y'all have the nerve to call me when I'm one day late with my car payment but here it is y'all ain't even paying y'all service providers! So eventually I told them to pick up the van that I didn't want it anymore! It was considered a voluntery repo! But they waited till Christmas Eve and took the $438 out of my account and when I called and asked why would they take my kids Christmas money like that, they said well u still owe on the car and so what it's Christmas, and we will take it again next month too! O don't believe I cursed so much in my entire life but I fixed that! Lol! Now I'm waiting for them to try to sue me cause ik it's coming! Please do not do any business with these people! They are not worth the headache

We went to ABC motors to trade our second car with ABC motors on Tallamage ave in Tallamage. They said no problem you have outstanding credit with us and DBS. We we wanted a Suv, no problem they said. I always look their cars over because they have alot of bad ones. The car I traded in was nice. It was a 2006 Ford Focus with low mileage. I found a nice 2009 Dodge Journey with low mileage and well taken care of. ABC said no problem and you have 800 bonus points which takes off $1000 dollors on your trade in and your payments will only be a couple bucks more. We only had to put $300 down. Everyting went great. DBS financed us and took our Ford Focus as a trade in. So off we go happy happy we are. But not for long. I get a phone call on Saturday May 6th which I miss. It was from the ABC manager Bill which ok the deal, Bill left a voice mail which he said there was some paperwork that they forgot that need to be completed. So we went to ABC motors first thing Monday Morning. The sales person which I wont name and Bill the manager I will mention his name. They tell us theres a problem, that we have to do the financing all over again because they didnt know that DBS sold our loan to MidAlantic finance, which we said why wasnt we notified and why did DBS keep taking our payments. The answer we got back from Bill the manager was DBS notified everyone, ok Bill you didnt even know. Anyways we are told they have to get the payoff from MIdAlantic and payoff our loan with them, so they did. The sales person gets it and has a conference with Bill the manager. They both come back and Bill tells us we have to choose another car because they cant take the loss. Ok let me get this straight DBS knowing they sold our loan but still took our payments and still financed us and took our car as a trade in and we did and signed a contract for the Dodge Journey again knowing they sold our loan now tells us we cant have the Dodge Journey that we have to pick something else. So The sales person and Bill trys to put us in two Suvs we went ahead and test drive. Well one the right front wheel when you turned it, it sounded like the bearings was going to pop out and the other one we tryed, the engine was bad. We tell them, no on both. They said would you take a car and we told them no we want a SUV. The sales person tells us well if you want the Journey your payments will be about $600 dollors. We said no way. They tell us we cant do the deal and we need the Journey back. So we go home and we call DBS to find out the problem. We got nothing but B.S, we ask why wasnt we notified and why did you keep taking our payments. The guy on the phone said you were notified on Feb. 1st. Oh wait DBS you lied and MidAlantic verified it. MidAlantic bought most of your loans last April 2016 and said you have not notified any one and you are still taking payments from those that the loans was sold. DBS would send the payments to MidAlantic weeks later. At any time DBS could have said and ABC which took our payments for DBS could have said to us your payments go to MidAlantic now, didnt you get your notification. No because we never got one. So if anyone has a loan with DBS you need to check to see if your loan was sold.Bill the manger asked if we left our copy of the contract in the dodge. No Bill we didnt and our lawyer told us that was good we did and now we are going to fight this because actually we own the Dodge Journey. We have a signed contract with DBS and ABC. Oh and we didnt get our down payment back and another thing that has been confirmed. DBS does not report your buying a car and paying it off to the credit bureau. There needs to be a investigation on ABC motors and DBS. We also reported both to the BBB. We also are going to get our congressman invoved.

I'm having major issues with ABC motorcredit as well - the car I purchased was flooded in hurricane Sandy and I have yet to get a refund for it -I never missed a payment and when I found out it was flooded in the hurricane, I thought they would work with me to fix the problem and they didn't- all they did was repossess the vehicle and screw up my credit -now I have to go through arbitration and hopes to get some justice! I've went through Better Business Bureau, the attorney general, FTC, etc, -
nobody will help me and I cannot understand why! Yes I agree investigation must be done!

This place is the worst. They changed my car note after 3 days of having the car saying they mad an calucation error. My transmission went out twice and I was out of transportation at lease 2 weeks each time. Than the truck stop starting and I was no longer under warranty and called them for 3 days to come get the truck and no one ever showed

Good Afternoon!

Is this Company scamming good people with good and bad credit. I brought a 2008 Chrysler for $17, 000, with 115, 000 miles on it. First of all the car was not worth that amount with all those miles on. They told me that they will lower my payment from $560 a month to $87.00 every Friday. If I miss one payment they threaten to reposed the car. I end up loosing the car. The car got sold for $2500. Now I owe $10, 000. I had the car for two years and payment was coming out my check. and when I change jobs it got worse. They did not want to here what I had to say. I feel that all the review people writing about DBS should go to the Attorney General and put them out of business. James L

I to made the mistake of using ABC motors and DBS after reading complaints I was never told by them there is a fee for their crappy warranty just that the car comes with a warranty also 6 months after having the car and it running like junk with well over 100k miles I learned it's worth half of what they charged me (my fault there) but after looking around found a lot rollling to work with me on a newer car with less then half the miles what I got from ABC motors for the same price that's actually priced at value now dbs sends me a letter you owe us over 900 in fees for the car it will be auctioned off and your left owing the remainder of a 13000 dollar loan for a 4000 dollar car that will sell for maybe 1000 them to top it off they call and leave a message I need to work out payments for a car I told them come get or they will garnish my wages and I'm going to guess ABC will bid on and buy the car to sell to some other sucker they can trap

I do agree also they need put out of business they are misleading the fact they say they help people with bad credit to get reliable transportation more like over priced junk and hurt people credit more even cost people there jobs cause they miss work when their car breaks down and can't be repaired

I purchased a vehicle and it was a great little car that worked for me.. When it was nearly paid off (by then dangerous, my then husband found and showed me areas rusted through the floor boards and rusting frame), I traded it in on an SUV that I thought would last. 3 1/2 years later the transmission went with only a week warning (many shops not able to diagnose). I have been making payments even though it was difficult after the divorce almost 2 years ago. Now I don't have a running vehicle. Warranty ended last year and have to make these ungodly large payments. No car to get me to work so can't take a new job. I'm in a rural area, no public transport. I think DBS should at least cover the repair or make it good somehow.
