My complaint is no support system, ladies don't know what they are doing to help you get your business started and they tell you to do every thing online ~ the training, etc. And read the manuals...

. Ha! I called around and found a rep that was an area manager and was told she can't help me because I didn't sign up under her and to call the lady that signed me up! Arbonne is not what it claims to be! ! ! !

I joined arbonne to be a consultant. The lady that signed me up, barbara, stated she would help me get started and I wouldn't have to order anything to get started. She told me she would help me with anything I needed and call her with any questions. After I signed up, she didn't get in contact with me anymore and wouldn't answer my calls. I finally got her on the phone, she said she didn't know what to do with me because all she does is sign up people to get a discount on their orders! What?

Wwwoooooowww! I can't believe she actually admitted that to you. Does she have any sort of management chain?

I am a Mary Kay Rep and I indeed dropped out, then joined up under another Director (who was local and more available to help me). However, my old Director was a nice person and did indeed try to help me. It's just that her main support to me was e-mail and I prefer to get a one-on-one meeting every once in a while. You know?

Also, they completely and totally babied and trained me to do Mary Kay. I was never left in the wind. I even had a local "adopted Director" who took me on for the training. I'm sure that somewhere in your legacy (management line), there is a person who would really want to fix this for you.

If I were you I would try contacting your uplines and if that doesn't work go to corporate. Just send an e-mail on their main website. I don't think they would be happy to hear that this girl "just signs people up". That is NOT what they are supposed to do and corporate loses money if they do that.

That's terrible! I'm so sorry to hear about that, as well. Arbonne is a business to be done for yourself, but NOT by yourself. You definitely need to call 1-800-Arbonne and like the Mary Kay lady :) said, they will definitely not be happy to hear that someone is "just" signing people up. That's ridiculous!

I have the most supportive upline and have been with Arbonne for one year, been a client for 3 years now. We even have some gals who attend our meetings that aren't even in our downline, sidelines, whatever! One girl moved here to Kentucky from New Jersey or something so her team is really far away! I have a girl on my team who has had to move all around due to her husband's job and in each place, she has found a meeting to attend with another team and a VP to take her under their wing. And I also think it's lame that the girl you called to ask for help from acted like she couldn't help you out b/c you weren't on her team! Lame. I met a girl on Facebook from Cali and we share tips on how to better our business and sales to have, etc. That is what being a TRUE Arbonne consultant is all about. I hate that you got caught with a cruddy team. :(

Feel free to email me anytime with questions. I don't mind helping out other consultants! I wish you much success!

Okay I just saw the girl above me comment about her mother not being able to find help. Who is your upline? I will ask my National Vice President to get to the bottom of it.

Email it to me though b/c I just found this site on a fluke. lol I hope I can help you all! These people that are not helping others out need to be exposed cuz that is NOT cool!

I have the same complaint. NO SUPPORT. After being a consultant for a few months and not making any money, I had three people get allergic reactions from the products, my upline basically dropped me telling me that she didn't want to babysit me and to give her a call when I was serious about the business. I was floored, especially, since I thought we were becoming friends. Before I signed up I specifically asked about support and she stated that she had weekly meetings with her team. Well, if she does I haven't been invited to them.

Experiences like these make it difficult to promote the business to others, especially when you know they will be basically on their own.

I am very disappointed with this company. If I didn't know so much about skin care products I would join Mary Kay as they seem to give tons of support and even as a guest they treat you like family. I didn't get this feeling from Arbonne.

Hey gals, interesting to hear so many different comments...I have joined a great team here in San Jose, CA ...lots of help and interest in all of us being successful. I love the product, and am just getting started...sorry to hear about the negative comments...I don't forsee that being a part of the team I am connected to. Its all about all of us being successful that's going to make all of us successful - ya know?!

I am also sorry that you have had such a bad experience. Please keep in mind that each of us are independent consultants, we are in business for ourselves with Arbonne corporate as support. Clearly, the woman you signed up with didn't have good support either or she would have know how to help you, or who to ask.

As far as the the Area Manager that wouldn't help you, SHAME ON HER! She is not working within the Arbonne Spirit. I have a wonderful support system with my upline, but because of where I live vs where they live, Some of my greatest support comes from a Region that is no was benefiting from welcoming me (other than my pleasant company!)

I think no matte what company you become involved with, you risk what you have experienced. Network marketing is a difficult business that requires perseverance, and a commitment to your dream.

I hope you find the right fit for you that takes you to your dreams!

I signed up last month under this chick that was so sweet and just wanted me to succeed and just gushed and gushed. I was very straightforward with her, I told her I didn't want to build a team, I wanted to just make a commission. She told me I couldn't make much at the first level and I said that was absolutely fine with me. When I did my first party, she tried to get me to return something under that party that was from a different event I wasn't even a part of...I refused. Why would I give money back to my upline out of my own pocket? She then said if I signed up people I was to refer them to her and her manager and I wouldn't have to be at the meetings, which I also thought was weird if what they really want from me to is to build up a team (which I already told them I wouldn't be into doing). Any struggled I had was met with her just being super positive and telling me to always keep my "why" in my mind and just plug forward.

So THEN I host my very first party and sell $1000 worth in product. I placed the order the way she told me and then realized (when I didn't see any mention of commission) that she had told me to place it as a consultant order so SHE would benefit from the points because it looked like I was just buying all the product for me. So she KNEW I was trying to make commission and purposefully told me to place the order in a way where I wouldn't get any commission. When I confronted her she told me I had been discouraged to sell just for commission and that this was the way to sell Arbonne to make the most money. I don't think my rep is malicious, I think this is how she was told to sell from her higher up as well. I need to figure out how to find a different group to get advice from that doesn't outright lie.

I started finding stories about reps who made their recruits buy thousands of dollars in products before they could start selling themselves...I get the "each woman is her own business" type of mentality, but there is also no oversight for rouge reps. And then of course the standard line on the Arbonne automatic phone system is "please self help whenever possible"

I like the product, I don't mind the sales model, but I definitely got recruited by someone who isn't playing fair with this system.
