Having done business with Ashley in Florida and received good customer service, on Aug 23 I went to the Snellville, Ga storeto purchase a power lift chair for myself and my wife. I am 82 and my wife is 79 recovering from cancer and a hip replacement. I wanted to put my hands on it and sit and feel it. The company does not keep stock on the floor so you have to order online. If your sales person is not knowledgeable because everything is online is very hard to tell. I am 6'2"and if she had known about the size of the chair we would never have ordered it way to small. The men delivered it Aug 29 when I got home after work as a part time picture framer when I sat down you could tell it was for little people. I could not call on Aug 30 the store had not opened for the day yet so Aug 31, I called the store and told them, they said they would have to contact corporate and get an OK. The people there were pretty sure there would be no problem especially when we wanted to upgrade. I have called corporate customer care myself and they said tough, just suck it up, thank you very much wonderful customer service this is how you treat seniors"Great Company". I have also sent a registered letter to Mr. Todd Wanek to see if he wants to help and make things wright. This has taught me a lesson about buying online. I hope Mr. Wanek will help with God's Blessing
Desired outcome: I would like Ashley Furniture to pick up my power lift recliner replace it with an upgrade a bigger chair which we would pick out and buy.Albert Gorsuch1868 Roxey Lane [protected] [protected]@yahoo.com
