In looking for a way to gain credit for my work and professional training CEU's I discovered Ashwood University. I requested an evaluation, sent them my resume with current college courses and work/professional training CEUs. I received back an evaluation that stated I had enough experience, college and CEUs for my degree. I Foolishly I did not look into Ashwoods background to ensure they were legitimate and my employer would accept them as a valid institute. Now I have to rebuild my integrity with my employer as they question my decision. I am lucky I did not lose my job! I have requested a refund from Ashwood but do not expect to get one.

STAY AWAY FROM ASHWOOD UNIVERSITY! The only way to earn your degree is through good old fashioned hard work!

Try Excelsior College- completely online. Also you can test out of classes and gain credits via Clep, Dsst and their own tests. All my old college courses and military training was accepted as credit. They are also regionally accredited.

THIS IS COMPLETE FALSE! THEY ARE NOT A SCAM. YOU OBVIOUSLY DID NOT HAVE THE EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND NOR THE LIFE EXPERIENCE FOR THE DEGREE YOU WERE SEEKING. USUALLY, IF YOU DON'T, THEY WILL NOT KEEP YOUR MONEY. I RECEIVED MY DOCUMENTS, CREDENTIALS, AND THERE WAS NO SCAM!

This is just a rant because you did not clearly state any facts to what they did. I personally do not like this college that you mention but they are accredited and they took all my credits.

Bellaitaliano: I take it that your grad school degree from a "real" school did not require you to pay to attend? I also assume your "real" college does not offer online courses. Otherwise, what makes your degree more valuable than any other accredited school? Seems to me you might be a dumb a-- if you think paying four times the amount for the same degree makes you more credible. Your degree is not considered paid for? Really? Try not paying all of your "real" school's inflated fees and see if you get that degree or not. Paying more does not make you more legitimate. Bet they did not tell you that in class.

I have carefully read all your arguments, and what I could understand is that Ashwood University sounded more fraud like to have coined their intentions this way " buy a bachelor's Degree, pay, submit your background information and get your degree in 7 days." This look too real to believe. As a young entrepreneur, I wouldn't invest in a thing like, not because I have an evidence to prove that it is fraudulent, but because they sound like one. I believe Ashwood University has good intentions, and I really admired the great deal of effort they must have put in to earn their accreditation. But they must also watch the way they present their intentions. If an employer does not honor a degree, that does not mean such degree is useless or fraudulent. Some employers are bias. What is think we all need to do first before applying to an online university program, is to research in to the transferability of such degree. This will help you to know whether or not the degree would be honored. The best way to do so, is by contacting a few universities online about the possibility of you applying for a higher degree into their university with that same online degree. All degrees are bought with either money, or a combination of your money, time, and efforts. But proper teaching is the key to socialization and maximum intelligence.

Claimed they couldn't pull payment out, but could all those mths before, then all of a sudden sent to collections. When I tried talking to someone to clear up the matter all I was talk to the collection agent... What a joke! No phone call to let me know "something" went wrong just a collection letter.. I will take my business somewhere else Ashwood College payment dept should be ashamed of themselves as well as the rude supervisor I spoke with...
