Asian American Association Telecom Services
tricked my mom, 74-year old, to use their service.
They only told my mom that she didn't need to pay anything
if she was not using the phone and very cheap to call China.
They didn't disclose that once you used the phone what
the charge would look like. All of sudden, items like "Paper Invoice Fee", "Asian LD FEE" show up in the bill, and the next town long distant call was 7 cent/min.
I pointed out to the lady, who said she was the manager, that it was their fault that the sales didn't fully disclose the hidden charge and were cheating customer. She denied and didn't want to give me her name and her supervisor.
When I asked how they switched my account to their service without my agreement, they said anyone who was older than 18 had the right to do so.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
This company is a joke. They switched my parents service without notice or consent. Since I manage and pay their account there is no possible way it could have been authorized. They prey on the Asian American community at large. Especially those who do not speak English well and do not fully understand certain practices employed by shady companies like AAATS. Then they send notices in multiple languages threatening to shut off people's services. Give me a break. All I did was call my original long distance provider and switched it back.
I have no intentions of paying the supposed $7.00 that is past due. What I will be doing is filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. It's unethical how they just arbitrarily switch you out.
i just received a similar bill for $6.49 which i intend not to pay. my mother just had a stroke and had been recooperating since November. I highly doubt she would be able to answer the phone, let alone agree to the terms of signing up for long distance service by this company. The phone is legally under my name and I never gave consent. I will be filing a complaint against them with the better business bureau as well.
I received a call from ASIAN-AMERICAN ASSOCIATION LONG DISTANCE SERVICE (亚洲商联) yesterday. They pretended to be ATT and tried to trick me for signing up their service. They disconnected me afther I questioned whether they are ATT or not. I will call my local phone service today and make sure ASIAN-AMERICAN ASSOCIATION LONG DISTANCE SERVICE did not slam me.
If yes, I have 30 days to take my action
1) Contact ATT about my matter
2) Contact the company and F@#K them off
I found their address and phone# online
ASIAN-AMERICAN ASSOCIATION LONG DISTANCE SERVICE(亚洲商联公司

2) Filing a Slamming Complaint
http://www.fcc.gov/slamming/
3) Spread my words about "ASIAN-AMERICAN ASSOCIATION LONG DISTANCE SERVICE"
online and amount the Asian commnities
4) Sue them via small court for false advertising and slamming
5) Any more actions?
Same here.
They called and impersonated AT&T.
I don't even know how they switched the long distance service.
I filed a complaint through BBB. I suggest you do the same.
I will file a complaint through the FCC for Slamming soon also.
I even called to cancel twice but they haven't complied.

I have been noticing charges on my monthly bill to phone numbers I never made. When I called to ask them to check it, their response was extremely unprofessional. I feel they are over-charging or scheme their customers with unknown calls.
worst phone service and customer service ever. They should not be offering any services to anybody. Very horrible company.
I know this is an old thread, but I just found out that AAATS switched my 75 year old mom's phone company to their service. I don't know how long ago this happened. Mom has no memory of speaking to them or consenting to the change. How do I switch her to a reputable company? The hitch is mom has a legacy landline and I've had a really hard time finding service providers. Mom has been using the same phone for 25+ years, with the same phone number, and she doesn't like change.
Aaats called everyday for 2 months to install an internet serv. for small business of mine.
I finally gave in and installed. After 10 months internet stopped working. I called customer serv but they couldn’t figure out the problem nor want to send out a technician.
So I said forget it, just cancel my service.
The guy said it will cost you $200.
I said fine.
He said I need to send $200 first before they can cancel.
Is this for real? What a freaking joke.
If you people want to submit complaints, perfect government agency is California public utility commission.
Also FCC, FTC and BBB which I’m planning to do tomorrow.
