Dear Customer Care. I handed in my Ryobi Chain Saw (Model CS-216 Serial No: [protected] that was purchased at Builder Warehouse Rivonia Tel: +[protected]. All i wanted was a new blade/Sharpen Chain. They claimed they cant do it and i had to send it to Ryobi via their customer service which is what i did
There was nothing wrong with it apart from me only requiring a paid service :
1) Clean the machine and check lubrication
2) Replace Blunt Chain/Blade with new one
and for them to Send Quote to be accepted asap : this was done 2/09/22 and i was promised turnaround of 3 days. On 09/09/22 I returned only to realize they have not even send the machine to Ryobi.
On 16/09/22 I still have not received a single phone call or a quote ! Upon visiting the store Katlego then phoned Ryobi which stated they dont have a quote yet !
On 20/09/22 I returned again ! Only to hear they still have no quote! They then phoned them and eventually after i left she phoned me and to my surprise they are claiming : that the machine is irreparable (? The machine was not broken ! only needed a new chain/Blade and I thought while it is in for this - please quote for cleaning and lubrication and perhaps also quote for the plastic button that was missing - not effectting operation) and that I had to buy a new one.
After complaining they then came back and said is is R600 for new chain? No not stating it is irrepairable or broken anymore - so machine miraculously now works. I accepted the Quote and the all of a sudden they said they cant do this and that Builder Warehouse must put on a new chain who were the guys sending me to Ryobi? I am now without my chain saw , without feedback on when I am going to get it and with no clue what it will cost ?

Desired outcome: Please return my chain saw with a new chain as quoted for R600 so i can use it and when it brakes, never buy a Ryobi tool again.
