I went shopping at the local store today to pick up a couple of plastic bins. I picked them out and then went to the car while my son paid to the two bins I purchased. When he came to the car I saw that I was charged for three and not two so I went back into the store with the two bins and my receipt.
What a horror show.
I was basically told that I stole the item and was trying to get $15.99 back. Seriously, and then the cashier who waited on my son proceeded to come over to customer service and verbally attack me and said that there were three bins. Then along comes the manager, and I use that term loosely.
The manager says that she has to check the security tapes to make sure that I never stole the items.
Now, I have been waiting at customer service for almost 30 minutes while I am being traumatized by these employees saying that I stole a bin.
The manager came back and said the tapes showed that there were only two bins and I was charged for an extra one in error.
I was not even apologized to by the manager or employee for making such an embarassing mistake.
I returned the other bins I was going to purchase also. What a horrible experience and the cashier was screaming at me as I was leaving the store saying she didn't deserve this.
I never deserved to be treated like a thief.
I would like canadian tire corporate to look at the video tapes of the abuse that I incurred while I was a shopper at your store.
The way I was treated was uncalled for and an abuse of power and was wrong on many levels. Do you know what it feels like to be waiting and having employees accuse you of stealing while other customers are seeing and listening to every word? I'm still shaking from the experience because I was horrified and furious at the same time.
Please make this right.
Desired outcome: I want this incident investigated, the people who treated me this way to be either fired or have more training and I want compensation for what I was put through by the employees at the store.
Canadian Tire - Lack of first aid supplies for staff
I was in to Cdn Tire Truro N.S. today to buy a tarp. when I went to the checkout I noticed that the cashier was trying to tend to a cut finger. I told her she should grab a bandaid and I would wait as I was not in a hurry. She said she could not find one and I suggested to go to the service/return desk. She said she already had and they did not have any. When I asked where they had first aid kits she said she did not know and the other cashier said she had no idea either. After I paid for my tarp I went out to my first aid kit in my car and brought her 2 bandaids. I see this as a very serious safety issue and I would like someone to explain this to me. Either A) these cashiers were never trained as to where the first aid kits are or B) that store is severly lacking in their safety protocols. What if a customer had an injury that needed tending to?
Desired outcome: There should be small first aid kits at the check outs and larger kits at customer service and automotive, as well as some other places throughout the store. Safety should always be #1
