Canadian Tire - Service

Hello. Today I went to shop at your Canadian tire store in Yarmouth Nova Scotia. I have spent 10's of thousands of dollars at your stores in my lifetime. I was told at the door I had to have a mask on. Since you know that his is not a law and will not hold up in court I refused. They refused me service. The young man guarding the door was in my personal space, your rules say 6 feet right, telling me to get out.

As I left I said this is communism as the young man was pushing me along. I told him for the 2nd time to get away from me and asked his name. He replied his name was Mr Tire. First name Canadian.

As I walked through the exit doors Candian Tire told me I could suck his dick. So is that your store policy? I went back in and asked what he said, he said nothing. I replied no you said suck your dick!. I asked again what his name was, a woman employee said his name is Canadian Tire. I said he told me to suck his dick.

So Candian Tire is this your company motto now? Suck our dick?

I will be chatting to the rcmp about this. I will not let this rest. I expect an answer from you. I suppose this candian tire mail will go directly to Mr Candian Tire? Will he put it in writing that I should suck his dick?

Desired outcome: Mr Canadian Tire door man needs to lose his job. I expect a letter of apology from Canadian Tire man. I will not let this go as I am a free Canadian who will not be spoke to by anybody like that.!

Canadian Tire - Front line/cashier attitude

Date of incident: August 10, 2021
Time of incident: 10;21:27
Operator #14 Float: 001

Hi I had purchased 12 bags of Temptations and had placed 8 bags of Temptations in my grocery bag which was opened so that the cashier could see the contents. I had wanted to get her to punch in the quantity of the bags which was 3 bags of 4 kinds of Temptations without having to scan each and every bag as I had other items that needed to be scan. The reason was I was trying to shorten my time spent in the store therefore I went through a cashier instead of the self check machines. At the self check machines every item needed to be scanned and at time the machine will always prompt an attendant to override items.

Anyhow as I was bending down to get the other items from the grocery basket, she asked whether I had a receipt for the bags of Temptations in the grocery bag. I told her that I had one bag each and she just had to scan once and multiply the quantity on her cash register. She said no every item needs to be scanned because they needed to keep track on quantity. I told her that the other cashiers used to do this for me and she said that they were wrong. Anyhow I had to empty my grocery bag into the grocery basket, bend down and hand each and every single bag of Temptations for her to scan. If I had to do this I might have as well gone and do it at the self check machines. I am 63 years old, bending and straightening up is not I repeat not exercise but torture.

Just because I am not White does not mean I am stealing because that is the impression that the cashier gave me. She could have easily told me to lift my grocery bag and counted all the Temptations if she thought that I was going to cheat her by misleading her on the number of bags.

I have worked as a Cashier before and that it not the way to explain to a customer that she was trying to keep check on inventory. I had done inventory checking before too. She looks new to the front end but this is the first time I have been disrespected at Canadian Tire especially in a town like Yarmouth where I live and work in.

With this kind of attitude I will definitely take my business elsewhere. I can get all my hardware needs and pet supplies from other retailers.

Desired outcome: An apology would be nice and better training and a sense of respect at the front line.
