Shoppers Drug Mart

May I first say if this is indeed normal procedure for shoppers drugmart than I withdraw my complaint. However I have not been able to find thus information a u where I have looked.

I am unsure of the dates and I an not complaining about an individual day. Anyhow today is July 22 2023 and I have been using Shoppers drugmart on Grand Ave in Chatham ont for a few months now T o recieve my daily dose of methadone as well as for other prescriptions. Now by 2 of the Pharmacists I ha e been told if I come later in the day like anytime after 8;30 that they will refuse to serve me my methadone, however this only applies to those receiving methadone which should not in any case be withheld as it does have withdrawal effects and an make one very sick by missing a dose especially if they are on a high dose such as myself nd I do not come in after 8:30 on purpose but I work and often get off work early to get here before they close at9:00. However they do not threaten to withhold any other customers medication which is not fair nor should this be tolerable if the store is still open and others are allowed to recieve their prescription right up to 9:00 then why am I being. Entered out and treated differently than others. This is discrimination to those on methadone an d I do not feel is right for them to be turning people away on methadone when someone us are not able to get off work a y sooner
