Canadian Tire - price matching on christmas returns

Hello, on December 22nd I went into the store to buy a Ninja Foodi cooking product. I spoke to several different people as I really wasn't sure of the product and they didn't have all of them on their counter. We discussed the different sizes and prices. They told me that I could exchange the product with the other one (at the same relative Christmas sale price if necessary) after I had surprised my wife at Christmas. The product I bought was the Foodi compact which was priced on sale at $149. The other one was the larger one which was priced on sale at the time at $199. I was assured that I could return it (and get the other for $50 more) if my wife decided on the larger unit. We went back in on January 8th to do the exchange (as my wife wanted the larger unit), and was told that the price was now $299, and the the best price that the manager could give me was $249. I argued with him, but he would not match the pre-Christmas price. I angrily simply returned the device, and my wife didn't get her Christmas gift because they refused to honor their Christmas price. We still want to buy the larger Ninja Foodi, but would like them to honor their pre-Christmas sale price as I was promised at the time of buying the smaller unit. I really am disappointed that they ruined a great surprise gift by screwing around with the pricing even though I had been assured that wouldn't be the case. What can I do to have them correct this and sell me the product at the Christmas sale price?

Canadian Tire - 4 year old tires,

Similar experience as a post few days back.

Bought 4 Winter tires from the Kanata, ON location. When I dropped off my car asked them what DOT are the tires going to be, don't want anything older than 2 years. Person at the counter said the Kanata location is one of the busiest location and tires have high turnover, so it would not be too old.

Low and behold, when I picked up the car two tires were made from 2015, one from 2017, and one 2018. They will accept a return for the tire nor swap newer tires!

Paid full price for 4 year old tires...

Canadian Tire - daniel brook customer service supervisor

Daniel did not take the time to properly explain what I was signing for when I came in to have my car battery replaced. I have paid $75 more then I should have because Daniel did not go through the paper with me. He said "I'll just need your keys and a signature from you here and we'll get started". He tested my battery again after I told him it had died on me twice already and needed to have it boosted. He was very condescending towards me when I questions the price. His body language showed that he clearly didn't want to deal with me any longer. He looked very annoyed with my question s. Questions that I would not have had if things were explained to me properly in the first place. Daniel Brook made me feel stupid for not understanding how this worked. For a customer experience supervisor his customer experience giving fell very short and he should be retrained on how to deal with people. I will never be going back to that location again.
