I have been a regular and loyal customer to the Shoppers at 888 Meadowlands Drive for over ten years. I am in there once or twice a week. Now, there is a cashier on today, and the Assistant manager has already been informed of this, but I wish to take this further. This began last year when I went to get the pop I left in the cart the night before. The cashier did not believe me when I stated I spoke to the Assistant Manager that morning and it was confirmed that yes, the pop was found in the shopping cart the night before. I still had my bill so I thought nothing of it to go pick it up. This particular cashier, did not believe me. She refused to let me get the two 6 packs of pop I had paid for. I told her the Assistant manager confirmed it was verified and to go get the replacement. She stated very abrubtly the Assistant manager was off and she was not calling her on her day off and to come another day to take care of the issue with the pop. I had a very serious problem with her behavior and attitude and refusal to believe me. She then said to go speak to the woman in cosmetics if I had a problem with her answer. I went to cosmetics and the attendant called the Assistant manager in front of me, it was confirmed that the pop was left in a shopping cart at midnight the night before and that I could get the replacement. When I went back to the cash that cashier in question had a problem with having to come with me while I got the pop, and kept going on very loudly how I should not have bothered the assistant manager at home, in front of everybody. I was humiliated. I got the pop and left. That was a year ago and the ignorance continues. Today, she scoweled at me, very abrubtly told me that I could not use my Optimum card for discount (even though I have been getting discounts for over five years. I was again told abrubtly to speak to the Assistant manager about this, and I did. The Assistant manager there now is very nice, and she did acknoweleged that it is normally 65 but some outlets will allow it at there discretion. I normally go to Westgate but have also gotten the discount at Meadowlands as well. I am 61 and never had a problem with it. Now it is not so much the issue of the Optimum card but it is a very definite issue with this woman. I am in there all the time and I never see her treat any customers in the way she treats me. Today was the last straw. I will go forward with this complaint unless this woman is spoken to and acknowledges her actions. I am sick and tired of beging spoken to like dirt and scowled at, and believe me, everybody around me when she does this behavior notices. This totally unacceptable. I have done nothing to this woman. I demand her to be spoken to immedately. The Assistant Manager at 888 Meadowlands will be able to tell you who it is as I have spoken to her already about this. This woman does not deserve to be in the job she is. I have done nothing to this woman ever and I deserve better treatment than this.
