The pharmacists and technicians at this store routinely make the same errors regarding my billing for pharmaceuticals. They cannot seem to keep track of my families two benefits plans (Green Shield and Sunlife).
We have been using this location since 2003. Our benefits plans have had the same accounts and info since the day we gave the coverage info to the pharmacy in 2003. They repeatedly tell us there is a copay or some other residual that we have to pay. They repeatedly forget to run the payment through one or both of our benefit plans. This error has been made for years, and occurs even with prescriptions that we have been taking for many years.
Today, I was asked to pay a "co-pay" for my daughter's prescription, which does not exist. The prescription had only been processed through one plan by whoever filled it — the usual error. Then the cashier tells us it is our problem, not theirs. We've never paid a copay on this prescription, which she has taken for years. Then they make us wait in line for 10-20 min because they can't find the benefit information while we are running ate and while people line up behind us angrily.
For almost 20 years, my family has dealt with the same error at least once a month. We've paid out of pocket and filled out paperwork to get the money back from our insurance, who would have covered it in the first place if the pharmacy was able to process the billing correctly.
Desired outcome: Remedy this error and apply meaningful consequences to employees who erred. Training emploees to be polite, accountable for their errors, and apologetic to those who they inconvenienced.
