They called this morning -10-12-09, they stated there was a arrest warrant out for criminal crimes I committed by not paying back the loan they said they depositied. I went straight to my bank and checked for any deposits in my savings and nothing. I spoke to a lawyer and he stated they violated the FDCPA and not to pay them a penny. I am also going to contact the FDC. I went to the sheriff's office and they checked my name for anything. I called cash connect 10-12-09 and spoke to Monica and I stated everyone I spoke too and she stated we will see once they take you to jail. And when you call the # it sounds like a call center.
How is something like this possible. I have done nothing wrong, except surf the internet last December.
They need to be stopped. I am already on pills for depressiona and anxiety. I thought I was going to have a heart attack today. I have no record and plan to keep it that way. What they are doing is very wrong...

My name is Jacqueline Smith and this exact incident happened to me. This is a scam! DO NOT PAY THEM! I have filed a compliant with the FBI and my local police department. If you have any questions you may call me at [protected].
My ex wife had the same issue, we fell for it and I paid them as she was concerned and had taken out a payday loan but had paid it off. They threatened and harassed her to no end. Calling every 5 minutes, claiming to be lawyers, all in an effort to extort money from her. As I said I paid over a thousand dollars to these people and it is a scam PLEASE do not fall for it.
Call and report them to the FBI even their website has a warning about how they are not to be trusted. You can see it here: http://www.cash-connect.com/
We are currently fighting to get the money back, and are fighting to make sure they do not get away with this again.
They change their phone numbers constantly and do not accept items through the mail to avoid being shut down. Their collection practices even if for actual debts violate the fair debt collection act. Read it and be aware of your rights. http://www.fair-debt-collection.com/
For the Past Month and a half i have been receiving these people with a middle eastern accent, unprofessional calls about my ss# was in lawsuit for a cash connect payday loan. Well i knew i had a payday loan out but i knew i paid it off. So i asked him who was this and who did he work for and he said his name was Sean Black calling from ACS INC and that i had a payday loan i had taken out of 300 dollars and with all the fees i owed 645.00 dollars and if i didn't pay i would go to court and possible get arrested...i panicked and almost gave them my info to my account when i said i am at work call me tomorrow and we can talk...i lied...so i immediately got on the google and searched...and i found this page...not an hour later another phone call from supposedly the law offices of Joe Brown from california called with the same situation. I said hold up...i know for a fact i don't have a payday loan out with Cash connect usa. He became irate and started to curse out and i replied excuse me u are very unprofessional and i want to speak to your supervisor...he then said i am the supervisor...i then said well i need to see documentation of this so called loan/lawsuit...he then said i don't have to show you anything...i then said this conversation is over and i hung up on him...for the past month they kept calling my cell and place of employment. If you get any calls from this so called cash connect legal office...hang up and call the police. I filed a report on them and started to check my credit. Please don't fall for this...they are scamming us and want your money. I called them back and said i have made a police report and they have all your information name, contact number and your fax...if you continue to harass me and at my work i will proceed to the FBI. They claimed that they would turn in my file to the courts and i will be arrested the next day...i said you do that..in the mean time f**** off and leave me alone. I have yet to see any documents and the calls did stop but i made a report with the police and i check my credit everyday...keep an eye out for these so called collections.
Someone just tried to scam my son on the phone, claiming he took out an internet loan for $300 and never paid it off, so they were calling to collect the money or they would take him to court and he could possibly get 6 months in jail. The first caller said his name was Jack Smith. He had a very thick foreign accent and sounded like he was calling from a telemarketing type of location. I could barely understand what he was saying, but he said he was from the United Nations Legal Dept. and was representing a company named Cash Connect Int'l. He hung up and 2 minutes later, I got a call from a guy named John Smith (obviously Jack's brother /s) who spoken English more clearly but also had a foreign accent. He too said that he was from the UN Legal Dept. When I asked what city he was calling from he said, 201 Franklin Avenue, San Francisco, CA. He said that if my son sent the money, they would drop the lawsuit. I started yelling at him that he was a scammer and a BS artist and that I would report him. He got very irate and said they were going to sue my son for the money and that my son could go to jail for 6 months. My son, who is an adult, had never heard of these people and never took out a loan. They did have his correct name and e-mail addy. They wanted the $300 and they would drop the so-called lawsuit. I said to send the legal papers in the mail and I would give them to my lawyer (after I accused them of being scammers from Nigeria). They said they didn't have to send any papers and that my lawyer should call them. Anyway, they gave a return phone # of [protected]. I traced the call back to the Western NY State area, specifically Eric County (either Gowanda or Collins, NY). So much for them claiming they were calling me from San Francisco. I spoke with the police departments in Gowanda and Erie County and with my local police department in another state. It's obvious these guys are scammers. I can't tell if they were from the Middle East or SE Asia, but they refused to send any legal paperwork (so that I could get them on mail fraud) and they wanted the money (my son could send them the transaction via internet (sure thing!) If anyone gets called, contact your local police department and file a complaint.
I am getting calls from these people right now they keep calling and telling me that I am going to jail. They know my address and they say they are watching me. Yes it sounds like a call center in the background. They call six month ago and stop and now they are starting again what should I do.
i looked for a loan over this past winter and visited their site never accepting a loan from cash connect .they say they deposited oney in my account, i too went and checked my account and found no deposit . they constantly call saying they are the police and are going to arrest me and take me to california for trial. they say california but the phone # they call from is from new york . i did a reverse phone look up and it is comeing from a land line, it sounds like a call center when they call, i also can not understand a word they say because they are foreigners. i have contacted the local police who in turn told me to call the attorney general who in turn told me to contact the fbi. nothing has worked so far, they call my boss at work several time a day . do not trust and definatly do not pay
