We recently became clients of Catskill Veterinary. The clinic's location in Middletown is very convenient, and the owner, Dr. Daniela Carbone, is incredibly kind. We had planned to stay with Catskill for our pets lives.
However, our experience changed a couple of days ago. I brought my puppy in for a consultation regarding a spay, and I specifically informed the call center that my dog was in heat and asked if this would be an issue for the blood work. I was told it wouldn't be a problem. However, when we arrived at the office, we were informed that blood work couldn't be taken and that we would need to reschedule for a few months. That wasn't a problem.
The issue arose when I was billed $86 for a consultation that was supposed to include blood work, but it didn't. I was then told I would pay an additional fee for the same service when I returned in November. So, to recap, the original appointment did not include what was supposed to be done, and yet I'm being charged for something that never happened and will have to pay an additional fee. I will not be returning. I am incredibly disappointed. As I mentioned, Dr. Carbone was excellent, BUT the billing process is completely unfair, and it feels like we're being taken advantage of.
