I placed an order on September 3, 2023 to send gluten free, musical birthday boxed, cookies to my daughter for her to receive the cookies on September 28, 2023. Today is September 26th and I realized I did not have any notice of the gift being shipped. I called and first was transferred from Cheryl's to 1-800-flowers (?) who, of course, said they could not help with a Cheryl's order. I was then transferred to a gentlemen named Lester, who informed me that nothing was being shipped ... they could not fill the order, the item was not available. I received no notice of a problem & they took payment on 9/3/23. Therefore, they had my payment and did not set the item aside OR they advertise items they never have and hope for the best! Lester offered to send something, gluten free, but, of course, could not send it in the musical birthday box. I believe he tried BUT, it is my daughter's birthday NOT his nor whoever is reading this. I have been a Cheryl's customer for many years & of course, have dealt with problems in the past but taking payment, not contacting customers prior to an expected delivery date & then not being able to contact anyone at headquarters is beyond the realm.
Desired outcome: Actually, I find your statement that the company "can't read my mind" condescending. I want a refund and an apology. Of course, it won't change the bad taste I'm left with but beyond that I don't work for Cheryl's ... I was the customer!!
