Paid £2500 for 12 weeks 5 star accomodation 11 months ago and so far have received nothing i can use.
Told i was not purchasing a time share but it looks like i have an rci exchange time share that i do not need/want
Mr neil holt the manager and pj at club malta based at the porto azzura hote refuse to contact me to sort mess out so want moneyu back
I have been in contact with the Maltese government and they do not want to know and refuse to do anything to stop these disgusting scams. They are quite happy for these scams to continue in the name of CLUB MALTA.-Must be getting a back hander!
He is now employed at the club salina wharf in qawra and has been for about a month having moved from porto azzura, he is the timeshare manager and was still there when we left on the 20 May 2011
You now will find him in db San Antonio Hotel + Spa,
Triq it-Turisti Saint Paul's Bay, SPB 1024, Malta
I was foolish enough to fall for the same scam. I am in contact with the MTA and the local office of the prime minister. Log on to the below sites - click on contact us and write your complaint, the more people that do this then maybe we will get some kind of satisfaction, I doubt we will ever see the money again though. https://opm.gov.mt/home?l=1 & http://www.mta.com.mt/
Mr Holt is the rudest, most unhelpful and unprofessional man I have ever had the unpleasantness to speak to! My partner and I were mis-sold a 'club membership' last September, which we believed we cancelled last October within the permitted period. It so happens that Club Salina now have no record of the cancellation and my partner and I have a time share we did/do not want and an outstanding bill for over £5000.
My Husband and I have been taken for a ride by Neil Holt at Club Salina Wharf. They agreed to Purchase our Time Share in Spain as part exchange against us buying an apartment at Salina Wharf. They have not kept their contract with us and we now have two timeshares. My Husband and I are in our 70's and do not want all this stress of trying to sort it out. We paid them £1850 by credit card payments but have stopped any further payments. We don't know what is going to happen now.
we have also been ripped off by club malta completely dissatisfied never timesharers which could ruin the maltese people & country dont sign a timeshare
I am told by Tagtok and also the uk European consumer advise that if you have paid by Credit card, then you can claim back ''all'' your money as a fraud or breach of contract, we too have had the same issue...they will also send a letter on your behalf - may or maynot help? ( the european consumer advise line that is )
Neil Holt and Gary Maden have been sacked from the club salina wharf and work elsewhere on the island now
Neil now works at
db San Antonio Hotel + Spa, Triq it-Turisti Saint Paul's Bay, SPB 1024, Malta
Sold agreement at Porto Azzurro in October 2012 which was cancelled and still chasing refund of money totalling £5900.00
Someone by name of PJ Quigley refuses to answer phone despite letters, phone calls, threat of legal action.
Every time phoning reception answers and gives excuse Club Malta offices based at resort not available.
Managed to speak to someone from RCI by name of Paul who said would look into matter abut nothing since.
Club Malta main telephone goes to answerphone and no one available.
Neil Holt is now working at Radisson, Silema, still applying his devious trade - timeshare.
This person in particular is upholding the diabolical reputation that timeshare have. Until this person is brought to justice
then more & more tourists will boycott Malta. Surely the Maltese government must be held responsible for allowing these people to continue, also their employers, The Radissson. The above applies to Gary Maden whom worked at Club Salina Wharf & The San Antonio. And just for future ref, PJ also at Radisson.
Interesting read and shocking that these scams still go on. Recently stayed at Club Salina Wharf where we were told we could sell our timeshare (not at Salina Wharf; we were on an exchange) through him as he has Russian buyers. Said we can get about 20, 000 Euros for it but would need to buy a temporary membership for Salina Wharf costing 8, 000 Euros, then on exchange we would get that money returned. He said he works with the manager or owner of Salina Wharf to help people sell their timeshares. He's based in the Club Salina Wharf. Anyway, sounded very suspect and said we were not interested.
Unfortunately we were not so wise & fell for the scam of we'll sell yours but buy one of ours temporarily! Dave, Sean & David at Club Salina Wharf are the biggest scheisters we've ever had the misfortune to meet. Our debacle with them started in September 2014 & to date we've not got one single penny back & every avenue we've tried has sadly led to a dead end.
We are currently trying the solicitor route to try to get some resolution however we are not hopeful.
Is anyone having problems with exclusive club Malta
Club Salina wharf will cease to be after December 2016.
We gave three options as timeshare owners.
1 join free of charge to crown resorts in Costa del sol to finish the last 9 yrs of our timeshare.
2 join free of charge to a2l in either club Riza of another resort in lanzorate
3 walk away losing money ( none according to csw )
Yes same with us Neil and staff very rude as well we got to still pay the bank the loans we took out with them we up grade three times now we are gold we are paying three loans off should it just be one we pay and not three because we up grade we never got we where paying for never got gold now they are closing we still got to pay the bank as well
CSW has been in trouble since the developer became Malta's High Commissioner to London and his son Justin took over. The money paid is supposed to be held in trust by First National Trustee Bank in order to ensure that owners do not lose out financially should the club cease to operate.
A letter was supposedly sent to members about the closure and also a special meeting was held. We got none of this info despite being "owners" since 2002. The first we heard was when we had a phone call to ask why we had not returned our form to let them know what we were going to do.
The developer will make a lot of money by his action but MTA are not interested.
mr neil holt now working at db san antonio, sold us a timeshare with one bed and a sofa bed which said would be suitable for our child age 11, paid deposit, then monthly payments ever since, surprise surprise when we tried to book to go this year, were told we cannot fit in this room and would have to upgrade! i will be cancelling all payments from my bank and to be honest i would rather pay a debt collector than these greedy lying pieces of S###
people like this giving malta a bad name, my first time there and i absolutely loved it, but been put off by being ripped off by timeshare company, have no desire o ever go again, sold a timeshare or holiday club same difference, then asked to upgrade and pay even more money, promised free weeks etc, now being threatened with legal action etc etc, sold by mr neil holt at db san antonio, i have no intention of paying for something i cannot use, can threaten me all they like
neil holt sold us a timeshare august 2016 promised us we would also get a free week, took deposit in cash and also by bank trnsfer, the first amount within the 14 day cooling off period, on trying to book were told we would have to upgrade as new rules and regulations have came in malta meaning our child would not be able to sleep on the sofa bed provided, ask for proof of this regulations, but just emailed by an equally rude unproffessional man, why would you sell a room that only can sleep 2 people to a family of 3?
Yes they are all crooks. The reason why the maltese government are not interested is that the people involved are linked with the government! Trabona family!
